Re: "Storm the Castle" video
Jonas mentions Bree and Epogen. I asked one of the inventors (my brother) about it.

My questions:
1. Is this a true statement about Epogen-
"Epogen increases the production of protein in the blood stream."
2. If someone was getting Epogen injections, how long would the effects last? Would it affect someone's brain?

His answers:
1. Epogen is a protein. It doesn't increase protein per se.
2 The effects of Epogen can last days to weeks. Some people think Epogen affects the brain, specifically it could "protect" your brain from trauma eg stroke or concussion.

*Edit to add the following from my brother:*
I thought about question 1 some more. The correct answer is that Epogen increases red blood cells in the bloodstream. Red blood cells contain hemoglobin which is a protein. ergo one could argue Epogen increases protein. It isn't a scientifically sound statement but I can see how some might come to this conclusion.

HA! It still blows my mind that your brother is one of the inventors. What a coincidence. Has any of the LG15 producers acknowledged your position and initiated a dialogue about this?

Sometimes skitzo people...either have really low protein or really high protein...maybe they needed to increase her protein to keep her from being skitzo O.O
What ever happened to that girl BA?

This might be a complete shot in the dark, but Bree's consumption of iron pills reminded me of anemia (which I have) which happens when the iron in the blood stream is poor. Iron turns into hemoglobin (i believe, correct me if I'm wrong) which in turn binds to oxygen and helps energize the body. Remember how sulky and tired Bree was when she got to Jonas's? (Not coming out of her room, draping herself over chairs, etc) it could be because she was experiencing a drop in energy as a result of lowered hemoglobin.

Yeah, and not the other definition!

Was that a purposeful pun?

Maybe they were injecting her so she wouldn't get a concussion after they ritualistically bonk her on the head with a giant rock.

I asked the inventor. His answer,
"There are no side effects associated with stopping. You merely stop getting the benefit of the drug."

This has been bugging me a bit.

Post by ryals »

Hi everyone, this is my first post, after reading through the forums a bit, I find that everyone uses Wiki as their most common resource.

I would like to point everyone to an article, there are several simular ones out there, this is just the first I found.

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/17740041/[/url]

Always double check elsewhere to make sure you're getting accurate information, or else we may at sit here for hours wondering at something entirely (and avoidably) inaccurate.

I haven't read the article yet, but I would take with a grain of salt anything reported from someone in direct competition with Wikipedia... and these guys are.

I'm gonna guess the article is about wiki not being a "reliable source" ...I completely agree when refrencing material for school or maybe the news but we're looking for the oddball stuff out there and anybody can write in wikipedia ...so yeah use it with caution but I still think it's great!

In an attempt to pull myself back on topic after just posting something off topic, I'd like to point out some items mentioned in this tread.
First, the post about Jehovah's Witness is slightly inaccurate. JW's refuse blood donations from other people, but they can and do bank their own blood before elective surgery.

Question: was a direct link established in the videos between the epogen and Bree's shots? Could her shots be something else? If so, the epogen stacked in cases could be something else entirely. If she has been giving blood (or gave blood in the past) the Epogen could be used on others who have been exposed to her unique biology experimentally.

Picture this: Bree has a unique biology that produces some sort of chemical/antigen/whatever beneficial to mankind in general or the Order specifically. Or at least the Order is of that opinion. So they have been getting blood or some sort of bio-material from her and experimenting with it. Volunteers have even been injected with products made from these experiments. It is the volunteers who need the Epogen, not Bree. Something in her blood is killing red blood cells in theirs. The Order been shooting her up with something to combat the problem but it's not the Epogen.

OK, there's stupid theory #1
