She's 17 and on the run from a covert organization that's infiltrated law enforcement agencies... so she's going to make a living as... what? oh well, ditto the rest of series, no one cares about "realistic" anymore. I used to get fired up when I thought the story got silly (I def agree on the "ditto rest of the series"), but I've just accepted LG for what it is and moved on. I still like the format, and the show's still pretty unpredictable. My motto has sort of become, "No matter what happens in the story, the wiki will be good."
