According to the Associated Press it's true.

Katharine McPhee, runner-up on Season 5 of American Idol will guest star on a soon-to-be-released episode of Lonelygirl15.

SPOILER ALERT: The name and release date of an upcoming episode is revealed in this Associated Press story.

I'm not much of an American Idol fan myself, but this is pretty exciting news for the series, I think. Everybody'll have to buy McPhee's new album to show their support!

Wow, that should get the show a ton of more viewers. She has quite the cult following.

I guess we know that there will be a vid out Friday, now, and that they will be leaving the manse!

I'm so sorry if this has been discussed before, but I just found out....

According to the AP, McPhee, who was the runner-up on American Idol last year, will guest star on FRIDAY'S episode of Lonelygirl15. The episode is called "Truth Or Dare."

But if they didn't preview it, what good would having a semi-celeb on the show be? Think of all the new viewers who will tune in! They need time to get caught up on what's going on so that they will know what Katherine is doing!

I'm not sure how I feel about this one. I'd be more into it if it were Stephen Hawking or something semi-related to the show.

i really don't like it... i'm sorry but i think it's going to be an absolute pain in the buttock for us on the forum, i think it's going to kill the servers AGAIN and i think that they better start putting some cameos in there for other fans too, celeberties or not.

i don't mind so much that they told us McPhee is going to be on, but i do mind them saying the context in which she will be appearing. they should not have mentioned anything about the plot.

I understand the need for publicity and I won't criticise them for it

I just hope they included her in a way that seems natural, not writing an episode just so she could appear in it.

And I agree, they should have kept it a secret...
