My point was that she would need to be a virgin for many ancient rituals....hence the whole purity thing... and why she couldn't see daniel for a while....I was not off topic >.>girlAnachronism wrote:Some cultures consider any woman whose bare skin has been touched by a man outside her family as no longer a virgin. (Oops, I lost that ages ago). Still to get back on topic...
I saw that on Wikipedia, too...it's pretty interesting.hagbard celine wrote:Jehovah's Witnesses believe that they are to "abstain from blood"; this belief results in the refusal to accept transfusions of blood or blood components.
The use of epogen to increase the number of red blood cells is one suggested alternative to a blood transfusion.
...
from wikipedia
now, i'm not suggesting bree has anything to do with Jehovah's Witnessess, but just thought that was interesting...a religious tie in to the drug...
Thanks- I searched for the user illuminati but not the group- I found it now. This story can get pretty elaborate. I find myself getting sucked in more and more everyday.girlAnachronism wrote:While I'm sure trainer would love to enlighten you, I got here first!HazelButtercup wrote:

could they be a kidney stealing cult?Luv2Skydive wrote:So......maybe she really wasn't taking it after all if it wouldnt cause the tiredness and weakness she was obviously exibiting.![]()
Maybe her dad or mom was taking it. Her mom could have needed a kidney transplant (hey, Bree could give up a kidney....she's got two!)
It would be hard to come up with something too farfetched.....the Creators have done that pretty well on their own.kristenjane wrote:could they be a kidney stealing cult?Luv2Skydive wrote:So......maybe she really wasn't taking it after all if it wouldnt cause the tiredness and weakness she was obviously exibiting.![]()

I just sounded stupid.
But they could jack her kidney and sell it for big bucks.
okay. stupid theory
Very cool about your brother.HazelButtercup wrote:I just talked to the inventor of EPOGEN (my brother!). Here's some info:
Epogen is usually taken for two reasons:
1. For patients with anemia (usually with cancer or with kidney failure, and other reasons for anemia.)
2. For athletes for doping purposes. Can be used before event to build up red blood cells for very aerobic activities or during event if the event is over days or weeks. Common for bicycling because the events are often done in stages over time so athletes' red blood cell counts normally goes down after each stage. Epogen will replenish red blood cell count and it really does help cyclists. It is illegal to do this, of course, and Amgen is working to stop this.
He is going to watch the video and if I get any more info, I will pass it on.
Uhhh, hmmm, would you repeat the question?Pi wrote:Very cool about your brother.HazelButtercup wrote:I just talked to the inventor of EPOGEN (my brother!). Here's some info:

So, I was thinking there should be some sort of connection between all the drugs and things learned. Something comprehensive you know? Could you ask him about a possible scenario where all the drugs we learned about might come into play?
For example,
Is it possible that someone could pick up some kind of bacteria infection like Camplobcter living on a commune, and then needs to be treated with maybe an antibotic like Zosyn?...
However, the infection has been known to also trigger...something like Guillain-Barre Syndrom (GBS)/or(CIDP), "which may be an autoimmune disorder where the body produces antibodies that damage the myelin sheat substance that surronds (neuron) axons." So, something like Cerebyx might also be temporarily given so that the "Phenytoin, stabilizes neuronal membranes and decreases seizure activity."
However, "the main treatment for GBS/CIDP is immunotherapy, which includes plasma exchange <removing the liquid plasma from the blood> or high intravenous immune globulins (IVIG) <protective blood proteins given from healthy volunteers into the vein>."
In turn, with all that blood adding and/or subtracting someone might be given Epogen and iron pills to help faciliate the production of the healthy blood cells, to move the recovery along quicker. Something like that??

Oh god, I'm sorry. Basically, we know of 3 medicines, a diet, and the possible use of iron pills so far. Would your brother know of a scenario or situation where 'all' the meds would be used at the same time or where the use of one medicine would cause the need for another like a causal chain reaction. I know it's probably not a realistic question. I just hoped some possibilities might occur to him.HazelButtercup wrote:Uhhh, hmmm, would you repeat the question?Pi wrote:Very cool about your brother.HazelButtercup wrote:I just talked to the inventor of EPOGEN (my brother!).
