Are we losing interest? (plz read whole thread before reply)

i've been losing interest since right after bree told us her parents weren't her real parents. yeah the whole daniel and bree thing was cute and got me excited, but otherwise i've been waiting here for some action and answers and get nothing.

<--that's my very sad face, creators. i'd rather wait two weeks for a killer video than see one of these bs videos every other day.

I lost interest before Christmas and the only thing that has been keeping me around, besides the friends I've made, is OpAphid. I love playing the game, but since thats been on a bit of a hiatus, I'm starting to get even more bored. The characters have gotten stuck in their predictable little roles and no one is growing or changing as a person. Instead of slowing down and trying to return to the way things were, they need to speed up this story line, give us something more then Jonas' damn study.

Be proactive people, and DO SOMETHING!!!

Yeah, I am really sorry to say that I have felt this way also. And I am really a strong supporter of this production team and the cast. Through this series, I have met some great and interesting people, found a new hobby in making (crappy) videos, trying my hand at running a game (although it is cheesy and ending after this "term") and learned many things through research that I didn't know before.

I really don't want to sound ungrateful because no one is holding a gun to my head and forcing me to watch, log on to the forum, and upload videos to this site. I have enjoyed many aspects of lg15. However, I am feeling that being a viewer who voices genuine concern for wanting this series to be successful really means nothing in the long run.

There are many viewers who are satisfied with anything that happens in the story regardless of the loose ends. And unfortunately as older fans leave, there will always be new, fresh viewers to take their places. And I know that it is just a web series, and it is not the center of my life. Therefore, I don't want to make this a bigger deal than it is.

In addition, I honestly worry about sounding critical and bitter because I know my opinion doesn't really affect anyone but me. The people behind this series have enough on their plates trying to deliver all the interesting ideas that moved me from being a passive viewer to being an active participant. I enjoy the cast of this series and have much respect for them. I respect all the fans who volunteer their time to moderate and administer this forum, work tirelessly on the LGPedia, share their entertaining fan videos and discuss ideas on this forum. I do understand that the people behind this series are very new to all of this. I know that with more experience and applying the lessons they have already learned, they could truly usher in a new art form.

I am sorry for being so long-winded. If you have read this endless essay, know that I apologize to anyone who feels that I have insulted their sensibilities with what really can be viewed as dissatisfaction, yet continued participation. I know I can stop participating at anytime, but my faith in the earlier endeavors of this production team keeps me optimistic that these bumps in the road will smooth out.

I love reading your posts. I'm sad the hear that it's ending after this term. But everything must come to and end, eh? (oh god the canadian jsut came out....)

I'm afraid i'm in the same boat as you. I have so much respect for the cast and crew, and I HATED making this thread...
But I felt that the creators had to understand that, concerning the vetrans of the show, they are treding shark infested waters.

I hate the "Shark Jumping" threads in the plot discussion board, because I am one of the many people who thinks that there isn't THAT many questions that need to be answered. But I feel this thread is a must in this situation. And I think this is perfect timing.

Within the past couple of weeks the plot as been dragged out and not making any sense. But from what i'm gathering, people have been loosing interest LONG before christmas.
I somewhat feel that the downfall began after Big in '06, but that is my habit of trying to make an ego boosting experience a damaging thing.

The purpose of this thread is to NOT bitch and complain about the creator, or yell at them, or hurt their self esteem. But it is to inform them, that some of the vetran viewers are not happy with the way the show is panning out. And that we are beginning to loose intrest. And to inform them, that there is a chunk of the vetrans that they do not want to loose as viewers.

Maybe this thread might have an impact...

I'm losin interest cause I can't go into the chat any longer and talk about it in real time. the forums are nice for some people and I look through them once and a while but I can't go through 15+ pages every time a new vid comes out. And that's just in the video section alone! Bring back the chat please!

Call me crazy, but might they be dragging it out because they are allowing time to do things right? I am not saying they are stalling, but if we get a low-key week or two, it is usually followed by something with action or a reveal.

I think the McPhee cameo mucked things up a bit, but everything up until that was a nice reflection of Bree's dad getting shot.

But honestly, the main reason for burn out and people taking a break is that we all spend way too much time on this forum. If we base our lives around watching this show, we'll never be quite satisfied with what they give us because at best it's still less than 10 minutes of video a week!

And it's not like it's ending anytime soon. It should be a part of our lives, but not the only thing in our lives!

It's just a show! Seriously. Everyone is talking about this like they're being kept up nights worrying about Bree, Daniel, and the Creators' direction for the series. That's almost as bad as people on YouTube who still exert energy to tell people that Bree isn't real.

But what i'm talking about, and i think the majority of us are talking about is the lag that we've been noticing since they've run from Bree's home and stayed in the motels. not the past two or three weeks

its not the characters, its not the guest appearance...

it the dragging out of the story with absolutely no developments!
