You Think What? Are You From Outer Space? -- The Genesis of the Lonelygirl15 and Moonchild Connection
The usage of the Moonchild term in relation to the Lonelygirl15 story stems from a lot of loosely-based conjecture on the part of a number of forum posters and a series of events that were occurring at the time leading up to the ceremony. There was no solid link between the LG15 series and the Moonchild concept. With the coming of Crowleymas on October 12th, the anticipated date for the ceremony and anti-climatic nature of the day resulting from a faked ceremony, the Moonchild theory has grown even farther from "Breeality" than the moon itself is from the Earth. The Moonchild concept has however, made its way into Lonelygirl15 Fanfiction and response videos.

What is a Moonchild?
The concept of the Moonchild (Moonchild) was created by Aleister Crowley in his book bearing that name. The Moonchild is an homunculus that is in essence an ethereal being which would play a role in bringing about Armageddon and a resulting new age of Horus. There have been two pervasive themes within these theories. The first was that the Order would attempt to impregnate Bree during the ceremony with a Moonchild type being. The second theory was that Bree was herself a Moonchild. One element fueling this came from Bree mentioning that the other kids called her "Stargirl". While not identical, the usage of other celestial bodies linked with the term for a female child drew some further conjecture that Bree was a special child, maybe an ethereally-conceived being. Recently, it has been confirmed that Bree was indeed a special child within the Order. She was identified as a potential candidate for the ceremony as a baby and placed with a hand-picked family to be raised as their own, as were many other children across the globe. Apparently only a very select few of these children are ever deemed adequately suited for the ceremony. Bree was one of these chosen children. While still a stretch, this new revelation does crack the door ever so slightly for Bree to have some role in a Moonchild scenario.

Fans of the Moonchild
There have been some fan videos composed around the concept of the Moonchild/and or the Babalon_Working.
Gemma: I'm glad you went with your instincts on this, Bree. You were right not to trust the authorities. They may not be who they seem. The best thing for now would be to stay put and soak in the pool. You know watching, um, Thor, Owen and P. Monkey kind of reminded me of my favorite Olympic game: The plunge for distance! It was featured in the 1904 Olympics. It requires participants to dive into the pool, remain rigid, and float as far as they could. And they could not draw a single breath. (Gemma takes a deep breath, puffs out her cheeks, checks her watch, and then pretends to pass out.) I have this visual in my head of these logs just bobbing about like bumper cars. Regrettably, the sport was discontinued the next time around. It's a real loss. I think Owen and Thor would be quite good at it; I'm not sure about P. Monkey, though. He's kind of a wanker. Anyway, keep doing what you're doing, and you'll be fine. Oh, don't tell P. Monkey what I said about him, he looks like a fragile little geezer. Take care!

Notes
* The plunge for distance actually exists just as Gemma described.
* The British/Australian slang term "wanker" caused a minor uproar among some fans who felt the use of the word was extremely inappropriate.
*The LonesomeOctober spinoff posted a video called Wanker?!? in which P. Monkey angrily demands that Gemma apologize. Gemma failed to do so in her next video, so P. Monkey released another video, titled It's On, Gemma!, in which he reports her to a watch group for disabled Americans. He explains that he was born without legs and took offense to Gemma's remarks about him not performing well in swimming competitions.

Beth (also known as Deep Throat) was one of the guests from the party that Jonas, Daniel, and Alex went to at Rebecca's house. She is a friend of Toby's and works as a reporter.

Nothing was heard from Beth for a long time after the party. Presumably, during this gap, she was working for the Order. However, when she and Alex realized what the Order was planning to do with Bree, they started to betray them. They sent information to TAAG using code names, Alex was TCC and Beth was Deep Throat. As Deep Throat, Beth contacted Daniel via text message with information regarding the Ceremony. On the day of the Ceremony, her clues helped TAAG track down Bree at the medical facility in which she was held.
There are no spoken words in this episode, only the music and occasional background noises, including at some points what sounds like a police radio or talk show clips.

The video starts with a montage of footage from a car driving along the coast, followed by footage of Bree walking on the beach, sitting and talking with Daniel, Jonas and Daniel watching Bree from a distance, a helicopter flying by, and ending with a shot of Bree lying down that fades into the words "In Memory of Bree's Dad" displayed on a black screen.
Jules, a.k.a. Callmejules24 (often referred to as Julie or Julia by BDJ, full name Julia Anderson), is a 15-year-old girl who lived in Texas. For a while, she appeared to be the New Girl referred to by Alex in The Perfect Beach as a replacement for Bree. However, she was ultimately revealed to have been a decoy successfully planted by the Order to lure Bree out of hiding and bring her back under their control.

Appearance
Jules posted a video on YouTube on April 9, 2007, and began her MySpace blog on the same day. Her posts and videos were about her fascination with foreign languages, her cat, and typical teen problems with her parents and her little sister. There were echoes of Bree's videos from the first, such as complaining about feeling trapped in a strict, dull lifestyle dictated by her parents, and the fact that she was learning a language "you're probably not even familiar with." (Enochian?)

Confirmation
At that time, there were several possible "New Girls," including Taylor, whose first video appeared the same week as Jules's. But on April 16th, 2007, in the video The Ceremony Girl?! - NBR Investigates, Nikki Bower singled Jules out as the possible replacement for Bree in the Ceremony. Bree, at this time in hiding with Daniel and Jonas in the bunker, took notice of this information in New Girl, posted on April 17th, 2007, and said, referring to Jules, "I'm not gonna let the Order do to her what they tried to do to me." Bree's focus on Jules continued over her next two videos, Sloppy Drunk and Blog Girl (both made in the bunker), in which she analyzed the information in Jules's continuing series of YouTube videos and MySpace blog posts, described her attempts to contact Jules, and asked for help from fans on the forum. Her growing desire to rescue Jules and prevent her from doing the Ceremony is evident throughout these videos.

Search
On April 25th, 2007, Taylor posted a video, I Recognize Her!, referring to Jules as "Julie," and saying that she thought she recognized her as a girl who had played on a rival soccer team in her area the previous year. Bree took notice of this information on April 26th, 2007 in A Solid Lead, which turned out to be the last video from the bunker. On April 29th, 2007, Bree posted OUT OF THE BUNKER!!! and revealed that she, Daniel, and Jonas were on their way to Zavalla (referred to as "a teeny-eensy-weensy little town" in Texas) to meet Taylor, try to find Jules, and talk to her, although Bree had enough foresight to recognize and state that "this could be a trap."

Upon arriving in Zavalla, the three had a startling meeting with Taylor's sister Sarah in Crazy Emo Chick (May 1st, 2007), in which Sarah, in her first LG15 appearance, briefly took Daniel hostage by sticking her lipstick in his back and pretending that it was a gun. All five of them searched for Jules in the May 2nd, 2007 video No Trespassing, in which Taylor appeared as canon for the first time, and her astounding computer skills were revealed. On May 4th, 2007 We Found Julia!!! was posted, which showed Bree accosting Jules on her way home and attempting to talk to her; however, Jules pushed Bree away and ran off. This was Jules's first physical appearance in an LG15 video as a canon character.

Kidnapping
In It's Not Kidnapping on May 7th, 2007 the plot took a surprising turn, as BDJ kidnapped Jules. Although Bree had seemed increasingly anxious to convince Jules not to do the Ceremony, this video revealed that she was willing to rationalize violence and illegal acts to do so. Naïve Girl (May 8th, 2007) showed Jules's defiance and Bree's uncertainty as to whether she had done the right thing. BDJ were shown reacting to Jules's escape in She's Missing on May 9, and her recapture was referred to in Jonas's video Aiding and Abetting on May 10th, 2007. Jonas, throughout the kidnapping episode, was clearly and vocally opposed to this course of action, and concerned about Jules' well-being, while Daniel was also worried, but committed to supporting Bree's efforts.

Last appearance
On May 11th, 2007, What the F*@k??? was posted, in which BDJ and Jules were found by the Order. Their car was forced to the side of the road and Jules, then Bree, got out of the car. Bree walked over to where Jules was standing with Lucy and a Watcher, spoke briefly to Lucy, and then got in the car with the three of them and drove off, leaving Daniel and Jonas frantic and bewildered. They stayed in Zavalla another week and were shown stealing Jules's medical records, with Sarah and (especially) Taylor's help, on May 18th, 2007 in the video Let's Play Doctor. These records indicated that Jules was trait negative, which confirmed that she could not have been a candidate for the Ceremony. Daniel and Jonas left Zavalla the next day and returned to Jonas's house.

Jules's videos and blog posts ended at the time she was kidnapped, and she has not been seen as an active character again.

Notes
* Jules was the first character whose full name was revealed. In Let's Play Doctor, we find out that Julia's last name is Anderson.
* In 2006 Graduation Ceremony (full version) from the Homeschoolers Aggregate, Jules was listed as a graduate.

Etymology
Julia
Feminine form of the old Roman family name Julius. A woman called Julia is mentioned in Paul's Epistle to the Romans (Romans 16:15), and the name was borne by numerous early saints. Its frequency increased with the vogue for classical names in the 18th century, and it continues to enjoy considerable popularity, although the recent introduction of Julie to the English-speaking world has reduced this somewhat.

Anderson
Definition: Patronymic surname meaning "son of Andrew." Andrew (man, manly) was the first of Jesus' disciples, and was a revered name in medieval times due to its church connections. St. Andrew is the patron saint of both Scotland and Russia. Many Danes, Norwegians and Swedes who emigrated to America with the last name Andersson or Anderssen, dropped the extra -S after their arrival.
Sophie is a fan of KateModern who has been following the KM videos and placing them on her Bebo account. She is an aspiring artist and has spent many hours wandering around her favorite museum, the Tate Modern in London. She was seen leading the fan interaction at Carnaby Street, Saturday 18th August, 10AM. She was also present at Kate's art show, where she got to meet Charlie and Kate. She witnessed the craziness that happened that day, and helped give a recap to an on-the-scenes reporter. She then asked for a copy of the reporter's footage, which she edited and posted on Bebo.

More recently, she tried to coerce Lee into giving Tariq and Gavin their software back, but instead had a run-in with a Watcher who stole the clue to Lee's next treasure hunt location. This left her feeling guilty, because the flowers that Lee had given her in St. Paul's Cathedral: 6pm - 22nd November 2007 had distracted her from the clue.

Sophie is a member of the KateModern crew who acts as the designated fan liaison, similar to Bukanator in the early days of lonelygirl15 or Nikki Bower today.
In order to help fans catch up with her favorite show, Sophie has been posting recap videos to her account. They contain no new material, but simply recompile the happenings of that week.
A few videos are posted to cover larger spans of time and often only cover the broader plotlines. These types of Recap videos are posted only once or twice a Season.
(Daniel is standing in front of some stone steps outside Professor DelMundo's set with some pink roses.)

Daniel: So, this is the place. 455. You know, when I woke up this morning, I thought that coming out here and surprising Mal was the stupidest idea I had ever had. But then I changed my mind. Again. So here I am, outside of the place where Mallory's working on that film with Professor DelMundo. I guess this is their official set. It's almost five, and they're supposed to wrap by five. (He shows the camera the roses.) Pink roses... Mal's favorite. Yeah, I know it's only been a few weeks, but... I don't know, I feel like it's been a long time since the last... (he winces) I'm so whipped, huh? (He laughs) My script. Mal is gonna be blown away when she sees how much I've written over the past few weeks. Honestly, I'm blown away by how much I've written. And I can honestly say that I don't think it entirely sucks. I'm actually kind of psyched with how it's turning out. You know, I know it sounds a little bit lame, but I'm serious. I feel like my writing stepped up like... three or four levels or something. And a lot of this stuff is really, really personal. But you know what? I feel like I've been writing in a way that... that it can relate to anyone. You know? Or at least I hope I am. (cut) It's now 5:30, and there's no sign of Mal or any of the film crew, so I'm guessing that something happened, and they had to shoot later than expected. Of course, I kinda wanted to hang out here and wait for her to come out (indicates roses) so I could surprise her, but now I'm thinking that I should probably just go check it out. I mean, what if they had to do a bunch of reshoots? I could be waiting out here all night.

(Daniel walks through a doorway and looks up at a balcony where Professor DelMundo is standing, speaking to someone inside.)

Professor DelMundo: Hey, don't forget your bag.

Mallory: (inside) I'm getting it.

Daniel: I can hear her. There she is. (Mallory walks outside and kisses the Professor.) That's... Fuck me!

(The professor begins to walk away, but Mallory grabs his arm and pulls him back to her for another kiss.)

Daniel: Mallory?

Mallory: Daniel? (Daniel throws the flowers onto the steps and walks away, angry.) Daniel, wait!

Daniel: (quietly, to the camera) I'm gonna post this. I'm gonna show everyone what she did.

(Mallory looks at Daniel from the balcony and sadly puts her head in her hands.)
The Order is the secret, and apparently powerful, organization behind the Hymn of One, the religion which Bree belonged to. It appears to be a complex organization with multiple factions and positions, and still not fully-explained purposes.

Much of the Lonelygirl15 series revolves around the mysterious Order and the obscure ceremony that they want Bree or other trait positive girls to perform, apparently to benefit the Elders of the Order.

It is important to note that the concept of The Order and its factions has developed, and perhaps morphed, since Lonelygirl15 started. Sometimes it is difficult to reconcile references in early videos with later videos, though fans have proposed creative ways to harmonize inconsistencies similar to the work of Biblicial scholars.clr

Structure and Inner Workings of The Order
The Order is very secretive about its operations. Bree has mentioned that information is often withheld from lower-level members, and that some of these people's lives are dedicated to keeping their business private; however, the following list outlines positions that have been revealed thus far in the series. For more detail, review the individually linked articles.

People
* The Leaders: Over time, it has been disclosed that the figures of authority within the Order include The Deacons and Elders. There have also been references to rogue Elders who apparently have not obeyed all the rules of the Order.

* Helper. A person who helps someone prepare for the Ceremony. Lucy was Bree's helper.

* Watchers. Watchers typically appear in the series as suited men wearing dark glasses, often in pursuit of the show's main characters, and can be identified by a distinctive watcher symbol on their hand. Watchers first appeared after Bree went on the run in November 2006, and were originally described by Gemma as a twisted "Knights of the Round Table" part of the Order (A Watcher (Nov. 17, 2006)). Gemma's description was later contradicted somewhat by Alex, in Proceed with Caution (July 23, 2007). Alex reported that a Watcher's "only mission is to protect girls like Bree. They have no knowledge whatsoever of the Ceremony, they've never even heard of it. They're members of the Hymn of One and they don't know anything about the Order, its intentions, its makeup; they don't even know the Order exists. Be that as it may, Watchers will absolutely use violence if violence is used first, and if that's the case, watch out!" clr

* Shadows. Guards for Elders. First described by Alex in Proceed with Caution (July 23, 2007). They are physically augmented by a variety of pharmaceuticals, don't need to sleep, are stronger and faster than the average person and usually cannot live past the age of 30. Shadow members have a tattoo on their forearm of the Greek letter tau encircled by the letter omicron.
Clr

Branches
[[Image:Hymn of One website.JPG|thumb|right|150px|Screenshot from hymnofone.org.]]
* The Hymn of One contains the believers in its cult-like religion, who are generally not aware of the Order or its activities. It has been described as the recruitment arm of the Order. Older lonelygirl15 videos sugggest that many members of Bree's religion (before it was dubbed The Hymn of One) live in communities spread across the globe. There are at least three communities: one in England, one in South Africa, and another in New Zealand. Although Bree lived in Southern California, no mention of a commune in that location was ever made. However, Bree seemed to live in some type of commune environment before completing the Ceremony in August 2007. It is also clear that other members of the Hymn of One live in Southern California, because Bree attended summer camp nearby, and the Hymn of One later held recruiting activities in the same area. Nikki Bower has reported that neither the Hymn of One nor the Order watch the lonelygirl15 videos.
*OpAPHID - During the period of time in the series where OpAphid was the official ARG of lonelygirl15 (Nov. 2006 - Mar. 2007), OpAphid was represented as a militant enforcement branch of the Order, and often some of the people hunting down Bree. Bree and Gemma both mentioned the acronym OPAPHID in vlogs; in An Awkward Silence, Gemma said that it was a guide to their interactions with outsiders. Later videos from Tachyon (who opposed OpAphid) revealed that Gemma was an OpAphid agent. After the crossover between OpAphid and Lonelygirl15 ended in the Spring of 2007, Nikki Bower reported that OpAphid and Tachyon appeared to be missing in action.
clr

Covers
The Order has many fronts to help conceal its true nature. Three of its major covers recently joined together to form the Lullaby Project, the true nature of which is to help find new ways to achieve the eternal life the Elders seem to so desperately want.

* The Hymn of One is a religious cover for the Order.
* The Wyman Foundation acts as non-profit research organization, but is truly a cover for the Order
* Verdus Pharmaceuticals is a major drug company that is also a cover for the Order.
Clr

Development of The Order Backstory
Bree's early videos mentioned that she had been "religious" her whole life, but did not reveal the name of her religion. She did clarify that her religion was not Christianity.

An organization called "The Order of Denderah" was first mentioned in the video Learning To Drive (Sept. 20, 2006). In that video, Daniel and Bree argued about Bree's ritual and she exclaimed that her parents were "not Order of Denderah!". A few weeks later in his Order Of Denderah video (Oct. 6, 2006), Daniel tried to research the Order of Denderah, for he suspected that it was, in fact, Bree's religion. The concern of many fans through this time period of the show was that Bree's religion was some type of evil cult.

In early November 2006, Gemma announced the existence of "The Order": "It's more like a secret society. It's not a religion after all." She also denied any connection of the Order to Thelema (Learning Egyptian (Nov. 9, 2006)). She did not mention "denderah."

In April 2007, Bree revealed that her religion is called the The Hymn of One, and describes it as a front for the Order... a "recruiting branch." (Losing My Religion (Apr. 3, 2007)).

Then, in About The Gun (Apr. 16, 2007), Bree, Daniel, Jonas stole away in a bunker previously used by the Resistance to the Order, and found a whiteboard containing information about the structure of the Order. The whiteboard helped to confirm many fan theories.

In July 2007, Alex first introduced the concept of Shadows (Proceed with Caution (July 23, 2007)).

Religious Influences of The Order
Although the Creators have claimed that they do not want the Order to be associated with any one religion, many references to existing religions can be found throughout the series. These references include:
*The picture of Aleister Crowley on Bree's bedroom wall.
*Bree attended summer camp in the summers of 2005 and 2006 with peers from her religion in which they put on a play about Pilgrims arriving at Plymouth and the adventures that they had.
*Bree's studies of Enochian in preparation for the ceremony.
*Bree's mention of her mother's strong belief in free will, as well as other references to the importance of free will in choosing to do the Ceremony.
*Preparation for the ceremony for Bree included studies on The Zodiac of Denderah.
*Bree attended a ceremony on the Fall Equinox in September 2006 in which her dad performed bibliomancy.
*References to Aleister Crowley on the Hymn of One website.

Furthermore, on more than one occasion, Bree expresses reservation about sharing her beliefs with others. Her religion is unusual and sometimes adds to her alienation from her peers.
*Bree has told viewers that she does not talk about her religion because she expects some people would be very disrespectful of it. (A Change In My Life)
*Bree mentions that she was once friends with a girl named Cassie, who stopped coming over because the "religion thing kinda freaked her out." (My Helper)

The most logical reason for the religious trappings of the the Order is that they are operating under the guise of "The Hymn of One" to mask their real operations and true intentions.

As you can see, these Orange Slurpees and possibly other Orange products (i.e Orange Juice), are very serious and VERY destructive. However, Orange Slurpee has started a orange_slurpee in his/her/its defense, stating that OS is unaffiliated with the Order and actually has NO evil intentions.

The word orange appears as a tag to Gemma's video A Watcher.

Shortly after this website was erected, the "Breakfast In Bed" video clip came out, showing multiple images and references to oranges. Orange Slurpee commented on this in the most recent OS blog. Fans speculate that these images were foreshadowing of the impending danger of the Watchers facing Bree and Daniel.

Jonas went on record in the LG15 chat on 27 November 2006 as being a fan of orange Slurpees and one who hangs around at the local 7-Eleven. Also, the clock in Jonas's house was set to approximately 7:11 in the video Trust Issues

Dr. Immant, in his most recent video, Order Announcement: New Policy to Combat Misinformation., making a public announcement, sipped on a Slurpee saying "mmm orange" when he thought he was no longer on the air.

In the video Truth Or Dare, a drunken Daniel slurrs, "Let's get a Slurpee."

In a video titled ARONEG released by the707clique, "clique" (or 707clique), a user known for using foul language on the forum, drinks an Orange Slurpee in an attempt to prove it wrong, and turns evil.

Orange Slurpee Credits
Characters Who Have Played A Major Role in Orange Slurpee's character development:

Iamcool, Sydney, Lizard, Joe, HoorayForMeImMakingOut, Grace, QuickClick, Hooda17, Georgia, Orange Slurpee, Marbella, Tessaroo, and many others.

These selected few are referred to as the OSC. All but a rare few have completely disappeared from the Breeniverse. This suggests that they have been kidnapped, or "taken care of" by the Order as punishment for exposing one of the Order's most clever plots. (Seriously, poison/drugs slipped into an innocent-looking fruity iced drink? Who would have thought?)

Orange Notes- Proving Orange Wrong/Evil
* Orange Juliuses are tasty orange drinks. Orange Julius's logo has the Devil on it. The Devil was evil before being evil was cool. Evil is now cool. Orange Julius is cool, has the Devil on its logo and is orange, Obviously, orange is evil as hell (pun intended).

* Prison inmates are often dressed in orange. Most prisoners are criminals. Most criminals are evil. So prison inmates are evil and wear orange; therefore, orange is evil.

* Pumpkins are orange. Pumpkins play a big role in horror movies like Pumpkinhead and anything about Sleepy Hollow. The Green Goblin uses exploding pumpkins. All of these characters are evil. Pumpkins are orange and are used by evil people; therefore, orange must be evil.

* Oranges are used as a symbol of impending doom in The Godfather.

* Two words: Clockwork Orange

Icee
- At the time Bree was captured, she was drinking an Orange Icee. It has been theorized, that Orange Icee is as evil as her nefarious cousin, Orange Slurpee.

- May 17, 2007 - Sonic the restaurant advertised their new Orange Slushie in one of those page-covering ads when you first go on to Myspace.

So the question is... is Sonic part of the Order? o.0
Background
Jonas's parents were (until recently) thought to be lost at sea several years ago while sailing around the 140th longitude; no wreckage was ever found. Jonas explained this incident in his earlier videos, but offered no explanation for their mysterious disappearance. He later mentioned that they used to "do weird stuff", and that they were traveling all the time, or constantly out on their boat.

In later videos, more information about his parents began to surface. His father was in an anti-Order movement and wrote a thesis on it, which was shared with many high-profile people. His parents also started a foundation, the goal of which has not yet been revealed.

When Jonas visited his aunt's house, he discovered a scrapbook of news clippings compiled by her. The initials of the people his father CC'd on the thesis matched the people who had disappeared. He took this to mean that they had been working for the resistance together and gotten snuffed out by the Order. Jonas assumed that the scrapbook meant his aunt, Alex, was also part of the resistance, however Tachyon and Bree suspected otherwise, warning Jonas against staying with his aunt. When he confronted Alex, she confessed her true allegiances and that she did, indeed, betray his parents. Adding insult to injury, Alex claimed that they were still alive and that they probably didn't remember him.

Reunion
In Remember Them?, LaRezisto showed images of a couple, claiming they were Jonas's parents. He intimated that their memories had somehow been erased, and urged Jonas to come find them. Jonas soon revealed that they were, in fact, his parents, but that he had no intention of trying to find them, angrily blaming them for abandoning him. After realizing that LaRezisto was also filming him, Jonas went to find his family, hoping to help in the resistance.

When Jonas met his parents again, they invited him in, but greeted him with skepticism because they didn't remember who he was. Jonas said that they had a picture of him as a child and was convinced they remembered him deep down inside. At this reunion, he was introduced to his younger sister Emma.

Anger at Jonas
After finding out that Emma was the new trait positive ceremony girl, Jonas made plans to take her and hide, however, the Order invaded their home and tried to take her by force. Jonas's parents were shot in the struggle, however the injuries were not serious. Jonas and Daniel dropped them off at the hospital before leaving for Arizona.

Jonas did not speak with his parents for a while, but called them after losing Emma. He spoke to his father, who said that he did not believe anything Jonas had said, and wanted nothing further to do with him unless he had Emma. Later, in the video What Happened?, they talk to Emma and say: "Jonas is not gonna bother you ever again. We won't let that happen." Later, Emma runs away to find Jonas when her parents won't listen to her about her noticeable similarities to Gina, a girl who died from turning trait negative.

Notes
*Though their names remain unknown, Jonas's father's initials are R.J.W., as seen on a copy The Order in the Modern Empire, a paper he once wrote for the Resistance.
*Some fans have speculated that Jonas's parents may be Bree's biological parents, however, this seems highly unlikely due to the fact that Bree and Jonas slept together.
Isaac Gilman is a geneticist first mentioned by Daniel in The Mad Scientist. After decoding a message from Bree's dad, Daniel, Jonas and Sarah were able to find Gilman's name in a box left for them at the site of the camp play.

When Daniel tried to find him at the Wyman Foundation in San Diego, the receptionist simply said that there was no Dr. Gilman there. When the gang did further research and went to his health club, they met his former mistress who revealed that Gilman had been killed December 31, 2006, in a car accident on his way to pick up his son, Spencer.

On the day of his death, Gilman was planning to meet with Bree's dad (Drew Avery); Avery also died that day. It is speculated that both Gilman and Avery were killed because they were going to inject Bree with a serum in an attempt to make her "Trait Negative," and therefore undesirable to the Order.

The mistress went on to say that she and Gilman were together for ten years until the day he died, and that although he was married, the marriage was horrible.

It was later disclosed that Isaac's lab assistant at the Wyman Foundation many years ago was Dr. Calvin Hart, a Doctor who helped Jonas and Emma learn more about turning trait negative, but that Gilman and Hart ended up being rivals to each other when Dr. Hart moved to Verdus Pharmaceuticals to work.
Bree's stuffed animal

Purple Monkey (aka P. Monkey) is a hand-puppet featured in many of Bree's videos. Purple Monkey first appears in First Blog / Dorkiness Prevails on Bree's bed for a brief moment when Bree is shown spinning around during the Gnarls Barkley song montage. Episode 2, Purple Monkey, is dedicated to introducing Purple Monkey, where she is described as being from Texas, not liking the fact she's a puppet, and as someone who helps Bree out.

Purple Monkey seems to have gender issues as it has been referred to by Bree as both she and he, though mostly as she.

P. Monkey sometimes gets made fun of by Bree (when she covers its ears and says something). However, in the video Don't Trust The Authorities it is Gemma who does the insulting. She calls him a wanker for not being able to swim, as well as a "fragile geezer." There was a great deal of tension between the two afterwards.

Purple Monkey is widely available at Target stores (or at least was at one time). The official name for this stuffed animal is "Pappa Geppetto Monkey Puppet." Purple monkey puppets have also appeared in videos by LonesomeOctober, TWJaniak, and Paulmark18.

After Bree's death, P. Monkey became the longest serving character.

Connection to Lucy
Lucy is a character later introduced in the series who is also somebody who helps Bree. Towards the beginning of the series, P. Monkey plays a very frequent role and is Bree's helper. However, in the later episodes as the ceremony approaches, P. Monkey appears less and less and Lucy is now called the helper. Bree makes the point of asking Lucy if it is okay for her to have stuffed animal friends (ex: P. Monkey). Lucy rephrases Bree's words by referring to them as "imaginary friends", and says they are a positive thing for people to have because they can talk to them when there is no one else around.

Fate of Purple Monkey
After the death of Bree's father, Purple Monkey appeared no longer able to help Bree. Daniel used Purple Monkey to try to cheer Bree up in Purple Monkey Returns, but Bree would have none of it. In Training Hard, Purple Monkey made an appearance, and Bree admitted that she had not had much time to hang out with Purple Monkey. She went on to say, however, that she thought she was getting too old to be playing with stuffed toys.

Return of Purple Monkey
After 77 days, Purple Monkey is once again seen in Entertaining Myself. Sarah is shown playing with him and kissing him, pretending that he is Daniel. It should be noted, however, that she doesn't even bother to ask him his name, referring to him simply as "this stuffed monkey."

In I hAtE tHeSe PeOpLe, he is forced to watch Bree struggling to remember him, and throwing Owen in frustration. However -- if Bree's incoherent ramblings can be believed -- Purple Monkey still supports her and listens to her, even in this dark time.

Daniel and Sarah are shown playing with P. Monkey in Taking Advantage of Her.

After Bree's death, Daniel and Jonas decide to give P.Monkey to Jonas's little sister Emma.
Summary: The Mysterious Cassie Notes
Cassieiswatching is the name of a YouTube user who garnered notoriety for "herself" after posting two videos, featuring locations from the Lonelygirl15 videos Swimming! and In The Park. Because these locations in the Los Angeles area were believed to be known only to the LG15 production staff and cast, a great air of mystery still surrounds cassieiswatching as to how its producers came into possession of such knowledge.

The Creators of the Lonelygirl15 project have disavowed any connection to cassieiswatching , but for several weeks, numerous cassie fans speculated that the disavowment was an aspect of the "This Is Not A Game" tradition of Alternate Reality Games, which cassieiswatching is believed to have been.

The Creators of Lonelygirl15 have yet to address this speculation directly, though moderators at the official Lonelygirl15 forum have stated that the forum Admin offered assurances that cassieiswatching is not directly related to lonelygirl15.

Since the movement of cassieiswatching into the MMORG Second_life and the non-eventful nature of October 12 in lonelygirl15, cassieiswatching's producers seem to have put the project on hiatus, leaving many of its fans now ready to believe that it is an entity independent of lonelygirl15 after all. As yet, the unconfirmed detail that the "cassie" of cassieiswatching was merely an artifact of late-introduced character Frank's schizophrenia appears to be the strongest candidate for the series' solution.

Much later in the official storyline, it has been implied that cassieiswatching's videos are indeed made by Bree's friend Cassie, but rather than a supernatural origin, they are an elaborate prank pulled by a mischievous girl. This move for closure however brings up questions of its own.

In the Revelation 2 video there can clearly be seen the hands of a man fixing a lure. This bears the question that if these videos were done by a young girl, where did these hands come from? It could be some kind of stock footage or Cassie may have had someone working with her. One interesting thing is that the lure being fixed is an aphid. This could be a random foreboding of things to come or it could indicate foreknowledge of that which is shortly to occur.

The Puppetmaster, or creator, of Cassieiswatching has never been revealed. Suspicions have been aired regarding Glenn Rubenstein, creator of OpAphid; The Creators of lg15 themselves; Grant Steinfeld, who was an early part of the LG15 creative team; and Alli Danziger, the actress who plays Nikki Bower. However, all of these persons have either explicitly or implicitly denied any connection to Cassieiswatching, and no one has come forward to claim responsibility for the series.

Origin
Cassieiswatching posted her first video on September 12th, 2006. The creation of cassieiswatching appears to be inspired by two events:

(1) The lonelygirl15 video Swimming! dated August 29th, 2006 contains three scenes in which the characters refer to a girl named Cassie. In the video, Bree asks Daniel about the fate of a girl she knew from high school. Daniel says he doesn't remember this girl. Bree unsuccessfully tries to spark his memory, and then says she used to walk the track with her and that other kids were mean to Cassie. The last scene contained a somber tone that contrasts with the rest of the video, which was lighthearted and intimate.

(2) The unveiling of lonelygirl15 as an interactive multimedia production and not a real video blog on September 7, 2006. The YouTube page for the first cassieiswatching video, This Is My Story Now, contains the tags "bree" "tells" "lies" in reference to the news that lonelygirl15 is not real. The video ends with a voice saying "come and get it," commonly interpreted as an invitation to lonelygirl15 viewers to participate in an ARG (Alternate Reality Game).

The game has leveraged the use of multimedia and interactive content to generate clues for the participants. Clues have been discovered in two videos, an altered Bible page, a voicemail message and several puzzles using morse code and anagrams.

Virginia Heffernan
A New York Times blogger, Virginia Heffernan, who had been extensively covering the story of lonelygirl15, reported on cassieiswatching's first video before it was released in this entry, describing it as "[a] renegade lonelygirl-spinoff, which has some attenuated ties to the original". When asked about it through e-mail, Ms. Heffernan said:

<pre>"I was tipped off to it in weird ways: Morse-code text messages, Skype
IMs with a mysterious name, and that screwy audio file. The only
proof that what the person was saying was true is that he/she/they/it
had a photo and the coordinates of the swimming hole, so I believed
that there had been some contact with the original creators. But who
knows?"</pre>
Character Development
Canon - The Official Cassie
Cassie has been referenced in four Lonelygirl15 videos so far: Swimming! dated August 30th, 2006 and My Helper dated September 27th, 2006, as well as the more recent videos Bree Phone Home and Miss Me?.

In the Swimming! video, Bree has the following discussion with Daniel:

Bree: Whatever happened to that girl Cassie?

Daniel: Who?

Bree: That girl, she was in your class. You know?

Daniel: I have no idea what you’re talking about.

(other dialog)

Bree: Did she graduate?

Daniel: Who?

Bree: Cassie.

Daniel: Who is this girl?

Bree: She was in your class

(break)

Bree: ... PE together.

Daniel: What'd she look like?

Bree: I don't remember.

Daniel: Why would you even bring it...?

Bree: I don't know what I'm... alright, just forget about it. I don't know, we used to just walk around the track together. 'Cause everybody was so mean to her. You know? Do you want to go?

Bree is perceived as an imaginative but socially immature girl, and Daniel is a practical and introverted guy. The dialog between them suggests a mystery about Cassie. Daniel, an intelligent and observant individual, should be able to remember a classmate (especially since they live in a small town). Daniel could be lying, which would alter the interpretation of the mystery, but there is no reason to believe he is withholding information from Bree. This has caused two lines of speculation: (1) Cassie disappeared due to foul play, possibly related to a cult (as many victims of cults are loners seeking acceptance from others), or (2) Bree has a split personality and Cassie is the other half.

In the My Helper video, Bree says the following:

"The only girl I've ever really been friends with was Cassie. She used to come over but the whole religion thing kinda freaked her out. And once I went back to home-school she stopped calling me."

This video may have impacted the cassieiswatching game development. The game initially left open the possibility that Cassie was a victim of a sacrifice related to Bree's occult religion, but this video has all but eliminated that theory as plausible.

The Bree Phone Home reference may have been the Creators' way of giving LG15 viewers closure on who or what cassieiswatching was. Bree explains that while they were friends, Cassie was prone to doing pranks like prank-calling strangers and whispering creepy things like "I'm watching!"(one of cassieiswatching's trademark phrases). The two of them got in trouble for the prank calls when some of the angry victims of the pranks called Bree's house using caller ID. Bree ended up taking the blame when when her furious mom confronted her about them. After that, Bree stopped really talking to Cassie. It is worth noting that in this version of Cassie, she is described as girl who liked to pull creepy pranks. Coupled with the mention of her use of cassieiswatching's catchphrase, it's not a stretch to suppose that the official explanation for cassieiswatching is that it is another creepy prank from Bree's old friend Cassie.

Is cassieiswatching a benevolent or malevolent character?
The behavior of cassieiswatching could be described as an anonymous informant. She uses direct and indirect methods of conveying information to the participants. The information is oriented to the history of Cassie and the fate of Bree.

Is cassieiswatching alive or dead?
Speculation that cassieiswatching is dead originates from the disembodied filming style of her two videos and the line "But Cassie does not rest in peace" from clue #7.

Differences between the storylines
Adaptation of the Cassie character by cassieiswatching is increasingly divergent from the Cassie character referenced in the lonelygirl15 videos:

- cassieiswatching appears to be stalking the Bree character, however neither Bree nor Daniel have been aware of the whereabounts of Cassie for a year or longer.

- cassieiswatching has suggested being a victim of a cult ritual in clue #7, however in the Lonelygirl15 "My Helper" video (posted after clue #7 was discovered) Bree says Cassie was a friend until "the whole religion thing kinda freaked her out".

-As posted on Frank's Website:(http://canyouhearher.blogspot.com/)

"Hello to all. This message is from Kaye, Frank's wife. I am sorry to inform you that Frank passed away last night.

....

Also, I can assure you there is no Cassie, Bree or other person who was actually in Frank's life at the end. Unfortunately, Frank saw and heard many people who were not there, and he couldn't tell the difference between those hallucinations and people in the real world. The police and the manager at the motel have said that there was no evidence of a person in crisis who Frank was actually helping. It is common for people with Frank's condition to invent dramatic situations."

There are many that believe that Frank is not really dead. It is believed by many that Frank faked the posts from Kaye as he was seeking to get away from the madness that had found him on his blog in the form of many abusive posters. The question is if Frank is indeed alive, will he and/or cassieiswatching ever return.

Gamejacking
Some of the cassieiswatching clues have been interpreted to show evidence of an Alternate Reality Game phenomenon known as "gamejacking". The change in the first video's description to "TOO SLOW. I DON'T PLAY CARDS. YOU ALL FAILED. I HATE YOU." and cassieiswatching's YouTube profile to "i don't play cards" has been interpreted as a denunciation of the tarot card clue.
