It's repeated return marked the incarnation of a series of avatars or messiahs over a period of at least 3000 years. I have no idea whether there is any connection between this ancient avataric system and any offshoot of the OTO, except that I am beginning to suspect that the object that exploded at Tunguska over Siberia in 1908 was the remaining core of this object. No object, no avatar.

In the original Ugaritic religious system the Elohim were the children of El (Saturn) and can be identified with the other planets (including the sun and moon). They are "shining," obviously, because the planets shine by reflected light from the sun. These seven "planets" were identified with gods, thus explaining the belief that they could come to earth. They did in fact come to earth, if by earth one means the horizon where the celestial sphere appears to meet the surface of the earth
