Was there any indication that Beast didn't recognize his informant? I don't recall hearing him say "Who are you?" or something of that nature. I don't think saying "mysterious reporter" in the description means he didn't know/recognize her, either. Unless Beast has said something in the character ...

i think this is what happened:
when Glenn left the team, he took the rights to Tachyon with him. The C's can't use her anymore.
