It wasn't that strange, really. Daniel and Bree would need some sort of catalyst to make them realize that they already have feelings for each other. I mean, I think Daniel already knows that he's in love with Bree. But I don't think Bree has any clue that he feels that way. Or that she does, too. However, I don't think they'll ever hook up, unless The Creators decide to wind down the series. It changes the character dynamic too much.

There are exceptions to every rule. Generally speaking, girls (especially girls that are Bree's age) tend to treat their male "best friend" as if he were another one of her girlfriends. I voted for Bree and Daniel but only because there wasn't a "None of the above" option. I agree with 'mute that it would change the dynamics too much.

I do think it's possible that Jonas has a thing for Daniel.

but i would just like to point out, with all this speculating, and how jonas avoided it when daniel asked if he had a girlfriend and he just kind of laughed and awkwardly said he was dating a foosball table, maybe jonas really is gay?
i really dont think daniel is cause he has a "thang" for bree.
this could also be why jonas suggested she kisses like a dead fish.
