==Character History==
Emma was adopted by [[Jonas's parents]], who belong to the [[Hymn of One]]. However, as [[Daniel]] explained in a forum post, Jonas has "embraced her like his own flesh and blood because he want[s] a normal life with parents and a sister." Shortly after Emma met Jonas, it was revealed that she was "Trait Positive" and had been chosen to be the new [[The Ceremony (ritual)|ceremony girl]]. Jonas and Daniel quickly drugged her and took her to a remote location, and asked [[Sarah]] to bring [[Spencer]]'s serum, to try to make her "Trait Negative." Although they told her a false story about meeting her parents for a vacation, she soon searched the Internet and discovered that her parents had been shot, about [[Bree]]’s death and the Hymn of One. She made a meager attempt to run away, but soon decided to stay, making Jonas promise to never lie to her again.

In the video “Shadow of Death”, Emma, Jonas, and Daniel find themselves surrounded by the Order. In the midst of the ordeal, [[Sarah]] appears. In the end, they make an escape when Emma charges at a Shadow, grabs him and he mysteriously dies. The remaining Order members flee and Emma and the rest depart without resistance. The video ends with Emma saying “Where'd they go?”

Emma’s first video log came on September 12th, 2007 entitled “[[Go For It :)]]” In this video she expresses a need to make sure people do not fear her. She also states her confusion about the odd death of the Shadow which supposedly took place at the same time as she touched him. It is clear at this moment that she has no understanding about the incident.

Soon after the confrontation, [[LaRezisto]] released a video about Emma titled “[[Help Us!]]”. In the video a male voice tells Emma that she has a power, that she should help LaRezisto and that the Order fears her. The video ends with the male voice calling her “Angel of Death”. Daniel reacted with his own video called “[[Bullsh%t]]”, saying “What can I say? Look... anyone can make a video and post it on the internet.” Mistrust of LaRezisto is expressed through the entire video.

In the video "[[Decision Time]]", it is revealed that Emma began taking injections to convert her to trait negative. In the following video Emma is shown boarding a train with her parents and leaving Sarah, Jonas, and Daniel behind in Arizona. Sarah had helped her secretly buy at ticket on the internet, to the dismay of Jonas.

Inmy observation of the lgpedia. I've decided that all the character pages need a new layout. More informitive and factual, rather than speculatory(if that's a word). It should be based on what we know of the characters, not what we hope to happen or assumptions. I shall start with Emma's page and I hope nobody takes offense, but I'm taking down all the little cute captions under the pictures. Please don't kill me.

==In the early videos==

'''Bree's religion''' was not directly stated in the series until months after she had been on the run. Many used to believe her to be a member of a [[Thelema|Thelemic]] religion of some sort or Argenteum Astrum, as a picture of [[Aleister Crowley]] is prominently featured in her bedroom. Moreover, the word Thelema is written in Greek (Θέλημα) at the bottom of the page at [http://lonelygirl15.com lonelygirl15.com]. However, Darbyite Designs also appears at the bottom of the page, a reference to the Plymouth Brethren. Crowley was raised in the Plymouth Brethren sect. Both of these references then might not be references to her religion, but to Crowley instead. But also note the head scarf she wears. This is something female Plymouth Brethrens wear when out in public.

Bree spent a long time preparing to undergo a [[The Ceremony (ritual)|ritual ceremony]] related to her religion. In [[The Ceremony Is Tomorrow :)]] Bree tells us that the ceremony will take place on October 12th, 2006 which is also Aleister Crowley's birthday.

In [[Daniel, Be Careful...]] [[Bree]] talks about the importance of the secret nature of her religion. Aleister Crowley also talks about secrecy, but the very word "occult" comes from the latin "occultus" meaning "things secret or hidden". It is often used in the medical field, such as "occult bleeding", which would mean bleeding that is not obvious to the naked eye.

In [[I'm Hiding Out]], [[Daniel]] described Bree's religion as a [[Possible influences of Bree's religion#Cults|cult]].

In [[Learning Egyptian]], [[Gemma]] claims that Bree's religion is not a Thelemic religion at all but a secret society called [[the Order]]. The common occurrence of blood rituals in {{wikipedia|necromancy}} may also give us a clue.

There have been frequent references to [[The Occult]] in Bree's videos.

==The Hymn of One==

In [[Losing My Religion]], Bree for the first time talks (somewhat) openly about her religion. She says that her [[Bree's parents#Mother|mother]] was introduced to The Hymn of One by a university professor when she was studying at [[Scotland|Edinburgh]]. This religion turned out to be merely a front for the Order, or as Bree puts it, "the recruiting arm". Whatever the Order does, it executes quietly on the side. Bree has not yet expanded on the belief system touted by this "religion", but she does describe the effect it had on her mother. She mentions that her mother had been "looking for answers", and went through some big changes when she joined. According to Bree's father, she used to be introverted but became a "first to pick an argument" person after joining.

The Hymn of One has an official website at [http://www.hymnofone.org hymnofone.org], which was registered on March 31st, 2007 (prior to the release of Losing My Religion) and is hosted at [[lonelygirl15.com]]. At present the website contains very little information, but its in-game features may develop further over time.

Currently, the website is down, for unknown reasons. The HOO could have gone into hiding, or may simply not need to recruit any new members.

In the Kate Modern video [[Charlie's party]], we learn that Kate's new friend, Steve is a member of the Hymn of One, leading to the first reference of the Hymn of One in Kate Modern.

== Audition ==
In the video [[Sing With Me]] it was revealed that the Hymn of One was accepting applicants. On their web site at http://www.hymnofone.org/audition was a survey. The survey asks 20 questions to which the answers are strongly agree to strongly disagree and several essay questions. The applicant then receives a score about how compatible they are with The Hymn of One. The answers below yield the highest compatibility. The essay questions do not appear to effect the score.

Shortly after filling out the *applications* many fans received emails informing them about a HymnOfOne Seminar that would take place in Los Angeles (A copy of the email is pasted below) Many fans believed that it was a hoax, and that they were being sent spam emails, but after a post from the creators stating that the seminar was real, many decided to go. The seminar was a success and many fans enjoyed it.

for membership. The next step in your journey towards singing the
eternal song is to attend a seminar for potential new members. Our next
seminar will be held this Thursday, May 31, 2007 between 12:00 and 2:00 pm.

between 12:00 pm and 12:30 pm on Thursday, May 31. One of our brothers will be
awaiting your arrival near the tennis courts. He will be wearing a black suit.

==Plot Background==
'''Daniel''' a.k.a. '''Danielbeast''' or '''Beast''' is [[Bree]]'s best friend, (past) love interest, and the co-star of the Lonelygirl15 [[List of Lonelygirl15 videos|video series]]. He graduated high school in June 2006 and had a graduation party which Bree was not allowed to attend. Daniel urged Bree to rebel against her strict parents and is concerned about her religion and the ceremony she was supposed to partake in. Like many of the fans, Daniel began to investigate these mysterious things surrounding Bree and had taken to following her around and recording her actions, even after Bree had asked him not to do so via a video post. On both these occasions [[Lucy]] was taking Bree somewhere; once to a nearby park for what appeared to be a practice session for the upcoming ceremony and then a trip to a medical complex.

Daniel is much more social than Bree, he has had friends besides her and used to go to parties, which he had coerced Bree into sneaking out to go to. Two of his other friends have been named, [[Paul]] and [[Andrea]].

Several of Daniel's videos had been made in [[Daniel's bedroom]].

Daniel has on one occasion broken into Lucy's apartment. He found on her computer pictures of himself. He became worried and posted a video on the subject. His worries had been reflected onto Bree, causing her to question her [[Bree's religion|religion]].

Daniel apparently has two cameras. One is a webcam that shoots videos in the standard 4:3 format. The other is a mini-DV handheld that shoots videos in the 16:9 letterbox format. We have seen the webcam in a mirror in the video "What Did Daniel and Dad Talk About?" and Jonas mentions receiving a tape from Daniel via Bree in the video "Your Decision." Interestingly, Jonas also appears to own both a 4:3 tethered webcam and a 16:9 handheld videocam.

Daniel dropped out of school at a junior college, where he was taking film classes, and left his job at [[Gas 'n Eats]] to accompany Bree [[The road trip|on the run]] from [[the Order]].

Daniel's parents do not have much influence on him, due at least in part to a history of alcoholism. Daniel appears to have quite a tendency to be affected by alcohol as well, as shown in [[Truth or Dare]], [[Drinking Problems]], [[Uncle Dan]], [[Vegas, Baby!]], [[Spring Break Sucks]], [[Running For Life]], and [[Intervention]].

Recently, Daniel had shown a romantic interest in Jonas's Aunt [[Alex]].

==Etymology==
Daniel is a Biblical name from Hebrew (דניאל) meaning "God is my judge." This is the name of the prophet whose story is told in the [[Bible|Book of Daniel]]. One of the stories tells how the prophet Daniel saw visions of supernatural "beasts". These comparisons have been drawn by LG15 fans because Daniel's username on YouTube/Revver, as well as his nickname in the videos is 'Danielbeast'.
