Many videos in the lonelygirl15 series contain explicit references to popular culture. This page attempts to document those references.

Daniel Returns, and More Interesting Factoids (Yay!) contains a references to Professor Calculus, a character in the Belgian Comic books, "The Adventures of Tintin."
Proving Science Wrong! contains a reference to "The Tolstoy Principle" which is actually called The Anna Karenina Principle, and is a reference to Jared Diamond's "Guns, Germs and Steel."
Still At Daniel's contains a references to the book Gulliver's Travels.
Happy Thanksgiving contains a reference to Oliver Twist.
Happy Thanksgiving, The Cowboy, and Quitting The Sauce contain references to Bruce Wayne (Batman's secret identity).
Oh, The Places You'll Go is a reference to the Dr. Seuss book of the same name.

Warwalking contains references to the Mathew Broderick movie, WarGames.
Roadtrip contains a reference to a flux capacitor from the movie Back to the Future.
Purple Monkey Returns contains a reference to the movie Point Break.
45 Seconds contains a reference to the Zapruder film.
For The Ladies contains references to Can't Buy Me Love.
Sleepover contains a reference to a scene in the movie "It Happened One Night" (1934).
Storm The Castle contains a reference to The Princess Bride.
Interrogation 101 contains a reference to Reservoir Dogs.
Flesh Wound is a reference to Monty Python and the Holy Grail. The camera work and dialogue may also be a reference to Reservoir Dogs.
Spring Break Sucks contains a reference to The Matrix via Jonas's shirt.
Spanglish is a reference to a movie of the same name, starring Adam Sandler, Téa Leoni and Spanish actress Paz Vega.
Rockin' the Boat contains a reference to The Blue Lagoon, starring Brooke Shields.

Bree The Cookie Monster is likely a reference to the Cookie Monster of the childen's show Sesame Street.
An Awkward Silence contains a references to Vicky Pollard, a fictional character from the BBC TV and radio show Little Britain played by Matt Lucas.
My Name Is Jonas contains a reference to Max Headroom.
The Anti-Cribs is a reference to the popular MTV show, Cribs.
For The Ladies contains a reference to Gilligan's Island.
Hug It Out is a reference to a popular quote from the TV show Entourage.
In No Trespassing, Daniel refers to Taylor as "S-M-R-T," a reference to the episode of The Simpsons, "Homer Goes to College".
Mr. Park Ranger may be a reference to Yogi Bear's name for his "nemesis," Ranger Smith.
In Rockin' the Boat, Sarah is seen wearing a Grim shirt from the show "The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy."

Gemma's version of Rock, Paper, Scissors.

Nut Kills Man contains a reference to the popular game Rock, Paper, Scissors.
Ransacked! contains a reference to the Rubik's Cube.
Bree And I Hooked Up contains a reference to the "walk of shame," commonly practiced by college students the morning after an embarrassing hookup.
Sorry Jonas contains a reference to the French Resistance in WWII.
Hungover's video tags contain references to the Super Bowl.
OUT OF THE BUNKER!!! contains a reference to the slogan "Don't Mess with Texas," the litter prevention campaign that has been educating Texans about litter prevention since 1986.
