once upon a time....true story...really off the cuff

once upon a time, a long time ago this fair maiden had two dogs, oh yeah and was married but got divorced after 6 years. she loved the dogs dearly but was taken away, by choice, to a far away land and it was not possible for her to bring her dogs she so dearly loved. one was a springer spaniel, the other a border collie. they were to live with her divorced husband's in laws, quite a good situation for the doggies but still sadness was in her heart for having to leave them behind.

after a few years in this far away land the fair maiden returned to her home land and thought of her dogs quite often but could not bare to think of going to her divorced husband's in laws to visit the dogs. she really did not even know if they were still alive. the thought crossed her mind to just stop by and see about them but could not seem to build the courage to make the visit.

while driving home from work one day, see the fair maiden is in sales and drives every day, quite a bit, to unknown areas each day, she happened to be in the exact area where the dogs were living and decided to "pop" in unannounced to see how they were. it was a glorious reunion, although the doggies did not seem to remember her, but for the fair maiden it was all worth while to get to see them again, and say hello to the in laws, of course. they were up to their old tricks...playing with the frisbee was a delight for me as well as the dogs. they were old and not as quick as they used to be but none the less, alive and well...my, uh, the fair maidens heart melted!

I GOT TO SEE MY DOGS TODAY!! IT WAS THE HIGHLIGHT OF 2006. I MISS THEM SO MUCH AND AM HAPPY TO HAVE HAD THE CHANCE TO SEE THEM ONCE AGAIN.

thanks for reading my long a** story...wish i could, but i live in an apartment...not suitable for 2 big dogs

No problem! It had me hooked. Sweet story.

If the whole stealing them back thing won't work, you can just sneak in their house when they aren't home and visit them. lol

Yep I do. It's amazing that you can still visit them, play with them, etc. You're so fortunate!
