I want to help!
Sure! I use windows. Although the quality is poor in most of my vids, here is what I do:
1. I download the video from which I want to take a picture.
2. Play the video in fullscreen mode.
3. Pause the video at the desired frame.
4. Hit the "Print Screen" key. Be sure you have your mouse pointer off the screen when you do! This takes a screenshot.
5. Open up the "Paint" program.
6. Paste the screenshot into the program.
7. Trim the photo.
8. Save the photo as a JPEG.

easier way to do it...
using windows movie maker:
play the video file in the movie maker (do this by opening the video file or importing the video)
play the clip where you want to take the video, then at the right hand corner of the playing screen there is a camera icon. Click it. It will take a picture and save it in your media library.
this way the photo isn't distorted and squishy
(lol apo...maybe you should start doing this! lol...just joking! i love you)
