You'll be pleased to know that my bath has only one!!Marbella wrote:Uhm.. yes.. half fridges, half stoves (sometimes,) and some have half-sized refrigerators.
I'm a creature of habit. I just don't like "different" things all that much. The toilets are different. They're not wrong or bad, just different. I don't like that. I also don't like having two spickets in the bathtub, one for cold and one for hot. How can one get the water to be the perfect temperature under those circumstances?

LOL!!! Wow...did you buy the place from them or are you renting?Jamesyboy wrote:They were complete idiots. They even carpeted round the bedroom wardrobes, so when my housemate took his out he was left with a large wardrobe-sized patch of different coloured carpet!!
And they made a complete hash of the wiring and plumbing!! Like installing a timer for the heating, but not actually connecting it to the boiler!!
I too have discovered the location of our fearless Commander Cloud!

We bought it between the two of us. £192,500 for a 3-bed terraced house. Quite cheap for Reading.Jess4298 wrote:LOL!!! That's fantastic!!!Marbella wrote:By the way..
I have two things I'm really excited about!!
Distribution for my books in the U.K. is being set up.
I have permission from a band named Vibrasol to use one of my favorite songs in an LG-15 video.
Anyway, I need to focus on finishing what I'm doing with the book, but I'll still be in and out.
I love chatting!

Very nice! But what will you do if one moves out? The other pay the other half?Jamesyboy wrote:We bought it between the two of us. £192,500 for a 3-bed terraced house. We decided on 3 years in the house, and then I might buy it off of my housemate, assuming I'm still with Sarah by then. Couldn't afford the mortgage on my own.Jess4298 wrote:Very nice! Good plan! How long have you and Sarah been together?Jamesyboy wrote:We decided on 3 years in the house, and then I might buy it off of my housemate, assuming I'm still with Sarah by then. Couldn't afford the mortgage on my own.

My ex-husband owned his home. He put these extremely heavy, ugly brown curtains up in every room to "keep out the cold."
He had larger appliances than his "mumsy" did. I don't know how she ended up with that set-up. We visited his friends and they had similar kitchen set-ups. John's wasn't as bad. (John was my ex-husband.)
Jamesy, I am pleased that there are not two spigots in your bath.

Jess, you can always "buy out" of a mortgage situation you don't like. I've had friends who have bought houses together. Once the cost is divided up, the "buy out" isn't as much.
