'''Lord Michael Byron Carruthers''' is the [[Elder]] who received [[Bree]]'s blood during the [[Lonelygirl15 Season Finale 10 of 12 – 5 pm|Ceremony]], extending his life. After the [[Bloodlines: Part 3|death]] of [[Dr. William Porter]], Carruthers is now [[Bullet to the Head|believed]] to be the head of [[the Order]], using his power, among other things, to help secure [[Edward Salinas]]'s spot in Congress via funding through [[Sacred Spirit]].

Carruthers rose to his position as an Elder after his role in breaking up the original [[the Resistance|Resistance]]. He [[Blood Will Flow|existed]] as a mole within the group to break them up from the inside. He gathered supporters by promising the more corruptible members of the group eternal life. Once he gained enough support, he was able to drive the other members into hiding. Unfortunately for the members who sided with him, Carruthers killed the "puppets" once his job of breaking up the Resistance was complete.

He is first identified when Steve [[Called To Arms|recognizes]] [[Shop of Horrors!!!|his crest]] as belonging to a man he's seen hanging around the [[Hymn of One recruitment centers#The Hymn of_One London Centre|London branch]] of the [[Hymn of One]]. Steve informs [[Jonas]] of this, who [[Escape to London|journeys to London]] in search of more information. The two attempt to track down Carruthers at his office, only to be [[Hunting The Elder|thrown out]] of the building by his secretary, who claims that it is his day off.

In the video [[Prom: It's To Die For - Part 4]] Carruthers meets with [[Edward Salinas|Salinas]], [[Lucy]], and [[Carl]] back in [[General LA area|Los Angeles]]. During the meeting, it is implied that Lord Carruthers, not [[Michelle Clore]] as was originally assumed, was truly behind [[Outta Here|the hit]] put out on [[TAAG]]. Salinas attempts to offer him footage of [[Gina]]'s death so that he can ascend within the Order, but Lucy pulls him away after discovering that TAAG is eavesdropping on the conversation.

==Doll Obsession==
[[I Miss Her|Before]] her death, Bree received a [[Mary Annette|marionette doll]] from Carruthers as a replacement for [[Purple Monkey|P. Monkey]], (though it was rejected by Bree). Months later, Lucy was seen [[Shop of Horrors!!!|picking up]] a doll for him, which he allegedly planned to give to another trait positive girl. He is known to have a massive collection of, and an apparent obsession regarding, antique dolls. In fact, Steve [[Lord Carruthers (video)|discovered]] that Lord Carruthers was the only person in the last year to look at a doll in the Museum of Childhood that had once belonged to [[Aleister Crowley]].

Now what I ''can't'' figure out is how [[Gina]], Patient 11, fits into all of this. Why was she there on Friday, if all they wanted was Emma?

Dr. Hart, if you believe anything he said--''anything'' he told us--said that Gina was genetically engineered to be a [[trait positive]] girl, and that she, like all the other positive girls, didn't survive. However, she was apparently there voluntarily, because when she began to complain about her isolation, the doctor tried to persuade her to [[Who's that girl?|"stick it out"]] a little longer (until April 10th, 2001).

She appeared to be afflicted with an ailment that causes difficulty with breathing. She often had coughing fits, and [[Doctor Visit|once]] even stopped breathing altogether. To help with the situation, her doctor [[Who's that girl?|gave her]] a green pill, which helped slightly, although side effects did include diarrhea, chills and vomiting. In [[Shocking Discovery]], Gina seemed to have developed a rash on her upper back, similar to the one Emma got in [[Eat Pie]].

Gina enjoyed music, and was often heard to hum. She had a particular interest for the song "Piano Man" by Billy Joel, and became very excited when she heard she was going to be able to sneak out of the hospital and go to a Billy Joel and Elton John concert. While Dr. Hart was led to believe that Gina died at the age of 15, it was revealed in the episode [[KIDNAPPED!]] that Gina is very much alive, shown getting out of Lucy's car and running toward Dr. Hart.
