Slow Server? 1/2/07 4:44PM PST

Anyone else having connection problems? Every other website I try to access is working fine- just lonelygirl15 is slow. I also get sql errors and "cannot connect to database."

I keep thinking it's because they are loading another video but this has been going on for over 1/2 hour.

1. Thanks- I'm happy you noticed. It's my favorite movie of all time.
2. I'm glad I'm not the only one. Maybe they ARE trying to load a video and they are having problems too!

The comments list after the Video's is getting too long. It is pushing the Database server past what it can handle.

We either need a new vid, or we need people to click refresh at the Revver site, not here.

Note: this would cut down on the Creators income, so just click on a few banners to waist some time before you refresh.

Fairly slow on this end also. No errors akin to the Bree Chat night or the like though. Server may just need a kick...

I am sure TWJ will get it right when he has time, he is an extremely dedicated Admin.

Someone should tell The Creators (sounds like The Truman Show!) that we need a new video or the server is going to blow up.

i noticed it was very slow earlier today, seems slightly better at this moment.

i think the main page should only display, say, the 20 most recent comments, and have a button to expand to see all the comments. there are way too many to load the whole thing up for every person who hits the main page.

Good idea. I wonder if I set up a much faster portal with a much smaller footprint, would the Creators give me a small amount of free advertising?

Yeah, there are over 2000 comments now on the main page...it's killing the server.

Yet another reason to eliminate front page comments, I say. SOme people are using it as a message board and they shouldn't.
