perhaps....as a young girl "Bree" was abducted - and then given to her "parents" in the order....she COULD be one of those who went missing in that pile of information...the publishing heiress maybe?

The "regenative medical specialist" made me think of Bree's "Dad". Just thought I would throw that speculation out there. Since he did die in suspicious circumstances, which would make him a double agent. Not sure if it really plausable, but whatever. - 86.151.68.123 (since it didn't seem to put it in by itself like it normaly does, I am everything from the "regenative medical specialist" bit btw)
