Sarah: Captain's Log. Star date blah blah blah blah. Seems as though we've been trapped in a vortex of pure nothingness. I believe the natives of this strange planet call it the Midwest. There is not much here besides roads and abandoned tundras and more roads and uh more roads and the occaisional roadside diner, which is where we are now. Yeah I don't know. I don't think it's the Midwest. I think what's bugging me so much is that I've been trapped in a car for 3 days straight. Yeah. Jonas doesn't say more than 2 words when he is behind the wheel. Reed will not stop bitching about the fact we need some awesome mix cd to raise the roof. I swear sometimes I think his slang skills peaked in 7th grade. Umm...He's kind of funny.

Reed: Hey! Hey! I've got Shirley Temples! Here- oh no wait I drank out of that one. Here.

Reed: Jonas said no more videos.

Sarah: What? Do you always do what you are told?

Reed: Depends on who's telling.

Sarah: What if I'm telling you?

In order to participate in [[The Ceremony (ritual)|The Ceremony]] [[Bree]] had to eat a special diet. Very little information is available on the contents of her diet. In her video [[The Ceremony Is Tomorrow :)]] Bree says: "The diet has been near impossible. I don't know how I did that. Luckily, today they let me have milk and cookies." So it seems that she normally wasn't allowed to eat milk or cookies under her diet. Bree also mentioned in the forum, "My diet was not a 'diet to lose weight diet' ... it was restrictive but only to certain things. No sugar but lots of red meat. That sorta stuff." Nikki Bower's investigative reporting reveals that [[The Hymn Of One]] does not allow chocolate in her video, [[Kicked Out - NBR Investigates]].

After Bree and [[Daniel]] run away and stay in [[Motels#The first motel|The motel]], Daniel prepares a special breakfast for Bree in [[Breakfast In Bed]].
