It's been hitting that here in Ohio, too.

Heat is definitely important across the plains and north-eastern parts of the country. Can you say 'frigid'? The breeze doesn't help the windchill a bit either.
Here, too... The days have been getting to a tolerable temperature, but the nights have definitely made me appreciate the wife even more

Agh, jealous! I have a cat that usually sleeps on my bed but she's not so fantastic in the keeping-me-toasty department.

You know that moment where you just want to grab a pair of scissors and run away with them?

I have a cat that usually lies across our pillows, and a 50 lb dog who tries to sneak onto the bed when we're not looking, but otherwise sleeps on a blanket we put in the corner of the room for her

I had a lap desk on the floor on my room, the cushion facing up. The cushion is filled with these styrofoam beads that are really hard to get off. My cat poked a hole in the cushion, and I found her covered in the little microscopic beads yesterday. Busted!
Book 7: HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS!!!!!!!
I hit 'Edit' on my post, but it quoted instead Oh well... I deleted it and re-did my edit ('cause the G key on my keyboard is suddenly flaky)

Aww, that's cute! Sounds like something one of my kitties would do. Actually, they're far too lazy to move besides flipping over and eating...and one of them is evil. In fact, I just had to put the Beast in solitary confinement for attacking her sister.

haha! I've had some weird cats. I have three at the moment. I have one cat, named Scooter, is realllyyy weird. Well...ok. My aunt went to New Zealand and got us these opossum fur red gloves. We thought they were kinda gross because, well, seriously. Who wants opossum fur on their hands. So they were lying around out house for a while until Scooter started to carry them around in his mouth! Whenever he did this he would mew like he was in pain, lol. Those gloves eventually got lost, but we there have been other gloves that he did the same thing with after that. Always red! Never any other color. What a weirdo.

Ha! I can totally relate: one of my cats carries around socks and does that wailing meow while another one likes scrunchies and jewelry.

That's so weird! He never deviates from his red glove. And your cats like socks, scrunchies and jewelry. (Well...Scooter sometimes cheats and carries a ball of yarn, but who's counting?)

Heh. Up early, watching Dr. Cyclops-- a film from the same geniuses who created the original King Kong-- on Turner Classic Movies. Haven't seen the film since I was a kid.
"You don't seem to realize that Dr. Thorkel is the world's greatest living authority on organic molecular structure." "I guess learnin' a trade's worth somethin'."
"Now you must permit me to return to my work. It's most absorbing. Goodbye." "I will not be treated like an errand boy!"
"I have only one comment to make. If you remain here another hour, you do so at your own peril."
"In my crude way, I am likewise drawing the cosmic force from the bosom of the earth."
"I can see Dr. Bulfinch saying 'Impossible!' when he awakes to find himself dressed in a pocket handkerchief."
Great, cracked plot. Goofy science. Cool sets. Amusingly arch dialogue. Ahead-of-its-time special effects. And it's in Technicolor.
And you haven't lived till you've seen a mad scientist shrink a horse.
I loved this freakin' movie when I was a youngster. I think I still do.
