These changes are often attempts to attract their fans' waning attention with over-the-top statements or increasingly overt appeals to sex or violence. Jump-the-shark moments are typically scenes that finally convince viewers that the show has fundamentally and permanently strayed from its original premise. In the video, Bree asks Daniel about the fate of a girl she knew from high school. Daniel says he doesn't remember this girl. Bree unsuccessfully tries to spark his memory, and then says she used to walk the track with her and that other kids were mean to Cassie. The last scene contained a somber tone that contrasts with the rest of the video, which was lighthearted and intimate.

(2) The unveiling of lonelygirl15 as an interactive multimedia production [http://lonelygirl15.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=36] and not a real video blog on September 7, 2006. The YouTube page for the first cassieiswatching video, [[This Is My Story Now]], contains the tags "bree" "tells" "lies" in reference to the news that lonelygirl15 is not real. The video ends with a voice saying "come and get it," commonly interpreted as an invitation to lonelygirl15 viewers to participate in an alternate reality game.

The game has leveraged the use of multimedia and interactive content to generate clues for the participants. Clues have been discovered in two videos, an altered Bible page, a voicemail message and several puzzles using morse code and anagrams.

Next, several still images are shown which includes two pictures of Bree from the [[In The Park]] video, dated September 14, 2006, a crime scene photo of the bodies of Sharon Tate and Jay Sebring as committed by the Manson Family members, another Manson Family crime photo from the LaBianca murder scene with "Healter Skelter" misspelled in blood on the refrigerator door, and several pictures of the park where the [[In The Park]] video was filmed (including a picture of clue #4). A loud scream is included with the still images. Then, the camera moves through the park at high speed to the location where Bree was waiting for Daniel in the [[In The Park]] video. Next, several still images are shown which includes two pictures of Bree from the [[In The Park]] video, dated September 14, 2006, a crime scene photo of the bodies of Sharon Tate and Jay Sebring as committed by the Manson Family members, another Manson Family crime photo from the LaBianca murder scene with "Healter Skelter" misspelled in blood on the refrigerator door, and several pictures of the park where the [[In The Park]] video was filmed (including a picture of clue #4). A loud scream is included with the still images. Then, the camera moves through the park at high speed to the location where Bree was waiting for Daniel in the [[In The Park]] video. Simultaneously, it plays audio of the Beatles song "Helter Skelter" at high speed (which includes the 'loud scream' previously mentioned) and U2's Bono saying "Charles Manson stole this from the Beatles, now were taking it back." in reference to the same song.

"The only girl I've ever really been friends with was Cassie. She used to come over but the whole religion thing kinda freaked her out. And once I went back to home-school she stopped calling me."

This video may impact the cassieiswatching game development. The game left open the possibility that Cassie was a victim of a sacrifice related to Bree's occult religion, but this video has all but eliminated that theory as plausible.

- cassieiswatching appears to be stalking the Bree character, however neither Bree nor Daniel have been aware of the whereabounts of Cassie for a year or longer.

- cassieiswatching has never suggested Bree will die, and there is no evidence of a life-threatening situation in the lonelygirl15 videos. Some followers have, however, theorized that cassieiswatching is suggesting that the upcoming 'ceremony' for Bree's religion may involve her sacrifice.

- cassieiswatching has suggested being a victim of a cult ritual in clue #7, however in the Lonelygirl15 "My Helper" video (posted after clue #7 was discovered) Bree says Cassie was a friend until "the whole religion thing kinda freaked her out".
