The video status of a Lonelygirl15 video indicates who in the Breeniverse can see that video. If a video is marked as "Private", then only certain people in the Breeniverse can see it.
As of January 2008, there have only been three private videos: Subjects Apprehended, Psychological Torture, and Communication Terminated (all posted in March 2007), all of which were posted by the Order or a renegade faction thereof. If a video is marked as "Public", then everyone in the Breeniverse can see it. In a forum post in February 2007, the Creators expressed that they may incorporate some private videos from main characters at some point in the future.
