[[Lonelygirl15]] began in May 2006 on [[YouTube]] when a young girl named [[Bree]] started posting videos about her life, her religion, and her relationship with a boy named [[Daniel]]. The videos quickly grew to have a huge following, but fans began to suspect that Bree was not real. After [[Down The Rabbit Hole: The Hunt For Bree|a lot of sleuthing]] fans of the series discovered that Bree was in fact an actress, played by [[Jessica Lee Rose]] and that the show was a production.

Since the reveal, the show has continued with new videos released several times a week, new characters and even an [[Alternate Reality Game]]. While the videos still appear on YouTube, the show is now hosted at [[lg15.com]]. Many fans of lonelygirl15 have created their own stories, and in addition to the lonelygirl15 [[canon]] there are numerous [[LG15 Spin-offs|fan fiction]] series.

The LGPedia attempts to document it all: the story, the characters, the fans and what's happened behind the scenes. If you are unfamliar with the lonelygirl15 story, please feel free to examine [[The Story So Far...]] to gain an insight as to what has happened so far in the series. There are well over 400 lonelygirl15 videos now.

Thanks to the success of LG15, [[the Creators]] managed to strike a deal with social networking site [[Bebo]] to develop a similar series for the UK market. [[KateModern]] exists in the same universe as Lonelygirl15, but is based in London; according to [[Miles Beckett|Miles]], ''"The characters 'can' communicate with each other but it remains to be seen how much they will. Things like the Order, the Hymn of One, and all of that larger mythology will be in both series to varying degrees. Think of it like, the Order, HOO, the stuff about the blood, the girls, the Elders, etc. etc. are all the same across both shows. But, the characters and plot are different. [...]"''.

Not much is known about KateModern yet, as the [[Fight and Flight|first video]] was released on July 17, but we're confident we'll soon be able to cover KateModern just as well as LG15.

Moving to a new city and starting a new job is time-consuming, so being LGPedia admin is no longer in the cards. Perhaps if and when things settle down, OIC will drop in and make a gazillion lightning edits. LGPedia has been an immense amount of fun, mostly thanks to the interactions with other great LG15 fans and OIC is proud of the long, long way this wiki has come since she started editing. Well, a little about me (but not too much, that would be BO-ring).

I started following the LG15 thing sometime mid-October when everyone already knew it was fake. I think this new medium for telling a story is very very cool. To tell you the truth, I'm not really happy with where the story is going anymore (for a number of reasons), but I keep coming back. Why? Because somewhere along the way I got hooked on the LGpedia. I'm a fan of wiki models but I was a little intimidated by Wikipedia and didn't get around to learning to post on it. LGpedia seemed like a friendlier place, with more newbies and more work to be done. So now even though I don't get a kick from the series, I still really like editing the wiki.

This little section is like a to-do list for me. I'll just be writing down things that I'd like to see on the wiki. If any of these sound like something you'd like to work on, do feel free to pitch in!

==Articles that need some TLC==
As of late I've noticed some important articles need to be updated to reflect what's been happening in the series. An example of such an article is [[Daniel]], which hasn't been majorly updated since before the (fake) ceremony it seems. In this section I'll keep a list of articles that I think need work. Sometimes I come across them while I'm busy working on something else, and then I forget that I meant to get back to them. That shouldn't happen anymore!<br>
If you see an article you'd like to work on that's on this list, by all means, jump right in! Part of the reason I put them on here is so other people will think to improve on them, not just me. =)

*A page or userbox on the responsible use of the darned '''Preview''' button. I love seeing new people get interested in the wiki, but it's a drag having to remind them of the good reasons to avoid numerous little edits. We need a standard thingie we can use over and over with little work. I plagiarized Wikipedia's article into [[Help:Show preview]], but I don't think that'll do much by itself.

==LG15 Music==
*I created a page called [[LG15 Soundtrack]] listing all the music appearing thus far in the LG15 videos. It includes links to the artists' pages and links to listen (and sometimes download for free!) the pieces themselves.
*The information it currently contains is up-to-date and accurate... only to the best of my knowledge. So please check out the page and add anything that's missing, or correct me if I slipped up!
*It needs to be updated. If this is something that interests you, update the soundtrack when a new video comes on. Even if you haven't worked with tables before, I think you'll find it's pretty intuitive. Just click the edit tab and it'll all make sense. If it doesn't, just ask =)

==Footnotes==
*Eliminate all instances of [http://en.wikipedia.org According to Wikipedia], "According to _________", etc. and replace with real references.
**By "real references" I mean little numbers (like so [1]) next to the claim you are making and a References section on the bottom of the article. It would just be less distracting, and it would make it easier for people to look up a reference too, rather than reading through the whole article again.
**I already did some research into this. Apparently our wiki has something called Cite.php which is simple code that you can use to make references like the ones I described. It automatically makes them into a list at the bottom of the article.
**To learn the basics of footnotes, see [[Help:Footnotes]].
**If you're ready for the advanced class, see [[LGPedia:Footnotes]].
**Cite.php was recently installed on the LGpedia. I plan to make full use of it. If you see any pages reeking with "According to _______", let me know and we shall fix it together.
**Where to download [http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Cite.php Cite.php]. Site has good info on how to use the code too, that's why I included it. You don't need to download it.

==My LGPedia Activities==
I'm keeping an eye on many of the character pages on this site. No doubt the pages that recieve the most attention are the Video Blog Summaries for the latest episodes. However, I've noticed that many of the character pages (especially the [[BDJ|Trio]]'s) were written with their most basic and oldest of information, not taking into account the most recent of events.

Of all the character pages, I would have to say that I've worked with [[Sarah]]'s, [[Alex]]'s, [[Bree]]'s, and [[Daniel]]'s the most. I've played with others, but these are the ones I think I've done something significant.

I've also helped out with the article, [[Then and Now: A Look Back at Lonelygirl15 Through Time]] for the one year anniversary of Bree's first Blog.

I've added songs to the [[LG15_Soundtrack|LG15 Soundtrack]]. Not a difficult task really, but hey, someone's has to do it . . . I guess.

In the fall of 2007, I took a hiatus from the LGPedia simply because I wasn't able to keep pace with the latest videos (what with tests, essays, and real life in general), so I didn't visit in an attempt to remain unspoiled. This past December, I finally managed to catch up (120 vids in roughly four and half hours, good Lord). Trust me, if you're a fan of this show, don't do the same thing, and ''beleive me'', I won't fall that far behind again!

Now into LG15's third year (already?!), I've been busy here and there continuing to work on several character pages ([[Jennie]] and [[Gina]] significantly), as well as many of the latest devices for the Order, including the [[Hart Study]], and the [[Lullaby Project]]. I'm also trying my best to be of some help in the [[LGPedia:Lucy's Balcony/Fanfic revamp|Mighty FanFic Revamp]].

Last, (and ''certainly'' not least) I'm also a proud member of the [[Sarah Fan Club]].

==My LG15 Hobbies==
When watching the LG15 series, one of my favorite things to do is try to come up with a decent title for the larger story arcs. Of course, this is an impossible task, as there are SO many arcs happening at any given moment in this series, that these titles can't fully give justice, but I do think they emphasize the mood and overall theme over the course of episodes that I've associated them to.
