All of the videos, whether "A Thelemite Speaks" or otherwise, are geared towards presenting Thelema to the masses. In general, Tannhaus tries to speak without using insider lingo unless he explains what the terms mean. This is designed so that anyone, from Thelemite to non-Thelemite, may watch the videos and understand the points he tries to get across.

|This series was subject to the Revamp discussion, and, although tagged, overlooked. It has been added as Tentative Tier 2 to the list, like a new series, and given that it didn't have a chance to be discussed in the revamp before, we'll assume the one month grace period is in effect.

As for my own, personal opinion, on one hand, the series looks rather small and barely noticed, but on the other hand, it seems to have a high count of episodes, and, and that is the important factor, in my opinion, it is the only ''factual'' UGC series there is. At least as far as I know, this is the only series that is not "fan fiction" or a spin-off, but actually discusses the "factual" data given by LG15. This, in my opinion, is notable, and, as such, '''I vote for keeping it on LGPedia as a Tier 2 series'''. As a small reminder, we have a previous precedent for this kind of listing: [[The Deacons (commenter)]] will stay after the Revamp due to the fact that it is the only comments-based UGC known (and thus notable).

[[YouTube]] and [[Revver]] user who made the video series "A Thelemite Speaks" in response to the growing speculation that [[Bree]] was a Thelemite. His series aim to debunk many of the popular misconceptions about [[Thelema]] and also offer advice to Bree and [[Daniel]].

Tannhaus got his name from the medieval legend of Tannhäuser. The myth of Tannhäuser was possibly the last great pagan myth. In it, a germanic knight named Tannhäuser takes upon himself a quest to find a pagan goddess. In the end, we find Tannhäuser finally rejecting Christianity and returning to paganism. This idea of paganism triumphing over Christianity was a popular theme amongst late pagan myths when Christianity was pushing into their territories.

However, [[Aleister Crowley]] saw more in the story of Tannhäuser. He saw it as the progress of the soul and considered Tannhäuser one of the true Rosicrucian adepts in history. Tannhaus first became aware of this myth when he bought a book on medieval myths in his teens. He later heard parts of Richard Wagner's opera Tannhäuser, then finally discovered Aleister Crowley's work by the same name.

==Background==

Tannhaus was born in 1970 in a suburb of Birmingham, Alabama to fundamentalist christian parents. He was raised according to their religious beliefs and became heavily indoctrinated. From 1985 until 1987, Tannhaus was actually a minister in the [http://www.churchofgod.cc/ Church of God] and actually served as children's church pastor for part of that time period. However, barely a month away from official ordination, Tannhaus stepped down from the pulpit. He could not reconcile the teachings of his denomination with his bisexuality.

Feeling rejected by God and looking at things from a Christian perspective, Tannhaus felt his only alternative, if he were an abomination to God by nature, was to serve Satan. So, he began praying to Satan and trying to live what he considered a proper life for an outcast from God. However, he soon began thinking outside the confines of Christian thought and started exploring religions for himself rather than believing Christianity's view of him.

This led Tannhaus to Wicca. He realized that the religion of his childhood's view of Wicca was totally false. Here he found acceptance and love. He started a BBS (Bulletin Board System), since these were still pre-internet days, devoted to paganism and the occult. This BBS was subject to an organized boycott by many Christian churches in the Birmingham area. He read books and whatever information he could find on Wicca and paganism. However, he was still not totally satisfied with his path.

One of the BBS's that Tannhaus regularly called for information on the occult was Modem Magick BBS in El Cajon, CA. This BBS was run by a sysop called Sis. Through her, he found that Wicca's roots actually lay in a religion called [[Thelema]] and a man named [[Aleister Crowley]]. He was able to get information from Sis, who was herself an OTO member, on the [[Ordo Templi Orientis]] and he wrote them a letter.

The OTO responded to his letter and gave him the mailing address for a local body of the OTO. He emailed, they responded, and he had his first physical contact with the OTO. In 1991, he took his first OTO initiation at Eulis Lodge in Atlanta, Georgia. He had finally found his spiritual path.

==Since His First Initiation in the OTO==
This was only the first initiation of several that Tannhaus would take. He associated with the local body in Birmingham and diligently studied all the books and materials he was presented with. He learned to think for himself and not to allow others to impose their beliefs upon him. So, when a situation arose where he had the opportunity to run a local body himself, he gladly accepted the challenge.

He accepted the mastership of Anubis Camp, OTO, and the body was officially transferred to him. Even though he had no experience running the local branch of an occult order, he had a great body of people with which to work with. Together they worked together exploring psychology, magick, religion, and anything relating to the occult. Membership was small, but devoted. Guests came and went, but the core members developed lasting friendships..some of which last even to this day.

==The Call of New Orleans==
When contacted by the pastmaster of Anubis Camp with the opportunity to visit New Orleans and help with initiations at Kali Lodge, Tannhaus jumped at the chance. He had never visited New Orleans and thought it'd be a great experience. Kali Lodge was run by none other than the famous voudou priestess [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sallie_Ann_Glassman Sallie Ann Glassman]. At the time, she was not just a famous voudou priestess, but also a very prominent member of the OTO.

Tannhaus travelled to New Orleans and was captivated by the city. The French architecture and laid back style of the city gave it the air of another world compared to what he had seen before. It seemed that magick was in the air. However, the turning point of his life came at the end of his first visit. During this time, Kali Lodge closed, but the hounfor remained open. However, he got a new job which caused him to have to move into the suburbs. It also took up much of the time that he was devoting to Voudou. So, regretfully, Tannhaus stopped attending the voudou rituals, but still has altars in his house and may one day take his own initiation in Haiti to become a voudou priest.

After the closure of Kali Lodge and the move into the suburbs, Tannhaus continued his life as a Thelemite and a voudouissant (voudou practicioner) even though he did not attend functions for either group. He kept in contact with members of the Ordo Templi Orientis and Houngan Catela even though he lost contact with him for a period of time. However, he was able to explore the Hare Krishna faith for a period of two years, even at one point considering himself a Hare Krishna devotee!

At first, he was attacked quite a bit. Eventually he even left the forums because he felt attacks against him were overlooked because of a bias against his religious stance. But, after about a month away, he returned to the forums when he saw that people were beginning to act more reasonable. Tannhaus got his name from the medieval legend of Tannhäuser. The myth of Tannhäuser was possibly the last great pagan myth. In it, a germanic knight named Tannhäuser takes upon himself a quest to find a pagan goddess. In the end, we find Tannhäuser finally rejecting Christianity and returning to paganism. This idea of paganism triumphing over Christianity was a popular theme amongst late pagan myths when Christianity was pushing into their territories.

However, [[Aleister Crowley]] saw more in the story of Tannhäuser. He saw it as the progress of the soul and considered Tannhäuser one of the true Rosicrucian adepts in history. Tannhaus first became aware of this myth when he bought a book on medieval myths in his teens. He later heard parts of Richard Wagner's opera Tannhäuser, then finally discovered Aleister Crowley's work by the same name.

Tannhaus was born in 1970 in a suburb of Birmingham, Alabama to fundamentalist christian parents. He was raised according to their religious beliefs and became heavily indoctrinated. From 1985 until 1987, Tannhaus was actually a minister in the [http://www.churchofgod.cc/ Church of God] and actually served as children's church pastor for part of that time period. However, barely a month away from official ordination, Tannhaus stepped down from the pulpit. He could not reconcile the teachings of his denomination with his bisexuality.

Feeling rejected by God and looking at things from a Christian perspective, Tannhaus felt his only alternative, if he were an abomination to God by nature, was to serve Satan. So, he began praying to Satan and trying to live what he considered a proper life for an outcast from God. However, he soon began thinking outside the confines of Christian thought and started exploring religions for himself rather than believing Christianity's view of him.

This led Tannhaus to Wicca. He realized that the religion of his childhood's view of Wicca was totally false. Here he found acceptance and love. He started a BBS (Bulletin Board System), since these were still pre-internet days, devoted to paganism and the occult. This BBS was subject to an organized boycott by many Christian churches in the Birmingham area. He read books and whatever information he could find on Wicca and paganism. However, he was still not totally satisfied with his path.

One of the BBS's that Tannhaus regularly called for information on the occult was Modem Magick BBS in El Cajon, CA. This BBS was run by a sysop called Sis. Through her, he found that Wicca's roots actually lay in a religion called [[Thelema]] and a man named [[Aleister Crowley]]. He was able to get information from Sis, who was herself an OTO member, on the [[Ordo Templi Orientis]] and he wrote them a letter.

The OTO responded to his letter and gave him the mailing address for a local body of the OTO. He emailed, they responded, and he had his first physical contact with the OTO. In 1991, he took his first OTO initiation at Eulis Lodge in Atlanta, Georgia. He had finally found his spiritual path.

This was only the first initiation of several that Tannhaus would take. He associated with the local body in Birmingham and diligently studied all the books and materials he was presented with. Guests came and went, but the core members developed lasting friendships..some of which last even to this day.

Along with viewers’ ability to use the official forum to discuss the plot and characters with each other and to post questions, comments and suggestions to the characters via the character interaction section of the forum, [[The Creators]] emboldened fans to “[c]reate your own characters and storylines within the Breeniverse.” The post goes on to explain that once fans create such videos, this work can be submitted "as ‘Video Comments’ to a video we produce." Fans were encouraged to "Give [[Bree]] or [[Daniel]] advice. Create your own story (like [[LordGreystoke422]]) or make parody videos (like [[LonesomeOctober]])...you are only limited by your creativity." Many fans took up this challenge and began creating their own response videos. These fan-created videos are diverse in content, genre and production values.

Members of the official forum were given a section in which to discuss these fan-created works. Some of the comments about these fan creations range from praise to criticism to lengthy discussions to occasional speculation about whether or not a video response is connected to the official story. One example of such speculation surrounding an official connection to the lg15 story has revolved around the video responses of [[Nikki Bower]], whose investigative report videos have been set in many of the same locations as [[canon]] videos. This speculation could be due to the fact that two official characters, [[Gemma]] and [[Jonas]], were introduced to the audience in videoblogs under the guise of fan responses. Once [[Gemma]] and [[Jonas]] were acknowledged by Bree in her videoblog, these two characters were understood to be a part of the [[Breeniverse]]. Speculation about other videos revolved around the fan spin-off [[OpAphid]], which became the official [[Alternate Reality Game| ARG]] of the lonelygirl15 series. [[OpAphid]] is unique in the fact that it was not created by the lg15 production team, but was, rather, incorporated into the series. According to a post made on November 24, 2006 on the official forum, [[the Creators]] stated that [[OpAphid]] "was a 100% fan created [[ARG]]. We liked it so much that we decided to contact the creator and make it the official [[LG15]] [[ARG]]."

In this November 24th post, [[the Creators]] continue with the following statements: “We can't wait to see what other characters and storylines you guys come up with. Your creativity and passion is truly amazing." This BBS was subject to an organized boycott by many Christian churches in the Birmingham area. He read books and whatever information he could find on Wicca and paganism. However, he was still not totally satisfied with his path.

One of the BBS's that Tannhaus regularly called for information on the occult was Modem Magick BBS in El Cajon, CA. This BBS was run by a sysop called Sis. Through her, he found that Wicca's roots actually lay in a religion called [[Thelema]] and a man named [[Aleister Crowley]]. He was able to get information from Sis, who was herself an OTO member, on the [[Ordo Templi Orientis]] and he wrote them a letter.

YouTube and Revver user who made the video series "A Thelemite Speaks" in response to the growing speculation that Bree was a Thelemite. His series aim to debunk many of the popular misconceptions about Thelema and also offer advice to Bree and Daniel.

Tannhaus got his name from the midieval legend of Tannhäuser. The myth of Tannhäuser was possibly the last great pagan myth. In it, a germanic knight named Tannhäuser takes upon himself a quest to find a pagan goddess. In the end, we find Tannhäuser finally rejecting Christianity and returning to paganism. This idea of paganism triumphing over Christianity was a popular theme amongst late pagan myths when Christianity was pushing into their territories.

However, Aleister Crowley saw more in the story of Tannhäuser. He saw it as the progress of the soul and considered Tannhäuser one of the true Rosicrucian adepts in history. Tannhaus first became aware of this myth when he bought a book on midieval myths in his teens. He later heard parts of Richard Wagner's opera Tannhäuser, then finally discovered Aleister Crowley's work by the same name.

==Background==

Tannhaus was born in 1970 in a suburb of Birmingham, Alabama to fundamentalist christian parents. He was raised according to their religious beliefs and became heavily indoctrinated. From 1985 until 1987, Tannhaus was actually a minister in the [http://www.churchofgod.cc/ Church of God] and actually served as children's church pastor for part of that time period. However, barely a month away from official ordination, Tannhaus stepped down from the pulpit. He could not reconcile the teachings of his denomination with his bisexuality.

Feeling rejected by God and looking at things from a Christian perspective, Tannhaus felt his only alternative, if he were an abomination to God by nature, was to serve Satan. So, he began praying to Satan and trying to live what he considered a proper life for an outcast from God. However, he soon began thinking outside the confines of Christian thought and started exploring religions for himself rather than believing Christianity's view of him.

This led Tannhaus to Wicca. He realized that the religion of his childhood's view of Wicca was totally false. Here he found acceptance and love. He started a BBS (Bulletin Board System), since these were still pre-internet days, devoted to paganism and the occult. He read books and whatever information he could find on Wicca and paganism. However, he was still not totally satisfied with his path.

One of the BBS's that Tannhaus regularly called for information on the occult was Modem Magick BBS in El Cajon, CA. This BBS was run by a sysop called Sis. Through her, he found that Wicca's roots actually lay in a religion called Thelema and a man named Aleister Crowley. He was able to get information from Sis, who was herself an OTO member, on the Ordo Templi Orientis and he wrote them a letter.

The OTO responded to his letter and gave him the mailing address for a local body of the OTO. He emailed, they responded, and he had his first physical contact with the OTO. In 1991, he took his first OTO initiation at Eulis Lodge in Atlanta, Georgia. He had finally found his spiritual path.

This was only the first initiation of several that Tannhaus would take. He associated with the local body in Birmingham and diligently studied all the books and materials he was presented with. He learned to think for himself and not to allow others to impose their beliefs upon him. So, when a situation arose where he had the opportunity to run a local body himself, he gladly accepted the challenge.

He accepted the mastership of Anubis Camp, OTO, and the body was officially transferred to him. Even though he had no experience running the local branch of an occult order, he had a great body of people with which to work with. Together they worked together exploring psychology, magick, religion, and anything relating to the occult. Membership was small, but devoted. Guests came and went, but the core members developed lasting friendships..some of which last even to this day.

There is a huge difference between Jimmy Page having a curiosity about Crowley and an interest in his writings and Crowley being an influence of Zeppelin's music!!

More evidence to support that statement is needed or it needs to be removed. Many connections? I think not.

Also, the statement that Crowley "has had an influence on Rock and Roll music" needs more backup than the article referenced. The article referenced would better suit a statement like 'Crowley has long been a subject of fascination to many people, causing even some famous musicians and artists to reference him in their works'
