Just wanted to pop on here and comment on how many people are actually married or take as opposed to the single crowd.

It's probably just me, but I kinda feel kinda embarrased about being single, now...

Sorry, just my opinion.

I have my theories . . . mostly that people who check both "bi" and "straight" are really mostly-straight-but-wanting-to-sound-cool. Or they fall really low on the Kinsey scale -- zeroes or 1s. (Me, I'm a Kinsey 5.)

I haven't filled it out, but I don't count experimentation in college as being bisexual.

I'm not saying it in a bad way, I just realized when sleeping with women, that I liked men a whole lot more.

So, I guess, yeah, I rate low on the Kinsey scale.

Well I put that I am straight and bi "only on days in end in y".. which was just a lil joke I thought was cute..

anyways.. I didnt put that to sound "cool". Im a married woman, married to a man.. so I consider myself straight. I have only dated men. But sexually, I enjoy both.
So I suppose I could be considered "bi". I really dont like to put a label on myself though. I am a human very open with my sexuality and thats it.

Good for you for being honest about it, Ziola.

What drives me particularly nuts is all of these women who say, "I'm bi -- really I am . . . but I just happened to fall in love with a man, and we just happened to get married. It could have happened with a woman as well."

My reaction is, "How come I never meet any 'bi' women who 'just happened' to fall in love with a woman? And to decide to be with her forever, even though they didn't get any of the societal perks of marriage?"

If you're really bi, don't "just happen" to take advantage of the many, many privileges conferred on you by heterosexual marriage -- not as long as same-sex marriage is illegal in most of the world.

And if you're going to marry a man, be honest and stop calling yourself bi -- unless you're willing to refer to yourself as bi in all circles, including (a) at work, (b) at church (if you go), (c) with your inlaws . . . . IOW, don't just claim to be "bi" where it will give you coolness points. If you voluntarily give up that heterosexual privilege in your entire life, then I'll believe you're really bi.

I can respect that position, cuddlebunni.

Oops. Didn't mean to jack the thread. Now back to our regularly-scheduled survey.

For some reason, the combination of your text with your avatar makes everything you say come across as flippant (to me). It cracks me up!
