The ability to reproduce ribozymes at an accelerated rate may be the key to curing commonplace diseases, such as cancer or the common cold.

'''Leigh Taylor''' is a character in the [[LG15: The Last]] video series. Leigh is a [[trait positive]] girl from Bondi, whose adoptive parents have agreed to hand her over to [[Hymn of One]] for the honor of completing [[the Ceremony]], which was originally scheduled for April 24, 2009. Leigh was pampered growing up, and has a fascination with make-up and boys.

==Background==
During the months of March, [[Chasina|Chas]], among others, urged her to get into contact with her and that she was in danger. However, Leigh did not get in touch until weeks later, where she told [[Bray]] in an email that she had no interest in getting involved with their activities. Not taking no for an answer, the group drives across the country to her house, and [[Mitch]] is able to convince her into letting him inside. After talking, Leigh agrees to go with them, but only if Mitch is there to "take care of her".

However, Leigh becomes upset when she finds herself in a "shabby three story beach front property" that she refers to as poorly decorated. Her mood only worsens when she discovers that Mitch is dating Chas, revealing that the only reason she agreed to come was because she was interested in Mitch. She spends her time at the beach house complaining, and pushes the others too far after they discover that she is still using her cellphone. She believes they are overreacting, but changes her tune when Order operatives show up at the house. She reluctantly apologizes to the others, though Jayde is the only one who appears to have acknowledged her apology.

Leigh becomes distressed when the love triangle between Toni, Jayde, and Bray threatens to destroy all the relationships in the house. After Chas and Jayde post a video on [[YouTube]] bashing Toni, Leigh comforts Toni when the video makes her cry. Following this incident, Leigh's [[Twitter]] account was disabled, and her profile picture on LG15.com was replaced with a picture of [[Sibylla|Sibylla Weave]], a mysterious entity working on the side of the Order. Sibylla intercepted Leigh's webcam, and posted footage of Leigh giving herself her diabetes medicine, which she says she was diagnosed with a few weeks before she left home. She goes on and discloses on how she recently discovered that she was adopted, and that her "parents" were going to hand her over to the [[Hymn of One]] for the Ceremony.

The next day, while celebrating her birthday, Leigh apologizes to Chas for flirting with Mitch, and earns Chas's forgiveness, even though she is drunk. Soon after, a messenger leaves a CD for Leigh at the front door with the words "Happy Birthday Leigh", which contained a warning from [[Erica]] regarding Sybilla Weave. Leigh and the others are distressed by the tape, and go out for a while to blow off some steam. In LG15 chat, community members decipher a message left by Sibylla which reveals that the couple being tortured in the video are [[Leigh's parents|Leigh's biological parents]], who have begun to search for her. With no way of contacting her however, the community had to sit back and watch as Sibylla's messages made the group turn on one another. Leigh was scolded by Chas when she tried to spy on a private conversation between Jayde, Toni, and Bray. Upon returning home, Bray discovered a hidden camera, and the group tore up the house, destroying all of the cameras except for a couple in Leigh's bedroom. Leigh, exhausted, tries to go to sleep, only to be tackled by Chas. Startled, Leigh hits her and knocks her onto the floor, laughing when she realizes what has happened.

A few hours later, the group departs from the Island. In comments, Chas is informed of the situation regarding Leigh's parents, and she asks the community not to tell Leigh for the time being so that she can break the news to her when the time is right. Over the next few days, Leigh appears to enjoy herself, and becomes more invested with her relationships, though Toni complains that Leigh kicks in her sleep. Her uplifted spirit depletes when Chas finally tells her about her parents, sending her into a fit that results in her destroying her diabetes medication. After Chas calms her down, Jayde figures out that the medication is actually [[Epogen]] and that Leigh was being prepared for the ceremony. Leigh reveals that she heard her parents talking about it, and quietly stands by as the others plan an attack. However, nothing ever materializes. That night, Order Agents attack the camp and kidnap Leigh and Toni. '''Leigh Taylor''' is a character in the [[LG15: The Last]] video series. Leigh is a [[trait positive]] girl from Bondi, whose adoptive parents have agreed to hand her over to [[Hymn of One]] for the honor of completing [[the Ceremony]], which was originally scheduled for April 24, 2009. Leigh was pampered growing up, and has a fascination with make-up and boys.

==Background==
During the months of March, [[Chasina|Chas]], among others, urged her to get into contact with her and that she was in danger. However, Leigh did not get in touch until weeks later, where she told [[Bray]] in an email that she had no interest in getting involved with their activities. Not taking no for an answer, the group drives across the country to her house, and [[Mitch]] is able to convince her into letting him inside. After talking, Leigh agrees to go with them, but only if Mitch is there to "take care of her".

However, Leigh becomes upset when she finds herself in a "shabby three story beach front property" that she refers to as poorly decorated. Her mood only worsens when she discovers that Mitch is dating Chas, revealing that the only reason she agreed to come was because she was interested in Mitch. She spends her time at the beach house complaining, and pushes the others too far after they discover that she is still using her cellphone. She believes they are overreacting, but changes her tune when Order operatives show up at the house. She reluctantly apologizes to the others, though Jayde is the only one who appears to have acknowledged her apology.

Leigh becomes distressed when the love triangle between Toni, Jayde, and Bray threatens to destroy all the relationships in the house. After Chas and Jayde post a video on [[YouTube]] bashing Toni, Leigh comforts Toni when the video makes her cry. Following this incident, Leigh's [[Twitter]] account was disabled, and her profile picture on LG15.com was replaced with a picture of [[Sibylla|Sibylla Weave]], a mysterious entity working on the side of the Order. Sibylla intercepted Leigh's webcam, and posted footage of Leigh giving herself her diabetes medicine, which she says she was diagnosed with a few weeks before she left home. She goes on and discloses on how she recently discovered that she was adopted, and that her "parents" were going to hand her over to the [[Hymn of One]] for the Ceremony.

The next day, while celebrating her birthday, Leigh apologizes to Chas for flirting with Mitch, and earns Chas's forgiveness, even though she is drunk. Soon after, a messenger leaves a CD for Leigh at the front door with the words "Happy Birthday Leigh", which contained a warning from [[Erica]] regarding Sybilla Weave. Leigh and the others are distressed by the tape, and go out for a while to blow off some steam. In LG15 chat, community members decipher a message left by Sibylla which reveals that the couple being tortured in the video are [[Leigh's parents|Leigh's biological parents]], who have begun to search for her. With no way of contacting her however, the community had to sit back and watch as Sibylla's messages made the group turn on one another. Leigh was scolded by Chas when she tried to spy on a private conversation between Jayde, Toni, and Bray. Upon returning home, Bray discovered a hidden camera, and the group tore up the house, destroying all of the cameras except for a couple in Leigh's bedroom. Leigh, exhausted, tries to go to sleep, only to be tackled by Chas. Startled, Leigh hits her and knocks her onto the floor, laughing when she realizes what has happened.

A few hours later, the group departs from the Island. In comments, Chas is informed of the situation regarding Leigh's parents, and she asks the community not to tell Leigh for the time being so that she can break the news to her when the time is right. Over the next few days, Leigh appears to enjoy herself, and becomes more invested with her relationships, though Toni complains that Leigh kicks in her sleep. Her uplifted spirit depletes when Chas finally tells her about her parents, sending her into a fit that results in her destroying her diabetes medication. After Chas calms her down, Jayde figures out that the medication is actually [[Epogen]] and that Leigh was being prepared for the ceremony. Leigh reveals that she heard her parents talking about it, and quietly stands by as the others plan an attack. However, nothing ever materializes. That night, Order Agents attack the camp and kidnap Leigh and Toni. At a young age, [[Mr. Cooper|her father]] departed from her life, leaving Jayde in the care of [[Mrs. Cooper|her mother]]. She and her mother formed a strong bond, and it ultimately proved stronger than the Order's influence over Mrs. Cooper. Jayde's mother told her that she was trait positive, and revealed the Order's existence to her as well as their true intentions. Jayde left her life behind, on her mother's advice, and went into hinding using the alias '''Ashley Smith'''.

A few months after her disappearance, the Order devised a way to lure her out of hiding by [[LG15: The Last - Pilot|sending her a letter]] informing her of her mother's deteriorating health. Later, the Order recorded a [[Paranoid Past|phone conversation]] between her and [[Mrs. Cooper|her mom]], where she is informed that [[Chloe|Chloe Murray]] is dead, leaving only four trait positive girls in Australia.

After [[Antonia|Toni]] is unable to locate her at her old apartment, she discovers the appointment Jayde had with the Adventist hospital, allowing [[Chasina|Chas]] and [[Mitch]] to locate her. When they arrive at the clinic, Jayde is startled, and they are attacked by a [[Shadow]]. They are able to safely get away, and spend the weekend at Mitch's grandparents' house. Jayde is reluctant to talk with the others, but does comfort Chas after she starts crying. The following week, Jayde [[This Is What I Know|makes a video]] revealing her past and how much she knows, including the disclosure that she has been active on [[LG15.com]] for weeks using her alias.

Later in the week, Jayde watches as everyone else in the house begins to get use to each other's presence. After Antonia destroys Bray's cellphone for fear of being tracked, Jayde decides to destroy hers as well and tosses it in the sink. During dinner, Jayde decides to get everyone talking about themselves, only for Chas to bring up the strange circumstances of her hospital visit. Jayde reminds Chas that the man who attacked them was called a Shadow, and leaves the table. Feeling guilty, Chas distracts the others by drawing attention to Bray's injury. Jayde thanked Chas for her actions, and tells her that [[Jonas]] has been captured by the Order. Jayde promises to be more honest about everything she knows about the Order from then on out.

After receiving a rejection from Leigh, tensions run high in the group, and Jayde works throughout the resulting road trip to keep everyone's head clear, and points out that Leigh is young and scared, and that they shouldn't force her into anything. To everyone's surprise, Mitch is able to convince Leigh to join them, but the addition causes the group to become tense and short with one another. With the others distracted by Leigh's antics, Bray attempts to pump Jayde for information by trying to form a pact with her, but she misreads his questioning as a means of hitting on her. Jayde fails to understand why everyone is in such a bad mood, and attempts to remedy her apparent isolation by amusing herself with making videos. The resulting work, "[[Mornings with Jayde]]", ends up making her feeling for Bray abundantly clear, and temporarily makes everyone, with the exception of Bray, angry at her. Jayde becomes upset at them as well after she walks in on Bray kissing Toni, and refuses to hear either of them out. However, things smooth over somewhat when Leigh is discovered to have been using her cellphone while staying with them.

Jayde warns the others to not underestimate the power of the Order, and knows right away that the "police" that show up on their doorstep are actually Order agents. The group flees from the house, and Jayde directs the others to one of her more secure former hideouts. As everyone settles in, Jayde confides in Chas about Bray and Toni's kiss. Chas becomes furious, and the two girls post a video littered with mean-spirited comments about Toni. In the end, Chas convinces Jayde to ask for the community's imput on her relationship issues, and Jayde makes a plea for advice on what to do. However, she is taken aback by the overwhelmingly negative response to her behavior in the video, and decides not to talk to anyone. Also in this video, Chas and Jayde talk about the documents and it is clear the two girls are hiding something about the documents from the rest of the group. This is later revealed to be blueprints of a place they don't know.

Following this, Jayde's [[Facebook]] and [[Twitter]] accounts were disabled, and her profile picture on LG15.com was replaced with a picture of [[Sibylla|Sibylla Weave]], a mysterious entity working on the side of the Order. Sibylla posts future videos if they group and Jayde is clearly still angry with Toni for "stealing" Bray. She corners her during Leigh's birthday celebration and tells Toni that Bray is just toying with her, that it is obvious that she is the real object of Bray's affections, and tells her to back off. Many suspect that Jayde is secretly [[Sibylla Weave]] due to similarities in their eyes, including Mitch, who sees her go off by herself right before the CD for Leigh is dropped off at the house. He accuses her of being the traitor and Jayde adamantly defends herself. Once the group leaves the house, Jayde expresses that she thinks Mitch is the traitor.

Upon arriving home, Bray discovers a hidden camera, and Jayde joins the others in gutting the house and immediately leaving, fearing what the Order has discovered. Jayde was reportedly furious when she discovered that the community had seen private conversations, including her episode with Toni, which had lost her a great deal of standing. Jayde doesn't let up on her flirtation with Bray, however, forcing Bray to confront her and tell her that he doesn't feel that way about her. Crushed, Jayde avoids Toni and Bray during the next couple of days, but after having a brief argument with Toni, seems to come to terms with the situation. After the group is informed by Chas that the couple on the tape are Leigh's biological parents, Jayde immediately begins to question decisons made by the Taylors, and discovers that Leigh's diabetes medication were actually shots of [[Epogen]]. Later that night, the group relaxes outside by the campfire and goes to bed.

Jayde is awoken by members of the Order lurking outside the tent and goes outside to look, believing that Chas is outside the tent. She is hit by one of the agents and is knocked unconscious. Waking up hours later under her collapsed tent, she believes the Order have taken here. However, Chas helps her up and she argues with Bray about going to save Leigh and Toni. She walks away from the remaining group and is not heard from again until she meets her mother in a local park.

She tells her mother that she has a plan to get the Order out of both of their lives and leaves in a hurry, telling her mother that she'll see her again soon. Jayde then confronts the [[elder]] and tells her that, not only is [[Chloe Murray]] alive, she knows where she is hiding. However, she only agrees to disclose her location if the elder agrees to call the order off of her and her mother's trail.

There have also been suggestions by the [[rogue Elder]], [[Claire]], and [[Dr. William Griffin]] that trait positive girls [[Help Us!|have special powers]]. [[Join Me!|According to Claire]], if a trait positive girl learns to harness these powers, she will possess the ability to take down [[the Order]] once and for all. [[Dr. William Griffin]]'s claim was less specific, but he too suggested that "''trait positive girls possess powerful abilities.''" He said that his experiments "''with the trait positive girls showed that they had something more than the longevity that we believe provides the power for the Order.''" He did not have a chance to elaborate beyond this point.

However, the legitimacy of all of these claims were called into doubt in [[My Fatal Mistake]], when a [[Watcher]] told a heartbroken [[Jonas]] that any sort of "powers" that trait positive girls had were a sham. Even so, no other explanation has been given for what could have happened instead.

Apparently, there are thousands of them, but once they hit puberty only a fraction of a percentile develop the characteristics needed for the ceremony''" ([[Hiding In The Bathroom]] (January 13th, 2007)). These "characteristics" were later identified as "trait positive." Once the girls have been selected for the Ceremony, they must go on a [[Bree's diet|special diet]] and receive [[Bree's injections|injections]]. To our knowledge, the Ceremony ultimately represents an [[Lonelygirl15 Season Finale 10 of 12 – 5 pm|early end]] to [[Enter The Order|these girls' lives]].

Many people, such as [[Watcher]]s and [[Spreading the Song|various other members]] of the [[Hymn of One]], believe that it is their duty to protect these girls from the time they are born until the time they complete the Ceremony, and as such, the girls are very closely monitored for most of their lives.

[[Dr. Calvin Hart]] was part of a [[Hart Study|study]] that was devoted to trying to recreate the high-ribozyme blood in at least twenty girls. In the video [[Evil Drug Company Exposed!]], [[Dr. Hart]] revealed that his test subjects were genetically altered in their mother's womb. Unfortunately, none of the test subjects Dr. Hart was working with survived past the age of five. Only the control, [[Gina]], survived (she was naturally born trait positive).

In an attempt to make Bree trait negative, TAAG, after deciphering [[Isaac Gilman]]'s letter, embarked on a [[Mission Possible|mission]] to retrieve a trait positive blood sample and create a serum using that blood. The exact makings of the serum are not clear; the only clue we have is [[The Serum|"zinc oxide"]]. From what Emma says in [[Decision Time]] and [[I Like Being Me]], we know that this serum can be taken in more than one shot. In contrast, [[Michelle Clore]] confirms that after injecting [[Kate]] only once with the serum, Kate had not become fully trait negative.
Additionally, it has since been discovered that, if the serum makes its way into an elder's blood stream, they will die, as in the case of Bill Porter.
