Tacos and brownies.
watch the sun
as it crawls across a final time
and it feels like
like it was a friend
if its watching us
and the world we set on fire
do you wonder
if it feels the same?

We're supposed to eat pork for good luck (on Jan 1st.) in my family...though I have no idea where that comes from.

My friend from Texas said something about beans for new years..like baked beans I think..I can't remember. Does anyone know this?

Black-eyed peas, perhaps? I know that it's a tradition to eat them for good luck on New Year's Eve or Day.
