There are many strong female characters in the lonelygirl15 series. Due to the interpretive nature of feminism, there may be disagreement about whether or not a video communicates feminist values. Also, there might be disagreement about how the videos communicate those values.

Even though not much is known about '''LaRezisto''', we know that he was a rogue [[Elder]] of [[the Order]]. Viewers were led to believe from his [[We Reach Out|first video]] that he was a leader of [[the Resistance]]. It appears though the video was a recruitment video for others to fight the Order. Fans speculated that LaRezisto would play the role of a new [[Tachyon]] figure, but that theory has been disproved.

After [[Bree]]'s death, LaRezisto seemed to appear out of nowhere. He first revealed to Jonas that [[Jonas's parents|his parents]] were alive, and that Emma was trait positive. LaRezisto tried to convince the [[BDJ|TAAG]] that Emma being trait positive was a good thing. They told Jonas that she had powers to fight the Order, and since he believed LaRezisto was a figure of the Resistance, he believed it. In [[Join Me!]], [[Claire]] appeared.

Claire offered to train Emma how to harness her "powers" and claimed to be trait positive. However, after letting Emma and Claire go off deeper into the forest, Jonas was approached by [[Virgil]]. Virgil revealed that Claire was LaRezisto's [[Shadow]].

Since only Elders have Shadows, it appears that LaRezisto was working for the Order. In [[My Fatal Mistake]], Virgil explained that LaRezisto was a rogue Elder. He was the one who kidnapped Bree, [[Daniel]], and Jonas in [[Las Vegas|Vegas]]. LaRezisto's goal was to use Emma for [[the Ceremony (ritual)|the Ceremony]], to allow him to live longer.

He first appeared in [[What Happened?]], where he revealed that his organs were about 90 years old, despite his appearance of a 40 year old man. He has no concern for the principles of the [[Hymn of One]]. Claire, however, does. In the same video, Claire shoots LaRezisto, seconds before she is shot by Virgil.

* Initially, fans incorrectly identified ''La Rezisto'' as the Spanish translation of ''The Resistance''. However, "resisto" is actually a verb meaning "I resist" and "la" is the feminine definite article, thus LaRezisto makes no sense as it would be literally translated "the I resist." In correct Spanish the name would be "La Resistencia".
