The Elders are the leaders of the Order. They are the utmost figures of authority, and in the Hymn of One, it is an honor just to be in their presence. They have agressive, inhumane bodyguards called Shadows, who cannot leave their sides unless permission is given.
For the Ceremony, Bree's blood was transfused into an Elder, thus extending the life-giving qualities of Bree's blood into the Elder.
