I think she's an Australian attempting a British accent. She's not using a NZ accent. I could be wrong and she may be good at hiding it... but... she sounds Australian to me. The differences in the two accents may not be discirnible to those elsewhere but as an Australian, I can tell the difference ...

You're right that Bree seems detached and bored considering the ceremony was supposed to be amazing, one in a life time-- etc.
