'''Jonas:''' Man, uh...(''holds up hand with bandage'') Yesterday. Kind of embarrassing, but I think I was just venting about a lot of other stuff. So uh, hooray for painkillers (''laughs''). Actually, I've been kinda taking it easy on the painkillers cause I'm trying to make sense of a lot of stuff and I haven't really slept either. So I've been going through my [[Alex|Aunt's]] office and looking through some of the stuff. I wish my aunt was here, actually. I – I miss her; I haven't seen her since I was like... thirteen? Things got kind of awkward after, uh, my parents were gone. You know, I think that she just didn't know what to say. I mean, really, what do you say? Well, the good news is is that things are... starting to come together. I found this scrapbook, and it's filled with articles about my parents. There's stuff in here about, uh, the foundation they were starting, stuff about, well, when their boat went missing, and then there's, one, uh, article about when the search was called off. But the thing is is that the stuff about my parents is just scratching the surface. I mean, that's just the beginning. There are articles in here about all these other people. And I know this is going to sound a little out there, but hang with me for a second. Check this out. Articles in here about a human rights lawyer, an economics professor, a rabbi, an ambassador, publishing heiress, some guy that owned, a, uh, a radio station, a regenerative medical specialist--sounds important. Uh, there's even a former CIA director in here. I realized something. The initials that were CCed on the mission statement that my father wrote, every pair matches somebody's name found in this scrapbook, apparently. And, uh, along with that is also an article about each and every one of their deaths or disappearances under mysterious circumstances. Coincidence? I don't think so. Well, I don't know, whatever my parents and friends were doing against the Order, somebody noticed. Thank God my aunt was smart enough to compile the evidence and put it in a scrapbook. I know you might be thinking that, you know, why didn't my aunt do anything? But, I mean, she wasn't much older than me at that time and everyone that she knew, my parents, everyone was disappearing. Basically, when she was in high school, she did this semester at sea thing. That's where you sail around the world with just a bunch of kids. You learn how to tie knots and stuff. I don't know, I thought it was cool. I always wanted to do something like that. I mean, I didn't like our high school, which is probably why Bree and I got along so well, and I hated our town. I don't know, I just think It'd be cool to sail out toward the horizon and.... Looking at her photo journal just got me thinking of how unnatural our lives have become. I mean, I used to want to be a filmmaker. Now it's... I don't know, there's pretty much no chance of that. Unless I turn this into some sort of documentary or something, I don't know. If only the Order paid us, paid us to be on the run, that would be great. If Jonas's aunt turns out to be a nice person, I might ask her to teach me some photography. She's got a sick camera. Maybe she'd let me take some pictures with her, or with it. It doesn't really hurt that she's kind of cute. Okay, really cute, all right, she's hot. I just feel like, I don't know, quit planning for the future and kind of enjoy life as it comes. I guess I should head back to the house now and see if bitter and bitterer are getting along yet. Probably not. What are they gonna do without D.B.?

My father used to tell me that a science is something that can be explained. He told me not to make that mistake. Since that day, I've been in such a messed up place that I haven't even been able to follow my father's advice. In fact, I must be so easy to fool, I won't even ask the most obvious question when I'm walking right into a trap. Given how elaborate the Gemma thing was, I shouldn't have been surprised that there was a backup in place. This symbol (''Bree holds up the two-legged Watcher symbol'') was in that picture that Daniel decoded. So why is it here? It got me thinking and asking questions for once. And it all fits. His parents disappeared at sea? With my parents gone, what, were we supposed to form some kind of "orphan bond"? That whole "sensitive" thing, always trying to get me to open up. Everything that he has ever said to me has been a lie. Another attempt to control me, to, to...keep an eye on me. I've finally had enough. Whoever is watching this, I have Jonas, and he's not going anywhere until he tells me everything. Right now, I'm just deciding where to begin. I really was clueless before, but that dumb girl... died... the day that you killed her father.

The thing is...Al Capone's enemies knew where he lived, but I guarantee you they thought twice before just going up to his house. The next time the Order tries to hit us, I'm not flinching. In fact, I'm going to hit back twice as hard. I-at this point, I think I'd just prefer a fight that is just going to finish this thing once and for all. Know what I'm saying?

There are some things that I can't talk about, some things that I won't talk about, and some things that I just don't know anything about.

Who's Tachyon? She's a few years older than me--actually, she's not that much older than me. We both grew up in similar environments, only she learned the truth about the Order at a much younger age. And yeah, her story isn't any happier than mine. But life led her down a path towards actually doing something about it. You might have seen her videos. If you were confused, don't worry, I was too. In most of them, she's communicating with her (''air quotes'') "Brother". He's actually not her brother; he's more like a partner. They use lots of codes because they're working together to investigate the Order, and a part of the Order called OpAPHID. I feel like an idiot. I read through a bunch of your comments, and...seems that you've been trying to warn me about OpAphid for quite some time.

Tachyon contacted me after that OpAphid video went out with Daniel in it. Together we came up with this plan to fake out the Order. That's why I was spouting all that crazy talk of doing the ceremony. I was so nervous that I'd mess up, but I didn't. It was like the most exciting, intense spy movie I've ever seen, except for that I was living in it. Tachyon and Brother made sure that we got home safely. They even spent the weekend with us. It was really nice to, you know, spend some time with a girl who knows ''exactly'' what I'm going through. For obvious reasons, she didn't let us film anything. I wish she hadn't left already, but she gave me a disk. It's encrypted. She didn't tell me what was on it. She did promise to contact me and tell me how to open it when the time was right.

It's almost...embarrassing to admit but, for the past few months I've been so afraid to do the wrong thing that I haven't really been doing anything. I finally did something, and not only did it work, it was so much easier than I thought. I think that...I know what I want to be when I grow up.

* While Bree is waiting in the parking lot of the bowling alley, a man in a blue shirt standing by a white van can be seen in the background. He seems to be watching Bree and Jonas. Later, while they are on the road, a white van can be seen slightly ahead of them. (Pictured below)
* This video could not have actually been posted. According to their next video, Bree and Jonas arrived at a motel the evening this was posted and went to an Internet Cafe the next day.
* Part of the final driving scene was filmed on the 101 Freeway in Woodland Hills, CA.
* The strange tag [[hamster]] has appeared, without explanation, in seven other Bree videos, one Jonas video and one OpAphid video.

Maybe he was trying to text more and ran out of time. Something like that. I don't know. I just don't like when the only two possibilities are...huge catastrophe or big misunderstanding. I think tomorrow I'm going to try to convince Bree that we should file a missing person report, y'know? * The tags on the video indicate "Holiday Inn", a specific line of motels. It seems odd that they would be at all specific in identifying their location.
* ''Deja Vu'' is the illusion of having previously experienced something actually being encountered for the first time. Bree is referring to when she was motel-hopping with Daniel to escape the Watchers/Order.
* "The Great Wall of Jonas" [[Pop culture references#References to Movies|parallels a similar scene]] in the movie "It Happened One Night" (1934). In that movie, it was called "the Wall of Jericho."
* Jonas's extreme reluctance to sleep in the same bed with Bree may be further indication of his religious beliefs. Although the pendant cannot be seen in this video, he seems to still be wearing his cross necklace. He also could be falling for her, or was simply trying to be respectful of his friend Daniel.
* Jonas retiring to sleep in the bathtub [[Pop culture references#References to Music|suggests to some]] the Beatles' song "Norwegian Wood" - "I told her I didn't and crawled off to sleep in the bath."
* Many fans have noted how odd it is that a "local" would live far enough away that his house could not be reached in a single day. There is a possibility that Bree, Jonas or the bartender mixed up the term "regular" with "local" and the man in question has a route of some sort that brings him through the area often making him a regular at the bar despite living far away.
*At 1:53 in the video, there is a strange banging sound.
* There are four tags that appear in the order "motel hotel holiday inn" which is [[Pop culture references#References to Music|also a line]] from the Sugarhill Gang song "Rappers Delight." * It is likely that the Creators intend the white van and man from this video to match the ones seen in [[Looking For Daniel|Looking For Daniel]], although there are apparent differences between the men.
* Bruce Wayne is a reference to the secret identity of the comic book character Batman. Jonas made a [[Pop culture references#References to Books|reference]] to Bruce Wayne (as an orphan, he is "more Bruce Wayne than Oliver") in his video "[[Happy Thanksgiving|Happy Thanksgiving]]."
* While Jonas is driving, we can see a heart drawn on the car window, presumably by Jonas or Bree.
* Some might consider the episode a homage to the David Lynch film "Mulholland Drive" (2001). In the movie, there was a strange and mysterious figure known as "the cowboy" who had a bizarre scene with film director Adam Kesher on top of a hill in California. Whether there is really an inspired link between the two characters is yet to be seen.
