I deleted the following because the discussion of what you can/cannot do with blue screen is innacurate and more impotantly irrelevant. Furthermore since I was the person who originally added it I figured I may as well put it to death since its not relevant:

The image also prompted some fans to speculate that the videos were shot in front of a blue screen or a green screen with a New York background. This is obviously not the case as Gemma wears blue clothing in her videos, has greenish eyes and has a green house plant in her apartment. If this were edited with a chroma key, these items would disappear. Not to mention that shooting with green screens is very expensive and complicated to get to look good, and the lonelygirl project is low budget.

Yousef Abu-Taleb is the actor who plays [[Daniel]] in the Lonelygirl15 [[List of Lonelygirl15 videos|video series]].
He was born in Arlington, Virginia, and lived in Jordan until he was 8. Allen's father is Jordanian and lives in Herndon, Va. His mother is British and lives in Harrisonburg, Va. Allen, 26, took classes at Blue Ridge Community College before deciding to move to Los Angeles in early 2005. Allen has two brothers and four sisters.

He worked as a waiter and bartender while looking for roles as an actor. Allen also found out about lonelygirl15 on Craigslist. He almost missed his audition, because he got it confused with another audition. When he arrived at the lonelygirl15 audition he said he was wearing a sweatshirt and torn up jeans while everyone else was wearing Abercrombie. Unlike co-star [[Jessica Lee Rose|Jessica Rose]], Allen was not hesitant to take the role.

During the filming, before his identity was revealed, Allen kept a low profile, keeping to his house and wearing sun glasses when he went out. After [[The Creators]] and crew came forward, Allen was interviewed by MTV and CNN. He also appeared with Jessica on the Tom Green show.

I would like to note that the text above does not outright say that Yousef was "fired". It may be that Danielbeast is going to be killed off in an upcoming episode, resulting in him no longer being needed for the series. This seems to me to be more reasonable than just dropping him. Furthermore, if he goes out with dignity, I think many of the fans will be able to forgive the creators. One last note: if the creators were suffering from [[Anti-Arab Discrimination]], don't you think they wouldn't have hired him in the first place? Below is an account of what happened in the Allen Smithee affair.

According to [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Allen_Smithee Wikipedia]:

"Alan Smithee, Allen Smithee, Alan Smythee, and Adam Smithee are pseudonyms used between 1968 and 1999 by Hollywood film directors who wanted to be dissociated from a film for which they no longer wanted credit. It was used when the director could prove to the satisfaction of a panel of members of the Directors Guild of America (DGA) and Association of Motion Picture and Television Producers that the film had been wrestled from his or her creative control. Following a post on the [http://www.myspace.com/youabu MySpace] of [[Yousef Abu-Taleb]] stating that he was being removed from the Lonelygirl15 project someone re-directed LG links for Youself to Allen Smithee. When asked why, the following response was obtained:

According to a Bulletin posted on Myspace, Yousef clears everything up and tells everyone that he is NOT being taken off the show.
