==Is Nikki Official?==

Many fans speculate Nikki may be an official character of the LG15 series, but so far this has not been proven. Some fans speculate that she may become an official character eventually, much like [[Gemma]] and [[Jonas]] did. Others believe that she may have been created as a source to disclose information to LG15 fans without straight-out saying it in one of the other official videos.

The production value of her videos suggest she may be an official character; however her videos lack the repeated cuts found in other canon videos (which gave away both Gemma and Jonas). Additionally, in her first video she displayed the full URL of the forum, which many fans speculate may be yet another clue to her being official (trying to attract fans to the forum).

In comments after Nikki's sixth video "Where is Jonas?" a YouTuber called Memewhile declared "This is another actor hired by the Creative Artist agency in LA as part of the Lonelygirl15 series. She is reading a script written by Ramesh Flinders". Nikki responded by saying innocently, "Who's Ramesh?"

The most significant clue which may point to her being an official character is found in her video [[What I Found at Topanga Canyon - NBR 2]]. In this video, Nikki Bower finds a small box near the site of [[The Ceremony]] with a lock of blond hair in it. However, on the top of the box the symbol of [[Watcher|The Watchers]] is engraved. This video was posted ten days ''before'' [[Gemma]]'s video [[A Watcher]] was posted, where the symbol was first introduced.

However, one theory that adresses this issue is that Nikki is simply a fan who has been recieving tips from the Creators. In her first video, Nikki goes to Topanga Canyon but doesn't find anything, and asks for ideas from other fans. In her next video, she says that "I got a lot of tips, and I am back here in Topanga Canyon." And later: "I was told in a private email message, that longitude may have more signifigance than we think. And it may have to do with footsteps." When she takes 118 steps (corresponding to 118 degrees longitude where the canyon is located) she reaches a bridge. "One of you guys told me to keep my eyes out for the bridge... this is the bridge." And looking around the bridge, she finds the box. It is quite possible that the anonymous tipper was The Creators, who got excited at Nikki's first video and decided to plant some clues. Later, in NBR 7, Nikki finds Gemma's building after "I was lucky enough to get an anonymous message that gave me the ZIP Code of where Gemma is residing. I don't know if it was from Tachyon herself or one of her cohorts..." So it seems that Nikki is not exactly an official character, but simply a fan who has caught the attention of the Creators - a pawn, if you will.

In most of her videos, Nikki is walking around and the camera is following her, even though she is clearly not holding it. Nikki never acknowledges a camera person, but it is obvious that she must have one. When asked who her cameraman was by a YTer, she replied that it was her mom. (comment on NBR 6)

'''Paulmark18''' is the [[YouTube]] handle of a duo who have made several videos as [[Daniel]]'s friends [[Paul]] and [[Andrea]]. They turned up shortly after being mentioned in the video [[House Arrest]]. Their first video spoofed the LG15 series, in particular the [[Proving Science Wrong (series)|Proving Science Wrong]] videos.

In it, Paul explains the Baader-Meinhoff phenomenon, and chalks many of the coincidences of the lonelygirl15 video series to the phenomenon. The Baader-Meinhoff phenomenon is not actually a scientific theory, but an internet meme itself, coming from a discussion that developed on the St. Paul Pioneer Press message board.

In the video, which is supposedly edited by Daniel, Paul is excited about the video, while Andrea reads magazines in boredom on the bed (a spoof of [[Bree]]'s video [[The Danielbeast]] where Daniel is the one reading a magazine on the bed and ignoring Bree). Paul also claims to have borrowed [[Purple Monkey]] for use in the video, and indeed a P. Monkey puppet does appear.

In Paul and Andrea's second video they hold a competition with P. Monkey to see who can find the best mythical creature. '''Spoiler Alert:''' P. Monkey wins (well, according to Andrea).

A third video came at a time shortly after Bree told her parents she didn't feel comfortable going through with the ceremony, after which to her everything seemed to be getting back to normal. Paul and Andrea replied with a video in which Andrea worried that the cult might be after them too for being friends of Daniel. She was not convinced that everything was just going to go back to normal, and sure enough soon after their video Bree reported that the cult had not accepted her resignation, followed soon after by the kidnapping of her parents.

[[The Creators]] have said they are interested in incorporating fan videos into the storyline, so it is possible these characters will eventually be accepted as the actual Paul and Andrea but the story behind those who made this video remains to be seen.

There are a number of videos that include footage of a helicopter. Although the characters never comment on it, the editing does seem to suggest that fans are intended to take note of it. It is possible that the Order is employing helicopters.

The ''New York Times'' [http://www.nytimes.com/2006/09/13/technology/13lonely.html?ex=1159848000&en=3d6e55969951817a&ei=5070] identified Beckett as a doctor turned filmmaker.

Beckett also produces the internet mini-series "[http://www.shoutboy.com/archives/west_wingers/ West Wingers]".

The idea of creating the lonelygirl15 saga was Beckett's. He met [[Mesh Flinders]] at a karaoke-bar birthday party in April 2006. Flinders had been working on a character, a shy but precocious teenage girl, who would eventually become [[Bree]].

Jessica attended Mount Maunganui College there from 2000-2001, then was homeschooled while attending an acting class at Studio 111 in Auckland.

In January 2004 at 16 years old Jessica moved to Auckland to study makeup at 'The Academy of Film & Television Makeup' while continuing her once a week acting classes. At some point during 2004 she signed with the Clyne Modelling Agency and starred in the student short film [[Dearly Beloved]]. Her goal out of makeup school was to work with Peter Jackson, which she achieved in December when she worked on '''King Kong''' as an extras makeup artist for a week.

After Jessica's parents divorced in 2004, Jessica moved to Salisbury, MD in May 2005 to stay with her father while saving for school. She soon enrolled in the [[New York Film Academy]] at Universal Studios in Burbank, California. While at NYFA, she had roles in several student productions. Jessica was living in Los Angeles, after graduating from NYFA in April 2006, and looking for work as an actress when she found a listing for an independent film project called [[Children of Anchor Cove (listing)|The Children of Anchor Cove]] on Craigslist. She was one of about 80 actresses that auditioned for the lead part. After two callbacks, she was offered the role of Bree.

Jessica was asked to sign a non-disclosure agreement and was told that the project would consist of a series of videos released over the Internet. She was intially disappointed, hesitant, and almost turned down the project. In film school, actresses were warned to be on the lookout for scams, but she felt she had little to lose and after looking at YouTube and other video blogs she became more comfortable with the project.

She was originally not being paid for the project but as lonelygirl15 became more popular she and co-star [[Yousef Abu-Taleb]] received a salary so they would not have to work as waiters to support themselves.

In LonsomeOctober's videos, P-monkey is a he, though this probably has more to do with the author's sex than P-monkey's, as Bree usually refers to it as a she.
