Jonas Sucks is the one hundred thirty-seventh video in the lonelygirl15 video series. Daniel is not happy with his friends' behavior.

Transcript
Daniel is sitting on the stairs

Daniel: So, I was kind of pissed the other morning when Jonas came back. He hadn't even bothered to wake me up. I mean, you'd think they'd want me around to help check out the area. Then when I saw the last video post, it... I.... I mean, I didn't know what to think. Could it be any more obvious that he's into her? I mean, even after all the advice he gave me: "You gotta tell her how you feel man. Don't beat around the bush bro. Peace." Dick. Not to mention the fact that he's still using his cell phone, and I know that's how OpAphid tracked us down last time. Jonas says it doesn't matter because it's prepaid and so they can't track us. Which is crap. He's just so damn stubborn sometimes. Whatever, Bree can have her fun. I've got more important things to do.

Daniel is standing against the window, which looks out into the woods.

Daniel: So, I decided to get some alone time and I went out to the car. Just kind of get away from the whole situation. I was looking for some CDs and I came across... Daniel holds up a package wrapped in brown paper and tied with twine. On top of the package is a note card with writing on it. I know it's from Tachyon 'cause she left a card:

(reading from the card)
Where it all started
The answer is before you
A subtle clue I Drew

It's a haiku. I haven't told Jonas or Bree I found it yet. I haven't been able to figure out the password to the file that Tachyon gave us, but hopefully this is a clue. I'm going to open the package. Daniel sits on the floor and unwraps the package revealing five books.

All that was in the package was a bunch of Nancy Drew books. So I'm going back to the haiku. Where it all started. As in where our videos all started or our hometown? Nancy Drew's hometown? Clearly she wants us to have this information, so why is she making me jump through hoops to get it? I think the clue might be in the Nancy Drew books themselves. It looks like I'm going to have to start reading. I'll tell you what I find. Bye.

Notes
* Tachyon's note reads:
xxxxxxxxxxx
Where it all started
the answer is before you
a subtle clue I Drew
yours,
T
yyy
* A haiku is a non-rhyming poem with three lines in a 5-7-5 syllable format for a total of seventeen syllables. Tachyon's verse has eighteen syllables, and thus is not technically a haiku, which some fans have speculated to be important.

* There appears to be 11 X's and 3 Y's (not including the Y's within the "haiku"). This may be EXTREMELY important.

* This video shows us that Tachyon knows where the group is, as it is suggested that the parcel and note were hidden in the car recently. It is unclear if Bree, Daniel or Jonas gave her the location, or if she has some other means of tracking them at this point.

*Nikki Bower is a self-proclaimed Nancy Drew fan, but it's unclear what connection, if any, is presented by the books Tachyon left.

*The fact that Jonas keeps using his cell phone keeps coming up, so it must be important. It's such a stupid thing to do that it makes it seem like perhaps Jonas is not a "good guy".

The Human Ransom is the one hundred thirtieth video in the lonelygirl15 video series.

Transcript
(The video starts with scenes of a highway, scenery, and driving in a car. A sign says "La Brea Ave, Hollywood" Cut to driving through the city. Cut to a tall glass building, the camera zooms in on the top floors.)

(We see Bree inside the building, as Jonas films.)

Jonas: (offscreen) Sure you're ready for this?

Bree: Daniel saved my life. It's the least I can do. Take care of him, okay?

(Elevator opens and reveals Daniel blindfolded with hands tied, accompanied by Lucy and three other men in sunglasses.)

(Cut to Daniel (still blindfolded) and Bree hugging.)

Jonas: Bree, I… think they’re getting impatient.

(Lucy moves to cover the camera with her hand)

(Bree is still hugging Daniel)

(Cut to Bree in the elevator looking out with Lucy and the three men looking down. Door closes. Goes to black.)

Bree: Wait!! Stop!!

(Reversed footage of what we just saw plays back. Tachyon music kicks in as a Malaysia airplane lands at LAX and "Tachyon" flashes across the screen.)

(More footage of driving, presumably from Brother's point of view.)

(Shot has a black/blue and white tint to it: Bree in elevator looking directly at (presumably hidden) surveillance camera.)

(The video returns to normal color. We see oil fields and more driving.)

(Shots now have a black/blue and white tint to them and are replaying what we just saw through Tachyon's perspective through cameras stationed in the hall, similar to her previous video and Brother's video)

Text: ATR – CAM 1
(Bree with Jonas as he is filming.)
(Doors opening with Daniel)

Text: ATR – CAM 3
(Same as last shot but at different angle and with Lucy in the frame.)

Text: ATR – CAM 4
(Front view of Daniel and Lucy, who is behind Daniels right shoulder, leans forward towards Daniel and appears to be whispering something to him)

Text: ATR – CAM 5
(View from the side of Bree hugging Daniel and whispering something. Cut to facing Bree; we can clearly see she is saying something to him.)

(Cut to a far away shot of them hugging and Lucy crosses in front of them to block the camera Jonas is holding.)

Text: ATR – CAM 1
(Bree looking out of elevator towards Jonas and Daniel.)

(Cut to shot of a close up of the camera Jonas is holding and we can see Bree through the display screen.)

(Cuts to door closing as Bree makes a sudden move forward. (thought to match up to when she says "Wait!! Stop!!"))

Text: ATR – CAM 1
(Door closes. Jonas and Daniel are visible but Daniel now has his hands untied and the blindfold off.)

Text: ATR – GROUND 1
(Lower half of elevator door is seen closing as a flashbang is rolled in from the left toward the gap. The video freezes, and the word "flash" appears in the upper right corner, then fades.)

Text: ATR – GROUND 2
(The grenade banks neatly into the narrowing gap of the elevator door. The video freezes again, the word "bang" appears in the lower left corner, then fades. Cut to black)

Text: for a girl who scored 112 the last time she went bowling, that's an impressive shot!
Text: ELEVATOR NO. 2
(Inside the elevator, there is a white flash from the grenade. Cut to black.)

Bree: (offscreen) (almost inaudible) Daniel? (normal, concerned) Daniel? (shouting) RUN!!

(Goes back to normal color)

(We see a shot of a stair well. Bree is holding Daniel's elbow as they run up the stairs. Jonas follows them with the camera.)

Jonas: Bree!?!

Bree: Go up the stairs

Jonas: Are you sure we can trust this guy? He’s not like really, Brother is he?

(The group reaches the top flight where a ladder leads to the roof.)

Daniel: What are we doing?

Bree: If she says we can trust him, we can trust him. I'll explain it to you later.

(Bree starts climbing the ladder, Daniel looks down at his right hand. He may have something in his palm)

Jonas: Go! Go! Go! Go!

(He pans down the stairs where Lucy can be seen chasing after them.)

Bree: Jonas, put down the camera. Come on, help him!

(A helicopter can now be heard)

(Bree continues climb as Jonas pans back.)

Jonas: Seriously, go!

Notes
* Co-creators Mesh Flinders and Miles Beckett have cameo appearances as Watchers. The third watcher may be Greg Goodfried wearing a fake beard but there are doubts.
* This is the first Crossover involving Tachyon directly in the series, although Daniel mentioned her in the video Homeless as the one who alerted him to the Order's tracking device in his car.
* Although the camera zoom up at the building implies that they are on a top floor, the number "2" (indicating "second floor" can be seen on a plate in the elevator doorway.
* The Malaysian plane seen is thought to be the one with Tachyon on it from Fiji.
* Helicopters have been seen in other videos but always thought to be connected with the Order not Tachyon. However, it now appears that all the helicopter sightings in videos were Tachyon.
* The reference to bowling a 112 comes from one of Tachyon’s drop videos, Knock 'Em Down, in which Tachyon scores 112 at the "Sea bowl" bowling alley in Pacifica, CA.
*When Bree says "If she says we can trust him, we can trust him." It could be that "She" refers to Tachyon, and that "Him" is Brother.
*This is the first video in which Daniel and Jonas are in direct contact on camera with members of The Order.
*As Bree climbs up the ladder at the end, you can hear a loud whooshing noise, possibly a helicopter.
*Though Lucy is probably chasing them up the stairs, she does not look very agressive, so there is a slight chance she is running with them up the stairs.

Storm The Castle is the one hundred twenty-ninth video in the lonelygirl15 video series. Jonas doesn't want to give in without a fight.

Jonas: Ok, so am I the only one who thinks that Bree has like lost her mind? I've seen these, uh, OpAphid videos and it's the Order, right? I mean isn't — why would she just give into them — I mean, aren't these the people that she's been running from? And then they take her best friend — they take Daniel, and... she's not even putting up a fight. Why aren't we storming the castle, you know what I mean? Or shouldn't we just — I don't know — try to find somebody from law enforcement to help us — someone who's not in the Order's back pocket, they can't have everybody. But every time I talk to Bree about it — I mean, she just — she just doesn't want to hear it. She doesn't want any help from the outside at all. And I appreciate her concern about how she feels bad about pulling me and Daniel in furthur, but you know what? We're in now, you know? We are in this and there's no going back. And you've got me and you've got Daniel. And you know what — you've got everyone out there who cares about you. I know that we can get Daniel back without you having to give yourself up. I don't know how... I don't know how, but there's got to be a way. You know, she was telling me the other day about the injections her father used to give her, epogen. You know, that stuff, it increases the production of protein in the bloodstream. Maybe she isn't right in her mind because of all that medication. I don't know. I tried to talk some sense into her, but she wasn't happy, so you know what? I'm going with her. I'm gonna see what happens. I miss Daniel. He's a good guy, he's a good guy to have around. You know, for some misguided reason we both think that we can "save Bree", which is why we're in the position we're in now. Maybe I'm the crazy one, you know, cause I kinda volunteered for all this. But Daniel didn't you know... he's just trying to help somebody he cares about.
The Creators of lonelygirl15 appreciate all the effort put forth by the fans to make the LGPedia the trove of LG15 information that it has become. They now charge the LGPedia community with a new mission: to create a Story So Far... section. In a nutshell, they would like a concise yet comprehensive introduction to LG15 for newbies linked to from the main page. The articles Breeniverse Timeline and Down The Rabbit Hole: The Hunt For Bree can be a starting-off point for this new viewer summary.
----

Who is lonelygirl15?
On May 24, 2006 the world was touched by a sweet young girl experiencing the troubles of everyday life, but it turned out to be something more than that. The truth about lonelygirl15's life was told, and the world was captivated . . .

Lonelygirl15, a.k.a. Bree, is an intelligent, yet awkward and geeky teenager. Raised in a strict, isolated household, she lacks many of the social skills possessed by her peers. She does not go out with friends much, and spends much of her time reading or playing juvenile games, such as interacting with her three stuffed animals, Thor the bear, Owen the Turtle, and P. Monkey. Bree is home schooled, and she and her parents have moved around a lot, which has limited her social experiences and has left her without any true friends. For a short while she attended high school, but the social pressures, teasing and her lack of experience proved too overwhelming for her to bear. However, she did leave her short stint in public high school with one friend, Daniel.

Her Beginning
In June of 2006, Bree bought a webcam and began posting on YouTube. At first, she posted simple, silly clips of her and her stuffed animals, which she explains were edited by a friend. Later on, however, she opened up to the audience and began sharing more and more about herself, her life, religion and troubles. Bree explains that her religion often prevents her from doing normal, teenage activities. Along the way, she introduces Daniel (as DanielBeast), her best and only real friend. Although he just sits on the bed and reads magazines most of the time, he occasionally participates in her clips, such as their spoof of each other, "Proving Science Wrong... with Lonelybeast and Danielgirl15".

Daniel and Bree spend more and more time together, going on hikes, swimming or just sitting in her bedroom. Bree's father asks Daniel to film Bree's play for her annual religious summer camp. Daniel refuses, and Bree's father reacts negatively, straining her friendship with Daniel. Afterwards, tears are shed and angry words are exchanged between the friends. Daniel posts a video explaining how he intends to attend her play, though not to film it, much to the surprise and happiness of Bree. Having gotten over the first hurdle in their public relationship, Bree excitedly shares that she has been chosen to participate in a sacred ceremony for her religion. Bree does not share many details about this religion except to say that she is truly committed to her faith.

Her Rebellion
Daniel invites Bree to a party, something she has never experienced, and with people she only met during her short time in public education (and who also teased her for her intellectual curiosity in science class). Her parents forbid her to go, but Bree decides to sneak out anyway. Much to her dismay, her father is waiting for her when she gets home. She is promptly placed under "house arrest," and her father forbids her to see Daniel anymore. After this first rebellious act against her parents, it seems as if Bree has become addicted to sneaking out, or perhaps she just relishes her newfound freedom. Daniel invites her on various "dates" and Bree is confused about teen love. She's never had a boyfriend before, and obviously never experienced a kiss, so Daniel's desire to be something more than friends befuddles her, especially when he kisses her at another party.

Her Religion
In the video A Change In My Life, Bree sheds some light on the ceremony for which she has been chosen to participate. For the ceremony, she has to learn a new language, go on a special diet, learn special steps, take iron supplements and receive weekly injections.

Although Bree promises to have a dinner with Daniel, she realizes that she has to attend an annual Fall Equinox ceremony for her religion. Again, her mysterious religion tears Daniel and Bree apart. She decides that her religion is more important to her than her only friend. She gains a "helper" whose role is to assist her in preparing for the upcoming ceremony. She is already studying hard, dieting, taking pills and receiving mysterious shots. Nevertheless, she enjoys this new female friend. Daniel, still angry, follows Bree and her helper, Lucy, in order to figure out the woman's purpose and motives. Bree sees the videoblog of Daniel following her and is upset. She tells Daniel via videoblog to leave her alone and stop following her. She also warns him about the power of those in her religious order. Daniel ignores her and begins to become alarmed by the extent to which her religion affects events in Bree's life.

Her Ceremony
Daniel finds inconclusive, yet disturbing stories about a man associated with Bree's religion, Aleister Crowley. He follows Bree and her helper yet again and in a secluded, wooded area stumbles upon the ceremony. As Daniel films part of the secret ritual, he notices that he is being watched. Fleeing through the darkness, he escapes into his car before being caught. After that, he follows Bree's helper Lucy to her apartment and waits until she leaves, breaking in and finding pictures on Lucy's computer of himself videotaping the ceremony, along with maps of locations in Texas, Arizona, California, Alaska and Alberta, Canada. Shaken and paranoid, Daniel is convinced that Bree's "cult," as he calls it, is following him as he followed them. Bree hears of this and becomes extremely worried about Daniel's safety. So he goes "underground," staying at a friend's home to hide from the cult. Daniel calls Bree, finding out that under the instruction of Lucy and other cult members Bree has lied to him about the ceremony, which was faked. As it turns out, Bree knows very little about purpose and date of the actual ceremony. Furthermore, Bree's father seems to have little information about the injections he was giving to her. Bree realizes that Lucy will not answer any of Bree's questions. With Daniel's encouragement, Bree decides not to participate in the ceremony, and her parents surprisingly support her decision. Meanwhile, Bree is contacted by Gemma, an old friend, who warns her of the power and influence of the "Order". This prompts Bree to reunite with Daniel at his house.

Her Getaway
While at Daniel's house, Bree's parents contact her to tell her that she should sleep at Daniel's for the night, an extreme contrast to the conservative parents Bree has known. A few days later, Bree and Daniel, both worried, decide to return to her home after receiving no responses to their numerous phone calls. Upon arriving at the house, and from within the safety of Daniel's car they witness her parents leaving with Lucy and a man from the ceremony. Once the car drives off, the two enter Bree's house to examine the scene. Hidden inside the P. Monkey puppet, Bree finds a note and some money left by her parents. The note advises her to stay with Daniel. Daniel and Bree worry about whether or not Daniel's house is a safe location. They make the decision to run away. They sleep in the car for a few days before settling in to a motel. Bree seems to be her usual silly self, but Gemma warns her that she is being followed by a "Watcher", a member of the Order who is stalking them. They both flee again, finding another motel. Daniel is upset with Bree for not taking the situation seriously.

Her New Friend
Bree is left a video comment by Jonas, who wishes Lonelygirl and Danielbeast a Happy Thanksgiving. He does not give out much background information about himself, and says only that his parents mysteriously disappeared while sailing six years ago, and expresses his sympathy for Bree, a fellow "orphan". Meanwhile, Daniel and Bree return to their motel room to find it ransacked. With all of their money stolen, and now having only the small amount left that Daniel is carrying, and they flee once again. Daniel becomes increasingly aggravated and wants to go back home, but Bree is not convinced that they are safe. Bree receives a vblog from Gemma who fears she too is being followed by a Watcher. Scared to go home, Gemma hides out at a friend's home, noticeably distressed, much like Daniel when he realized he was being followed. The situation for Bree and Daniel grows increasingly worse when Daniel is informed by someone named Tachyon that his car is bugged with a tracking device. Deciding that the safest choice is to abandon the car, the now-homeless couple has to resort to dumpster diving for food and a dirty abandoned warehouse for shelter. In November 28th online chat session, it is suggested that Bree and Daniel accept the help of Jonas, who is apparently rich, unemployed and lives alone in a large house. However, Daniel and Gemma are not convinced. Bree chooses to stay with Jonas, but Daniel decides to return home.

Her Betrayal
Jonas posts a video claiming that Gemma was lying about being in London; apparently she is in California and still active in the Order. This, along with Daniel's abandonment of her, drives Bree to sulk for several days. Meanwhile, Daniel decides to go back to Bree's house and investigate, finding evidence that leads him to break into a pharmaceutical warehouse. Bree decides to take action herself and begins by calling her friends and family to see if anyone has had contact with her parents. She initially seems to find no helpful information, but in a call to an uncle, receives a coded message from her father, indicating that they are OK and requesting that she meet them. She reminisces about her old friend Cassie with whom Bree made some prank phone calls during their brief friendship. By the time she finishes making her calls; Bree concludes that the "Gemma Incident" is good reason to avoid contact with those in "The Community."

Her Reunion
On Christmas Day, much to Bree's surprise and elation, Daniel arrives at Jonas's house. However, on the following day, Jonas and Daniel wake to find that Bree is gone without a note or obvious explanation. According to Jonas, Bree has taken his car, one of his credit cards, and some of his cash. Daniel decides to examine Bree's recent videos more closely to find an explanation of her disappearance. Jonas and Daniel try to track down Bree. Eventually, they find her meeting with her father shortly before a run-in with the Order resulting in the shooting of Bree's dad. After Bree spends several days depressed, Daniel posts a video annoucing that he "hooked up" with Bree. Jonas is kicked out of his own house when Daniel makes a special candle light dinner for Bree, but it apparently doesn't go well. Then Bree posts a video saying Daniel has lied, and she just kissed him in a act of impulse and there is nothing more to it. Daniel goes out of the house the next day and gets drunk.

Her Privacy
Jonas picks up Daniel, who is too drunk to drive himself home. Daniel is accompanied by a nameless young woman, who hangs out with Bree and Jonas while Daniel sleeps off the liquor. The young woman tells Jonas and Bree about Daniel’s drunken ramblings, including his talk of a girl who broke his heart and some mysterious watchers. Since Bree is frustrated by the antics of Jonas and Daniel, she decides to think about career plans and her need for privacy. Meanwhile, Daniel states that he will no longer pursue Bree, choosing to spend his time playing foosball with Jonas and giving Bree space. Daniel decides that he wants to go back to the bowling alley to look for the unnamed young woman. Daniel leaves for the night but never returns.

Her Hunt for Daniel
Bree posts a video sharing her concern for Daniel because no one has heard from him. Bree confesses that she still wants him in her life, but she does not want a romantic relationship. Jonas and Bree go to the bowling alley to look for him. Bree receives a cryptic text message from Daniel, but it does not state his location. Jonas tells her that a bartender saw Daniel leave with a local man. Bree and Jonas hit the freeway and head for the man's house in the mountains to find Daniel. It gets late and they still haven't found the "local" man's house, so they stop off at a motel, where they are forced to share a bed. Jonas claims bree is a blanket hog and sleeps in the bathtub. They are going to resume looking for daniel in the morning, and possibly file a missing persons report.

63.249.68.226: /* Probable Characters */

According to Wikipedia, "In the context of fiction, the canon of a fictional universe comprises those novels, stories, films, etc. that are considered to be genuine, and those events, characters, settings, etc. that are considered to have inarguable existence within the fictional universe. In order for the fictional universe to appear cohesive, especially in fictions that contain multiple parts, both creators and audiences sometimes find it useful to define what has and has not "actually happened" in that universe. Usually items that are considered canon come from the original source of the fictional universe while non-canon material comes from adaptations, spin-offs or unofficial items, often in different media."

The term has been very popular with LG users speculating on whether or not charcters on YouTube are an official part of the LG universe or not.

The following list is highly speculative and the relative probabilities will probably change over time. This list just represents an "educated guess' by the user community based on the current available information. To provide a standard "litmus test" a character will not be declared official until they are included on the video list of lonelygirl.com. At that time they will be removed from this speculative list.

Lonelygirl15
Confirmed Characters
*Bree
*Daniel
*Gemma
When the first Gemma video appeared, it was unknown whether or not the character was an official part of the Breeniverse or just a fan video. The editing style in Gemma's videos is similar to the editing in the lonelygirl15 videos. The actress that plays Gemma was quickly identified through MySpace.com as an aspiring actress named Jackie, a pal of Jessica Lee Rose in real life. This connection convinced many that Gemma was canon.

This was confirmed when Bree responded with Hi Gemma! and later when a Gemma video It's Not Your Decision was uploaded to the official lonelygirl15 account on Revver.

*Jonas
Before officially acknowledged, many users thought Jonas was an official character because of his videos' high production value and editing style. This kind of unlikely and dramatic detail also pointed to Jonas being canon (although something like that is not something that couldn't happen to a character outside of the Lonelygirl15 story).

In Bree's Thanksgiving video she acknowledged Jonas: "Well, I feel silly. I thought about what you said, Jonas, and I realized I've been taking Daniel for granted. . . Thank you for reminding me what's important." This reference convinced many that he was canon, and this was confirmed with the release of Trust Issues on November 29, 2006 as an official lg15 video. This is similar to the way Gemma was brought into the story.

Probable Characters
*Nikki Bower

Fans speculate that Nikki Bower may be canonical as she has discovered many filming locations with seeming effortlessness. Moreover, she uncovered the tell-tale watcher symbol, which was later incorporated into the series in Gemma's Someone's Following You.

Speculation based on analysis of the Member Directory, however, suggests that Nikki Bower is not officially connected with the production team.

The video "Mystery Movies" suggests, however, that Nikki is or is becoming canon.

Improbable Characters
*Dr. Immant

Dr. Immant has established links with Orange Slurpee, from his video Order Announcement: New Policy to Combat Misinformation, but has not yet established any official connections with any of the LG15 characters. Analysis of the Member directory seems to suggest that Immant is not canon.

Highly Improbable Characters
*Orange Slurpee

The clock in Jonas's house was set to approximately 7:11 in the video Trust Issues!

Fans speculate that the repeated orange imagery in Breakfast In Bed was ominous foreshadowing of the impending threat of the Watcher.
----

OpAphid - ARG affiliate of Lonelygirl15
Confirmed Characters
*OpAphid
OpAphid has been confirmed by the Creators as the official ARG.

The Creators explained that OpAphid is official, but they do not produce it:

Dear Fans,

We want to clarify the connection between OpAphid and lonelygirl15.
Simply put, OpAphid is supplemental material that adds to the lonelygirl15 experience….

This was a 100% fan created ARG. We liked it so much that we decided to contact the creator
and make it the official LG15 ARG.

*Tachyon

Daniel refers to Tachyon in Homeless.

Disconfirmed Characters
*Cassie

Cassie's relationship with LG15 is especially ambiguous. Bree mentions Cassie in Swimming! and OpAphid, the official ARG of LG15, has interacted with Cassie. But The Creators have also officially disavowed the cassieiswatching ARG because they disliked how "dark" it became.

Nonetheless, her mention in both LG15 and OpAphid suggests that Cassie may eventually join the host of canonized characters. See What ever happened to that girl, Cassie?.
