Jonas is a [[Revver]]/[[YouTube]] user who has left video comments on [[Bree]]'s videos.

From the very beginning, a lot of users thought he was probably an official character because of the production value and style of editing similar to Bree's and Gemma's videos. Jonas is an orphan and lives alone in what was his parents' [[Jonas House|house]]. In a comment to a [[Date with P. Monkey]], Jonas disclosed that his parents were lost at sea 6 years ago. This kind of unlikely and dramatic detail also points to Jonas being canon (although something like that is not something that couldn't happen to a character outside of the [[Lonelygirl15]] story). He also says, after talking about his parents, that he can't believe he's telling this to a bunch of complete strangers and was probably put in just to justify the unlikelihood that someone would say something so personal on a video sharing site - and to Bree, who everyone knows is an actress. Probably the most damning evidence against Jonas' authenticity is that he doesn't acknowledge that Bree isn't real.

In Bree's [[Thanksgiving]] video she acknowledged Jonas: "Well, I feel silly. I thought about what you said, Jonas, and I realized I've been taking [[Daniel]] for granted. . . Thank you for reminding me what's important." This reference makes him almost certainly [[canon]] (this is confirmed in w/ the release of "Trust Issues"). This is similar to the way [[Gemma]] was brought into the story. On November 29, 2006, the Jonas Video "Trust Issues" was released as an official lg15 video, laying to rest any lingering doubts about his role in the [[Breeniverse]].

Jonas' profile says he both became a member and posted his first video "one week ago." That doesn't give him much time to surf around, get familiar with Bree and Daniel, and decide to blog, but maybe he was using YouTube before he actually became a member, and only became a member after deciding to do his own videos.

Leyna Noelani Raskoff was the casting agent for the Children of Anchor Cove. The project originally called for three actors:
*Girl #1, the lead character, ''"naturally beautiful and attractive, in an innocent and cute way. Great sense of humor with strong improv skills (think Natalie Portman, Leelee Sobiesky, Rachel Leigh Cook)."'' This part went to [[Jessica Lee Rose]] and became [[Bree]].

Several fans of lonelygirl15’s video posts began to wonder if Bree was, in fact, a real person or if the posts were part of a teaser campaign for a television show or an upcoming movie. Others felt that the blog might be part of an [[Alternate Reality Game|alternate reality game]].

It should be noted that Bree has claimed to edit those particular videos, but it is still unlikely a girl who just endured real fights with her only friend would upload those fights to YouTube.

* The only mention of specific YouTube users occurred in the first postings. Thereafter, the only responses to user comments were generic and vague, e.g.: "Some of you guys were asking about ..." This theory was shown to be incorrect, or at least incorrect in reference to the episode "Bree the Cookie Monster", which cites certain comments.

''New York Times'' reporter Virginia Heffernan expanded on the series of revelations on September 12th out with an article which confirmed Jessica Rose's identity, and revealed the identities of her "co-conspirators", [[Ramesh Flinders]], a screenwriter and filmmaker from Marin County, Calif., and [[Miles Beckett]], a doctor-turned-filmmaker. According to Heffernan, speculation that a professional studio was used for the filming is incorrect — Bree's bedroom scenes were in fact filmed in Mr. Flinders’ very own bedroom using nothing more than a [[Logitech QuickCam]], a Web camera that retails for about $150. Software engineer Grant Steinfeld was also involved in this project, as a photographer. Amanda Solomon Goodfried, an assistant at Creative Artists Agency, assisted in their efforts to hide their identities, and a lawyer — Ms. Goodfried's father-in-law, Kenneth Goodfried — handled various legal matters. The key technology behind Revver is the '''RevTag''', a tracking tag that is attached to videos that users upload. The RevTag automatically displays a static, clickable advert at the end of each video. When viewers click on it, the advertiser is charged and the advertising fee is split between the video creator and Revver.

RevTags are trackable across the web so users are encouraged users to share Revver videos as widely as possible. Since the RevTag is part of the video file itself (thanks to the interactivity made possible by Flash-based video players and by the QuickTime format), the technology works no matter where the video file is hosted or displayed, be it at Revver.com, at another website, or in a user's hard drive or portable video player. Therefore Revver's monetization of the video is not hampered by the downloading or sharing of the video file by users.

The only circumstance where the RevTag can fail to load an ad, or to register an ad click, is if the device playing the video is not connected to the internet, in which case a default "Brought to you by Revver" message is shown at the end. From the very beginning, a lot of users thought he was probaly an official character because of the production value and style of editing similar to Bree's and Gemma's videos. Jonas is an orphan and lives alone in what was his parents' [[Jonas House|house]]. In a comment to "A Date with P-Monkey, Jonas disclosed that his parents were lost at sea 6 years ago. This kind of unlikely and dramatic detail also points to Jonas being canon (although something like that is not something that couldn't happen to a character outside of the [[Lonelygirl15]] story). He also says, after talking about his parents, that he can't believe he's telling this to a bunch of complete strangers and was probably put in just to justify the unlikelihood that someone would say something so personal on a video sharing site - and to Bree, who everyone knows is an actress. Probably the most damning evidence against Jonas' authenticity is that he doesn't acknowledge that Bree isn't real.

In Bree's [[Thanksgiving]] video she acknowledged Jonas: "Well, I feel silly. I thought about what you said, Jonas, and I realized I've been taking [[Daniel]] for granted. . . Thank you for reminding me what's important." This reference makes him almost certainly [[canon]]. This is similar to the way [[Gemma]] was brought into the story. However, his comments are still listed in the "comments section" unlike Gemma who is now listed in the official video list.

I must have been eight when it... when it happened and she was like you... ah... chosen to do the [[ceremony]] at a young age. I remember the preparations. She too received [[Bandage#Observation/Speculation | injections]] and went on a strange diet. Her family left the [[commune]] after the ceremony. The weird things is, they left all their furniture in the house and like, pictures of their family on the wall. I suppose they were in a hurry. Even their dog Sascha was left behind. We got letters from them over the years, but their tone was very different. They were always so likeable, very friendly and warm; but their letters-- it's almost as though it was a different family altogether. I knew something wasn't quite right. I really didn't know what happened. It was - it was strange.
