<nowiki>Insert non-formatted text here</nowiki>Brother (Also known as "10033" and "Sebastian") is [[Tachyon]]'s partner. Brother feigns idiocy regularly, going as far as to claim he cannot find the "any key" on a keboard and doesn't know how to "right click" in order to keep The Order off him. He uses the guise of a surveyor from [http://www.lonelygirl15.com/lgpedia/index.php?title=The_Test_%28USA_Today%29 USA Today] over the phone to figure out who is on Tachyon's side before speaking with them. "Brother is supposed to be the recipient of all of Tachyon's drops and they communicate through voicemail messages and puzzles.

Brother was previously located in London, for reasons unknown at this time, posing as "Sebastian" at a school. [[Gemma]] was also undercover at this school in order to get close to Brother.

On February 15, 2006, Gemma [http://www.lonelygirl15.com/lgpedia/index.php?title=Puzzle_%28Language_Labs%29#Rar_Contents emailed] "Sebastian" an apology for how she had behaved earlier in class. They had been friends for a few weeks before this letter, and she admits that she had become interested in him romantically. Whether her feelings were true or just part of her plan to get close to him, is unknown.

On August 6, 2006, [http://www.lonelygirl15.com/lgpedia/index.php?title=Everything_You_Need_To_Play_OpAphid#IPOD_OPERA_.28what_is_it.3F.29 warpylol] posted the video "Add Poe Hinder Vilification" ("Location Verified, D in APHID") to alert [[OpAphid]] of Brother's exact location. Tachyon saw the video, figured it out, and arranged for Brother to escape. They planted a corpse on the explosion scene to make OpAphid believe "Sebastian" had been sufficiently dealt with.

Since then, he has been under a self-imposed house arrest; growing a beard and living like a shut-in. Brother did this so that The Order would not make the connection that he was the same person as "Sebastian" and had thwarted their attempt on his life.

On December 31, 2006, Brother was to [http://www.lonelygirl15.com/lgpedia/index.php?title=Gemma_%28Part_V%29 assassinate Gemma] for leading warpylol to him. Whether or not he was successful is still up in the air.

*It is interesting to notice that the numbers 10033, discounting the zeros, are the three numbers that, when rearanged, make up the number 313. This is significant in the fact that this is the number of the frame in the Kenedy Assasination film that shows the impact of the actual shot.

This page had gotten a bit confusing, so I archived the old content at [[Talk:Main Page/redesign/archive of dicussion]]. I think the redesign is almost ready, but I read through the discussions and we have a few loose ends to tie up.
# Any last suggestions for design, color scheme or content on this main page?
# What should be included in the video column on the right? OpAphid? NBR? Immant? PaulMark?
# Do we need any tweaks to the column on the left, or do we need to start working on some of the pages that the column on the left links to?
# What exactly is the purpose of the Featured Article? What sort of articles do we pick and how?
I think once we've answered these questions, we're ready to take it live. We'll want to check in with TWJaniak of course. I'd like to put it up January 3rd.
For now, I'd like to jump in on #4, as I think it's an important part of our page. I think the featured article should rotate about once a week. I think that, similar to other wikis, we should use the spot to feature interesting, well-done articles that people might not find otherwise. Some examples that I think could work -- meta-articles about the series like [[Down The Rabbit Hole: The Hunt For Bree|Down The Rabbit Hole]] that I worked on, the [[LG15 Soundtrack]], really cool fan videos like [[Deemontreal]], an interesting new page like [[Everything You Need To Play OpAphid]] when it was first created, or many of the theory pages like [[Water Theme]]. Other candidates could be old standbys that get a good reworking -- and of course there will be new pages that haven't been created yet. The other goal of a featured article section is to encourage people to write creative articles knowing that hard work will be prominently showcased.--[[User:JayHenry|JayHenry]] 12:07, 29 December 2006 (CST)

:#I think we need to play with the next color in the blue header bar. It seems a little too dark to read and it's hard to tell that there's links up there. Other than that, ''I'' think it looks great.
:#I'm not familiar with Immant or Paul Mark, but I do follow NBR and I'm usually just as excited to see a Nikki video as I am to see an official video. For that reason, I'd like to include the more prominant spinoffs such as Nikki Bower, but we would need to determine exactly which spinoffs we need to include and perhaps even make a policy page on it. Of course, I think we should include OpAphid even though not everyone (including myself) follows it. It ''is'' an official ARG, afterall.
:#As for the left column, what I wrote after the dashes needs to be rewritten or tweaked. And the bulleted items might do better in a different order, but I'll leave that up to you guys.
:#Personally, I'm thinking that rotating the featured article once a week is just right. Not too often, but not to far apart, either. I think we need to develop a page which will list all the previous featured articles, and maybe even a small template to include on the article's page (something like a small box at the bottom of the article that says "This article was featured during the week of January 7th, 2007."). We also need a place for editors to suggest articles. This would be a great way to get the entire core editing community to focus on several articles to get them to a "featured article standard" or something. As for what to include, I think we should definietly NOT include videos, characters, or locations. Other than that, I think JayHenry's suggestions about what to include were great.

Did you read the pages that have been suggested? They're all interesting and well-organized pages. This is quite an impressive design. The size seems perfect for a main page; it is uncluttered and has enough info to help a user easily navigate the lgpedia. It still is a wiki-format, yet it has its own distinct lg15 style. I wish I could contribute ideas to this page, but I don't have any. I hope folks put up this new design soon. They may insist that a particular [[template]] or feature appears on a given page, such as production credits appearing on the video blog pages. They may also insist upon the creation of specific pages to serve specific purposes such is the case with the [[The Story So Far...]] article. Most people are familiar with the open structure of [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page wikipedia], however this is not always the case in wikis. Rather some wikis choose to have a much stronger level of [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Editorial_board editorial control].

===Who owns what you contribute to LGpedia?===
The rise of world wide web has given rise to many new questions that have not been completely resolved in the courts. Wikis such as Wikipedia use the [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Text_of_the_GNU_Free_Documentation_License GNU Free Documentation License]. However, it has not been stated what policies are in effect for LGpedia. It is possible that some rights may remain with the original author or the web site owner (the Creators). Videos posted on [[Revver]] are goverened by the [http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/2.5/legalcode Creative Commons Attribution Non-commercial No Derivatives License]. With this license, users are free to download and share the videos as long as links are provided back to the owner and credit is given. Ownership remains with the creator of the video. Though some may argue that making videos that include LG15 footage violates the "no derivations" aspect of the above license, [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fair_use fair] use principals still apply, allowing for quotation, current-affairs reporting, or parody, which most if not all LG15 fan-videos fall under. It should be noted however that the video called [[Grillz feat. Danielbeast, LG15, P. Monkey, and O'n]] has not migrated to Revver.com, presumably due to copyright issues and use of this material should be approached with caution until the copyright issues are clarified.

The situation is much less clear with screen shots which use a much more limited amount of the source content. Many fan sites use screen shots for source material and to date this issue has not been challenged in the courts so we do not have any legal guidelines as to whether or not a screen shot is legal or illegal. Given that [[lonelygirl15.com]] is owned by the Creators, the issue of screen shot usage on the web site, forums and LGPedia is moot.

If a user wishes to retain copyright to what they have written it is probably better to write it elsewhere (such as a personal blog) along with an appropriate copyright notice. The user could then quote the material and it would retain its original copyright. However it is not clear if all such quoted material would be accepted by the LGPedia community since they would not be free to modify the quote (other than deleting parts or all of it).

===Can you remove material that you have added to the LGPedia?===
The answer is yes and no. You can use the edit feature to delete information that you have added. However the wiki also has a feature that will allow other users to restore what you attempted to delete. This is where its important to understand the ownership issue above. If you do not own the copyright to your contribution you cannot force the wiki to delete the contributed information. Hence, when you make a contribution its best to accept that you are permanently giving away all right to what you have contributed. In specific case you could add a copyright notice and describe specific terms of use if you so desired.

===How do I talk to another LGPedia user?===
LGPedians can formally discuss topics by using the user talk feature of the wiki. To comment on a specific article just click on the "Discuss" icon in the header and leave your comment. Note that there is a signature element on the edit menu bar that you can use to sign your discussion comment. Also, if you click on the my talk link at the very top of the page it will take you to a record of comments that have been left for you for discussion. If someone leaves a comment for you here there is probably a preferred place to respond to it but I am not sure what that is so I hope someone will edit this to add in that information.

===How do I create a Template?===
Templates are sections of wiki code that can be used to format information across multiple pages. For example the videos pages all share the same basic template to describe key paramereters of each video (cast etc). The template for creating this format is given [[Template:Blog3|here]]. To complete the template the key information that is specific to each web page is added to the code for that page in a section that invokes the template that was previously created.. To view an example of this just click on edit on any of the video pages and view the completed template.

Creating a template is a little tricky but it is described on Wikipedia in greater detail for those that are curious.

===Will the Creators protect my privacy?===
There is no privacy policy statement on the Lonelygirl15 website. Further it is unclear what kind of commercial entity the Creators are using to commercialize the Lonelygirl15 series. This means that we can only speculate on what might be their privacy policy. Since no privacy statement is given its probably best to assume that users have no right to privacy meaning that the Creators can use, sell, trade or otherwise market personal information submitted to them by users. A user might try to argue that their is an implied privacy just as their is an implied warranty when you purchase a product. However it is not clear if this position would have any validity in the courts.

In addition, it'd be nice to have a wiki front page that looked more like lonelygirl15 and less like Wikipedia. Perhaps the video column should be called '''Latest News''' or something to that effect, since any new video would be news in the LG15 world. Ok, so I've given more thought to the characters column (with everything that falls below it) and what should be changed going forward. Here's a little list I came up with... sorry it's so long and doesn't illustrate anything. I think we have huge potential to save valuable space if we just implement a few of these changes.
*Have a nice little table with the pics of the bloggers and links to their pages
*Other characters
**Mention Lucy, Bree's mom and dad, P. Monkey, Owen, Thor with links to their pages.
**Leave out Deacon (individual), Watcher, The Other Monkey, Cassie, Paul, Andrea, The Deacons (so redundant, but it's there), Gemma's flatmate. While these people certainly exist, there's too little to be said about them to really merit mention on the main page. Maybe we need a character's page with another nice looking set-up in which we can include everyone... and we can link to that. That way we can include everyone.
*Leave out Ambiguous Mystery People heading and Bukanator... it was current a long time ago, but not so relevant anymore, I don't think
*Link to article [[The Creators]], but not to each individual profile (make sure there are links to all of them in the article)
*Production Team - also link to article and not all the individual people (we can write one if we don't have a suitable one yet)

I was wondering if it is actually necessary to include ALL the information on the front page. It might be enough to link to certain catagories. Sure, listing the main characters (Bree, Gemma, Daniel, Jonas) is okay, but what about characters with very little airtime (Lucy, or the Deacon/Deacons) not to mention the space that all this stuff takes up. If you could just link to a characters portal page (or whatever it's called, my tech terms as you might be able to tell are limited) and from there jump to more specific catagories or direct characters, it would save space, and it would make the whole thing less confusing. Also the video column, to me at least, seems like a good idea, but what if you listed, with that little jpg preview (i like that) the name of the most recent video and then the description and the "author"/character. and then maybe, using only titles (like the current main page) listed the last three? there are about a million ways to do all this, but this was just my input. Since one of the goals of the redesign project was to make the main page look less like Wikipedia and more like Lonelygirl15, I thought maybe we should give some thought to our color scheme. Right now the main page uses pastels reminiscent of Wikipedia. When we redesign it, we should try to use colors that mimic the LG15 website (much like we've used templates to mimic user's YouTube profiles. I think we need to find new pictures of Gemma and Jonas. For whatever reason, both of them have shorter vertical distances which makes them look slightly akward compared to Bree and Daniel. The problem with finding good Daniel pictures is that in virtually every Daniel video, he's zoomed in one his face so tightly that you can't help cutting some of him off. I actually didn't want to use a picture from that video because he doesn't usually dress that way, but it's one of the best framed videos, and that particular frame is also the of the moments he comes closest to smiling. First, I love the new character box with their pictures. I would like to see that expanded to include the Creators (if they want) and I've made one for unofficial spin-offs as well. In my opinion, the Featured Articles section should be moved to the bottom.
Perhaps a special "the story so far" section could get its own prominent place on the main page, while the November 28 chat hardly deserves a place on the main page. There are only the same couple of sections in there, a whole transcript will never be compied as promised. There is very little of the actual chat in there almost a month on, and I think at this point it is hardly relevant anyway. What happened happened, and I don't think it needs a main page placement. We need to think of a way to compress the main page, if we keep adding each video like this, along with the numerous sections that are on there now, it'll end up going on forever. The reason is that I think the main page needs to be more like a portal or table of contents rather than lists to specific articles. For instance, if underneath the bloggers box, you had links to "LG15 Staff," "Bree's Religion," "Locations," "Unofficial Spin-offs," etc. the page would be much more condensed and easier to navigate. :Okay, I think we discussed it up above somewhere, but a lot of us seem to think that the best thing to do with the main page is to make it considerably smaller. The page will be much more user-friendly and aesthetically pleasing if needs little or no scrolling to wiew the information. As Andy says, each of those subheadings could be made into a page, and on the main page, we replace them with a link. Actually, we'd even go further, replacing several sections with a single link. I like "LG15 Staff", or maybe even "Behind the scenes", which would link to a page that had subsections of links and maybe short blurbs on the Creators, the production staff, and the cast (as opposed to the characters they play). Then we could have a link to [[Breeniverse]], which many have been saying should be a much larger article; we could make the article start with the basic definition (pretty much as it now stands) and then subsections of links to related topics, such as locations, info on Bree's religion, the timeline page and the story so far page. We could also include a link to the official characters page here, as technically, they're part of the Breeniverse. Then we'd also have a link to a page on spin-offs, which we maight expande to include even some of the more minor spinoffs in a simple list. And we'd have a link to [[AphidPedia]], although we might not label the link that way, as it might be confusing to newcomers. ]

Hope nobody minds, but I figured that it would be better just to '''do''' something that we seem to agree on, rather than screwing around describing everything before it happens. I think we're dealing with a relatively small group of people who are very interested in working on the new main page, so I think it's pointless to have major discussions on everything instead of just doing it.

That being said, I changed a lot of stuff on the left hand column, under the encycolpedia heading. I removed ''all'' of the subheadings and somehow moved the information in a list of links underneath the bloggers table. By doing this, I seriously shortened up this column and right now it's equal with the latest developments... so, if we maintain the size of the latest developments, it should look pretty nice (speaking of which - we need to determine what qualifies as a latest development: for example, does a new Nikki Bower video count?).

I moved the music and related sites to the new [[Behind The Scenes]] page, and I'm about to create a [[lonelygirl15.com Site Features]] page with links to the forum, chat room, LGpedia, and video list pages. I was initially going to put that as a section on the Behind The Scenes page, but I figured it should be more prominant. Also: I'm going to cleanup the unofficial spinoffs page, since it seems the more prominant spinoffs aren't included (presumably since they were already listed on the main page). I also think that we need to add some spaces between the latest video and other news, because it looks too blotched together (in my opinion).

Other than that... I don't know what else needs to be done? Obviously, the top section needs to be removed. And then... what else? Should we put it to a vote and see if everyone else likes it? And if it's well-accepted... make it the main page?

To me it just seems like too much of a stretch to make an article about this just because Gemma said "they operate a bit like an order of knights". She wasn't referring to any current or historical order of knights. Especially since the [[Email exchange with the creators]], I think it's been clarified that this would be a made-up order anyway which would have nothing to do with the knights of the round table. Perhaps a short description about the Knights of the Round Table could be put into the [[Watcher]] article or in the Notes section of the vid where Gemma talks about it in lieu of this article. There are no ads YET. I am just trying to think ahead. I created this page because I thought it was better than sending people over to Wikipedia. It just gives us more options to explain why she said what she said. It also epooses people to other items on the index menu. As the knight situation becomes clearer there might be a better way to do all of this but for now it works fine. Why do addition pages create a problem. I put the work into adding them to the index, it provides the information thats needed. I just don't get why people are page averse? Do you know that the creators plan to put ads on the wiki? Although it could be done, it doesn't seem like their intention, and it's not a part of the Wikipedia structure either. When the knight situation becomes clearer, perhaps that will merit a Knights page, but we've yet to see even one more reference to knights in the series. :Well in my opion part of the function of LGpedia is to explain what terms used by characters mean. Because knighs is a central issues when discussing religion I felt it was better to clarify this term on LGpedia rather than just hyperlinking wikipedia. There are issues with the Holy Grail that tie in with both the Knights of the round Table and Kights Templar which complicate things a little. I realise that the Knights Gemma refers to is fictional but I think they way I set this up accomplishes what needed to be accomplished. Yes, I agree the information is a bit more thorough now. However, I think the point of it could nevertheless be summarized with a sentence or two in the Notes section of that video. Similary, "wanker" is not its own article, even though there was a reference to the term in a Gemma video. At first there was an article for it, but eventually it was summarized to what was really important, and moved to the notes section of that blog. And that's for a comment that received 'much' more attention than the KotRT reference. If this is all the relevance that the subject has to the series, I don't see why we can't seriously consider that option. I agree with Owen (who happens to be cool.) This page, though created with good intentions, does not merit the space (however small) it takes up. It would be much easier (and, may I add, at the expense of no one) to just link, as per suggested, to a Wikipedia article. No one is ''page adverse,'' rather some are adverse to pages that have no information directly pertinent to the series. If anything, this is definitely one of those pages. Sorry Modelmotion, but adding pages for the sake of accumulating hyperlinks, so adds, that aren't there, can be viewed, does the wiki itself no good, and also takes up your time. --[[User:Demosthenesdown|Demosthenesdown]] 22:07, 9 December 2006 (CST)
