	Jerry Smith (jsmith) is the lead programmer for the [[LG15 website]] and is currently working on adding a selection of new features for the community to use. He got the job by approaching [[the Creators]] via [[PMs]] and asking if he could be involved. They asked for his resume and later offered him the job.

	~~Jerry Smith attends Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas as a Major in Computing Science with a minor in Physics and Engineering.~~

	Due to a car accident, Jerry was forced to miss school for nearly three weeks and as a direct result had to resign from the university for Fall 06. He has already been accepted to Sam Houston State University for the Spring 07 semester and will continue going to school January 2007.

	~~=== Blinn College ===~~
	Jerry attended Blinn College in Brenham, Texas for Computer Science during Fall 05 and Spring 06. During the summer, he transferred to Sam Houston State University where he now attends. He maintained a GPA of 3.41 and qualified for Distinguished Student both semesters of attendance. Upon transfer to Sam Houston State University, he lost a few hours and ended up with a GPA of 3.29.

	~~Jerry was inducted into the Iota Beta chapter of Sigma Kappa Delta during the Spring 06 semester. Sigma Kappa Delta is the English Honor Society for Two-Year Colleges.~~

	~~=== Willis High School ===~~
	Jerry's high school involvement centered mainly around band. He played the flute in the band and on the field while he maintained skills in penny whistle, recorder, piano, keyboard, and piccolo in an extracurricular orchestra.

	~~== Contests ==~~
	He has recently attended the 2006 ACM South Central USA Programming Contest representing his unviersity on November 3-4 2006. The team placed 46th overall beating Baylor University's "Exceptional Programmers" programming team and one of Texas A&M's programming teams.

	Jerry's high school did not have programming classes so he had to serve as the UIL sponsor for his team in order to attend the UIL Competition for Computer Science. Jerry previously had programming knowlege in C and C++, perl, and CGI but was forced to quickly learn Java on his own for the programming contest as well as to teach it to his fellow team mates who had no previous programming knowlege.

	~~Jerry Smith is a member in good standing of the ACM (Association for Computing Machinery) and is involved with SHACS (Sam Houston Association of Computer Scientists).~~

	~~Jerry loves to listen to K-pop (Korean Pop) and J-pop (Japanese Pop). His favorite bands include BoA, Hamasaki Ayumi, and Utada Hikaru.~~

	~~== Dance Dance Revolution (DDR) ==~~
	Jerry has been playing Dance Dance Revolution (DDR) in arcade and on the PS2 for more than 5 years now. He can consistently make AA on light/beginner songs, A on most standard songs, A or B on most heavy songs, and A or B on most challenging songs. He has thought of going to contest for Dance Dance Revolution but is waiting for [[StarLady]] to get good enough to do a couples routine with him. He would release a video of him beating songs if he had a video camera. Sadly, to date he has not made an AAA rating.
