I guess whoever wrote this things must have had some kind of a naval background. (''Sniffs'') Yeah, that smells like a clue. (''Cut to Jonas at the edge of the lake'') This is so... so weird. I've been here before. Yeah... I used to go fishing here with my [[The Whartons|dad]] when I was a kid. Maybe there was more to those trips than I thought. (''Cut to a tree and Jonas looking up it'') (''Laughs'') Ahh! I have no idea what I'm looking for to be honest. First part of the code translated as "Caldon Lake." 'Kay, we're here. But then it said, "by the marked tree," so... I'm guessing one of the trees around here's gotta have some sort of marking on it? I don't know. Keep your eyes open. Oh, yeah, I guess I gotta do that.

(''turns it right side up'') this is the signal flag for the letter A. It's also an abbreviation for "Diver Down." Yeah, diver down. So I guess... (''laughs'') I guess that means whatever I'm looking for is in the water. I'm going swimming! (''Stuffs documents into bag'') And the last part was in morse code and it said "black rock" so I'm looking for a black rock in the water. (''Sniffs'') Sounds easy. (''Grabs shovel'') Good thing I'm prepared, huh? (''Grabs the camera'')

(''Cut to Jonas crouching down in front of the camera in his bathing suit''.)

'''Jonas:''' Okay, so I guess I'm not as prepared as I thought. Didn't bring flip-flops. (''Sighs'') All right, anyway, (''clears throat'') I'm gonna have to leave you guys here for this part. Wish me luck. (''Goes to walk away'') This better be worth it. That's all I'm saying.

(''Jonas gets up and heads over to the water with his shovel. Noise from behind the camera can be heard''.)

(''Jonas goes out of view and we hear footsteps approaching. Two gloved hands appear in the shot and begin rummaging through Jonas's bag. They pull out a pair of laboratory goggles. They fumble through the rope and finally find the documents underneath''.)

(''The gloved person fumbles with the documents but scoops them up and runs away''.)

Right? So I did a quick check online. Every single name on here, signed in full, corresponds with every initial on my dad's [[The Order in the Modern Empire|thesis]]. My dad's name is on this paper alongside eleven other names including Michael Byron Carruthers. (''Gets louder'') As in... (''turns around to see if anyone is around and gets quieter'') as in [[Lord Carruthers]]. No, why would Lord Carruthers' name be on a Resistance document? I don't know. (''Grabs briefcase'') But we're gonna find out.

(''Cut to Jonas lying on the grass near his truck'')

'''Jonas:''' You know, when I think of this lake or this mission statement... (''sighs'') it makes me realize this is getting all very, very personal. You know, I started this trip out with Gina's drawings and now everything, everything's leading back to my parents. You know, when I first found out they were still [[Hey Dad|alive]], man... that's a feeling that's just impossible to describe. When they didn't [[A Family Affair|remember]] me, I just... I just kinda gave up on 'em. I gave up on ever knowing the truth about their role in the Resistance, what happened to them after they disappeared, just- just the whole thing. Maybe that's what this is all about.
