Bree: "I know that I play with stuffed animals a lot, but, right now, it's the only thing that keeps me happy."
I think Ruberic was talking about an early video where Bree might indicate that the animals actually communicate back. I don't recall, but it would probably be some off-handed remark that would be typical imaginary-friend type of stuff that didn't mean anything more at the time, but would have deeper meaning now that some suspect the animals of being bugged (or worse).

Just throwin' this out there.......maybe the place Bree and her father used to talk was a museum. Is there a Museum of Natural History in the area? Just a thought.
I'm googling Simian..and other LG keywords to try and find something..anything--well check this out:
Found 1)
Six Finger Satellite - Severe Exposure (1995, Sub Pop) Six Finger Satellite, via Severe Exposure, perfected their version of vicious new wave hardcore electro-terror, mixed with a biting sense of humor. This alchemy is most apparent on the song 'Simian Fever,'which is about the perils of pissed off monkeys on a rampage after escaping a research lab. They are undoubtedly the most un-Sub Pop band you will ever listen to, perhaps due to the band's geographical origin: Rhode Island. Their follow-up album, Paranormalized, is also great and highly recommended.

We never "know" organismically all that we know theoretically. Parts of us remain simian, childish, "ignorant," murky, inertial, mechanical etc.

You do realize that I was MIA for a month. Maybe I was in a research lab, and maybe I wasn't. But I was definitely pissed off at this video, and I'm a network monkey

I just saw this video because I've been traveling the last few days. It's so mean of them to toy with my heart and mention Cassie. But I think I'll be disappointed if itscassie becomes canon; her videos are creepy, but not as great as CiW (which I don't think they'll be resurrecting anyway, though I would be super happy if it came back bigger and better than ever). Her whole video with the dream sequence (itscassie) was kind of ridiculous.

I'm not sure. I think it was just a fake name they created...so they could get the code. And I'm sure its Powell not Pal. For reference, here is the full message and a link to where the code was taken out:
Hello and thank you for calling Powell's Dry Cleaners. We are open 7 days a week from 9 am until 5 pm. Our current specials are as follows: Dress shirts 3 for $5 with an 8-9 day turn around time. We also offer wash service at a rate of 3 shirts for $12. Please leave a message after the tone and we'll get back to you as soon as possible. Thank you.

And it's an answering machine for Pal's Dry Cleaners. It's actually really weird. Dress shirts have an 8-9 day turnaround???? WTF?? The message says:
BTW, there is no Pal's Dry Cleaners in San Fransisco...
To get the alternate phone number. Use the numbers mentioned in the voicemail and reverse.

A voicemail from Bree's dad! He says:
"Bree, it's your father. If you're listening to this message, you managed to crack my code. Your mother and I are safe, and I need to talk to you alone. Confirm that you got this by sending me a secret message back. I'll meet you one week after that at the place where we used to talk about Feynman [or Simon?] and Jared Diamond. I know you're confused right now, but all will make sense once we talk. I'll see you soon, sweetie."
