'''John Green''' is an author who was an early fan of [[lonelygirl15]] and a poster at the [[phorum]].  Green was instrumental in encouraging the creation of a new forum, which eventually resulted in the creation of [[The Children of Anchor Cove]] forum.  Green has written two award-winning young adult novels, "Looking for Alaska" and "An Abundance of Katherines."   His third book, "Paper Towns," hits bookshelves in October 2008.

In January 2007, John Green, along with his brother Hank, started a vlogging series entitled [http://www.brotherhood2.com/ Brotherhood 2.0], wherein they gave up "textual communication" for the entire year and instead sent video blogs back and forth every weekday, also posted on YouTube (vlogbrothers channel).  John has credited lonelygirl15 and its fans for leading to the creation of Brotherhood 2.0.
