Rachel, sometimes known by her username Redearth, is a main character in Redearth88. She is a teenage girl, about the same age as Maddison, who just finished her first college year, majoring in communications. She started videoblogging as an assignment, and later met Linc in the park.

She and Linc went on a date, but things started to fall out when Rachel met Linc's cousin (whom Linc said he had been filming in the park). Linc's cousin had no idea what Rachel was talking about.

Rachel has an ex-boyfriend named Jordan. He was in a band, but Rachel broke up with him when he caught him sleeping with another girl. She went to a clinic to get the results of an STD test, where Linc saved her from an OpAphid agent.

Rachel was missing in action after Linc's video Worth The Wait?, in which she vanishes in a tunnel and Linc is abducted by OpAphid herself.

However, on October 13th Rachel uploaded the video Where Does The Time Go?, in which she explains that as soon as Linc had his back turned she hightailed it out of the tunnel and decided to return home to east Texas to her grandfather's place. Whether this is true, or if fake memories were implanted by OpAphid is unconfirmed.

Rachel also confirmed that her professor making her vlog in the first place was Dr. Arscott seemingly confirming that she is from Nacogdoches and attends school with Clara.

On October 21st, Rachel uploaded the video Opportunity Crisis!, in which she reveals that she received a call from her former boss, offering her old job back. She is contemplating taking the offer considering she can't afford the apartment she is in. She considers getting a roommate but reveals she had the "worst possible dormmate" in college last year and so is concerned. On top of all that, she has picked up the wrong suitcase at the airport, accidently switching it with someone named Aly Zarin, who she says "totally sounds like a Russian heiress or something".

In Rachel's next video, she explained that Aly Zarin had retrieved her suitcase and is actually "pretty cool". Aly had just gotten a long-term gig in Los Angeles and was looking to move out of her brother's apartment, as she and his brother's wife here not getting along. So Rachel decides to let Aly move in with her. Aly pays Rachel first and last month's rent "no strings attached", although she does ask if Rachel has any puppets.

Rachel's next two videos discussed how well things were going with Aly and lead into discussion of Rachel's old roomate Zoey, whom she didn't get along with...to put it lightly. Rachel also mentions a dinner party being thrown by "my boss and his wife", which Aly is going to help her pick out clothes for.

The next few Rachel videos documented the results of picking out the clothes for the party. Rachel is disturbed by the fact that Aly seemed to only pick out revealing attire and was very focused on watching Rachel as she tried on clothes. This makes Rachel question whether she wants to live with Aly anymore. This thought is reversed in Rachel's next vlog, Exploring Myself, in which she discusses why she reacted so harshly and questions her own sexuality.

Brother (also known as 10033 and Sebastian) is Tachyon's partner. Brother feigns idiocy regularly, going as far as to claim he cannot find the "any key" on a keyboard and doesn't know how to "right click" in order to keep the Order off him. He uses the guise of a surveyor from USA Today over the phone to figure out who is on Tachyon's side before speaking with them. "Brother is supposed to be the recipient of all of Tachyon's drops and they communicate through voicemail messages and puzzles.

Brother was previously located in London, for reasons unknown at this time, posing as "Sebastian" at a school. Gemma was also undercover at this school in order to get close to Brother.

Brother has since been thought to have killed War Pylol. He also helped Linc out of a sticky situation with OpAphid. Brother is now a Redearth88 character.

Important dates
On February 15th, 2006, Gemma emailed "Sebastian" an apology for how she had behaved earlier in class. They had been friends for a few weeks before this letter, and she admits that she had become interested in him romantically. Whether her feelings were true or just part of her plan to get close to him, is unknown.

On August 6, 2006, War Pylol posted the video Add Poe Hinder Vilification ("Location Verified, D in APHID") to alert OpAphid of Brother's exact location. Tachyon saw the video, figured it out, and arranged for Brother to escape. They planted a corpse on the explosion scene to make OpAphid believe "Sebastian" had been sufficiently dealt with.

Since then, he has been under a self-imposed house arrest; growing a beard and living like a shut-in. Brother did this so that the Order would not make the connection that he was the same person as "Sebastian" and had thwarted their attempt on his life.

On December 31st, 2006, Brother was to assassinate Gemma for leading warpylol to him. Whether or not he was successful is still up in the air.

On January 8th, 2007, Brother took over Gemma's account. We still do not know if Gemma is alive or dead, but because of the account recovery, it has led many to believe that Gemma was killed.

The profile was changed to say:

Greetings and salutations!

It's time you all knew the truth about Gemma.
On February 10th, 2007, Brother piloted the helicopter in The Human Ransom that helped BDJ escape from the Order.
Trivia
* In the comic book "Y: The Last Man" there is a character called "Agent 1033". Tachyon made another potential reference to this comic book by using "SETAUKET" as a filename in a drop.
* It is interesting to notice that the numbers 10033, discounting the zeros, are the three numbers that, when rearanged, make up the number 313. This is significant in the fact that this is the number of the frame in the "Zapruder" / Kennedy Assassination film that shows the impact of the actual shot.
* 10033 is the zip code for the Washington Heights neighborhood in Manhattan.

It's time you all knew the truth about Gemma.

xoxox,

T

P.S. I assume it'll take him awhile, but if you're reading this then my
"brother" 10033 has successfully taken control of this account on my behalf.

P.P.S. For more information about the Order and OpAphid, check out our
videos here under Tachyon and 10033.

On February 10th, 2007, Brother piloted the helicopter in The Human Ransom that helped BDJ escape from the Order.

Trivia
* In the comic book "Y: The Last Man" there is a character called "Agent 1033". Tachyon has made other references pointing to this comic book (Setauket, Culper Ring, etc).

Summary
OpAphid emerged encouraging Bree, telling her that she was making the right choice by doing the Ceremony. She then posted a series of videos mocking Cassie and declaring her a "psychic vampire". Tachyon, while working undercover as a low level employee for the OpAphid organization, posted three ambiguous videos as messages to Brother, her partner. One night, Tachyon fled her job and broke into one of OpAphid's information gathering facilities and stole important files. OpAphid called upon the audience to intercept this information as Tachyon left it for Brother to pick up. Tachyon only left a small piece of the information, so over the course of the next several weeks, the audience continued to intercept Tachyon's drops as she left them for Brother in different locations in California. Through these drops, it was discovered that Gemma was part of the Order and that she had been dating Brother while they were both in England. Gemma had set Brother up to be killed by War Pylol, but Tachyon secretly saved him. In return, Brother shot Gemma after some encouragement from Tachyon.

After Gemma's death, OpAphid kidnapped Daniel and brainwashed him into posting a video to encourage Bree to do the Ceremony. With Tachyon and Brother's assistance, Bree and Jonas were able to rescue Daniel from the Order. Tachyon then spent some time training Bree at an undisclosed location in the woods. After this Tachyon and Brother probably received a new assignment, and no longer interfered with Bree and her friends. OpAphid also disappeared for a while.
It is a page from Dr. Seuss' "Oh Say Can You Say."
More about Blinn
Well, when Blinn comes home tired
from his work pinning shins,
the happiest hour of old Blinn’s day begins.
Mr. Blinn is the father of musical twins
who, tucking twin instruments under twin chins,
lull their daddy to sleep with twin Blinn violins.

AND... oh say can you say,
“Far away in Berlin
a musical urchin named Gretchen von Schwinn
The message seems to indicate this to be the next drop site. "low cloudville" is believed to refer to London. "Sun is shining" refers to Ray's. "lifts" are a term used in England for elevators. "no lifts" refers to being on the first floor. CDs from New Orleans refers to Jazz. The Gershwin song may refer to "A Foggy Day" from the movie "Damsel in Distress".

Lyrics from the song are:

A foggy day, in London town
It had me low, and it had me down
I viewed the morning, with much alarm
The British Museum, had lost its charm

How long I wondered, could this thing last
But the age of miracles, it hadn't past
And suddenly, I saw you standing right there
And in foggy London town, the sun was shining everywhere

Note that the Creators have indicated by email that Bree's religion, to the extent that it is a religion, is not a real world religion but rather a fictitious creation that draws from a number of influences. To the extent that real world religions are referred to in this section it should be solely for the purpose of showing what influence was drawn from the groups. Certain religions may take offense by elements of the LG15 story line so please approach this subject with that in mind.

In the early videos
Bree's religion was not directly stated in the series until months after she had been on the run. Many used to believe her to be a member of a Thelemic religion of some sort or Argenteum Astrum, as a picture of Aleister Crowley is prominently featured in her bedroom. Moreover, the word Thelema is written in Greek (Θέλημα) at the bottom of the page at lonelygirl15.com. However, Darbyite Designs also appears at the bottom of the page, a reference to the Plymouth Brethren. Crowley was raised in the Plymouth Brethren sect. Both of these references then might not be references to her religion, but to Crowley instead. But also note the head scarf she wears. This is something female Plymouth Brethrens wear when out in public.

Bree spent a long time preparing to undergo a ritual ceremony related to her religion. In The Ceremony Is Tomorrow :) Bree tells us that the ceremony will take place on October 12th, 2006 which is also Aleister Crowley's birthday.

In Daniel, Be Careful... Bree talks about the importance of the secret nature of her religion. Aleister Crowley also talks about secrecy, but the very word "occult" comes from the latin "occultus" meaning "things secret or hidden". It is often used in the medical field, such as "occult bleeding", which would mean bleeding that is not obvious to the naked eye.

In I'm Hiding Out, Daniel described Bree's religion as a cult.

In Learning Egyptian, Gemma claims that Bree's religion is not a Thelemic religion at all but a secret society called the Order. The common occurrence of blood rituals in necromancy may also give us a clue.

There have been frequent references to The Occult in Bree's videos.

The Hymn of One
[[Image:Hymn of One website.JPG|thumb|right|150px|Screenshot from hymnofone.org.]]
In Losing My Religion, Bree for the first time talks (somewhat) openly about her religion. She says that her mother was introduced to The Hymn of One by a university professor when she was studying at Edinburgh. This religion turned out to be merely a front for the Order, or as Bree puts it, "the recruiting arm". Whatever the Order does, it executes quietly on the side. Bree has not yet expanded on the belief system touted by this "religion", but she does describe the effect it had on her mother. She mentions that her mother had been "looking for answers", and went through some big changes when she joined. According to Bree's father, she used to be introverted but became a "first to pick an argument" person after joining.

The Hymn of One has an official website at hymnofone.org, which was registered on March 31st, 2007 (prior to the release of Losing My Religion) and is hosted at lonelygirl15.com. At present the website contains very little information, but its in-game features may develop further over time.

Audition
In the video Sing With Me it was revealed that the Hymn of One was accepting applicants. On their web site at http://www.hymnofone.org/audition was a survey. The survey asks 20 questions to which the answers are strongly agree to strongly disagree and several essay questions. The applicant then receives a score about how compatible they are with The Hymn of One. The answers below yield the highest compatibility. The essay questions do not appear to effect the score.

First note from Mr. Zipp was delivered by a carrier pigeon. Maddison and Adam found the bird outside Maddison's door. The note was tied to the leg of the pigeon.
One side of the note said:
maddisonatkins@yahoo.com Login immediately. You will know the password

There was a message in the Morse code on the other side:
--... ....- / -.... .---- / -.... --... / ..--- ----- / -.... ..--- / -.... ..-. / --... --... / --... ...--

It translated to hex as:
74 61 67 20 62 6F 77 73

Hex translated to text as:
tag bows

"Tag bows" appeared to be anagram to "two bags".

It was unclear what this meant. However, Whiskey, Maddison's dog, helped to figured it out. Whiskey chewed the note a little and then Maddison noticed that there was some message inside the note as well. So "two bags" were supposed to mean that a note was "double bagged" and had a message inside too.

Message inside was:

In an Apple - In a Ruby - Under your elbows - Near the wall. 11(B)12 Hurry

It was solved as:
In an Apple - Big Apple
In a Ruby - Rue B bar
Under your elbows - under the table
Low E = 1 (a zero on the low E string). That is the lowest note you can play on a guitar without changing the tuning.
Counting up by half step, starting with the low E, each note ends up translating to a number between 1 and 24 (E=1, F=2, Gb=3, G=4, Ab=5, A=6, ...).

Whole tabulature translates to:
9 19 20 8 9 19 20 8 9 14 7 15 14 3 8 5 3 11 15 14 5
Each number matches up to a letter in the alphabet (1=a, 2=b, 3=c, up to 26=z). So the numbers translate to
Low E = 1 (a zero on the low E string).

In the video Jonas Sucks Daniel finds a package in their car. It includes a set of Nancy Drew books and a note from Tachyon. From the start, Daniel suspects that this package contains some kind of clue to guide them in figuring out the password to the encrypted disk Tachyon had left Bree.

Semiotics background
Semiotics is the study of signs and symbols, both individually and grouped in sign systems. It includes the study of how meaning is constructed and understood. It can represent a methodology for the analysis of texts regardless of modality, which is the particular way in which the information is to be encoded for presentation to humans. For these purposes, "text" is any message preserved in a form whose existence is independent of both sender and receiver. Naming the file "semiotics" could signify that the password to the file already exists in what Tachyon sent Daniel. In this way, Daniel and Tachyon need know nothing about each other to be able to communicate what the password is.

The note
Tachyon's note reads
xxxxxxxxxxx
Where it all started
the answer is before you
a subtle clue I Drew
xoxo,
T
yyy
When Daniel read the note aloud in Jonas Sucks he mentioned that it was a haiku. A haiku is a short poem consisting of three lines. It must have five syllables in the first line, seven syllables in the second line, and five in the third. Tachyon's note had five, seven, and six syllables respectively, so it was not actually a haiku. This proved to be significant when solving for the password of the file.

Another important feature of the note was the x's and y's written at the top and bottom of the message. On the top-left corner there were 11 x's, on the bottom-right 3 y's.

The Books
The package contained five books from the Nancy Drew series, including
*No. 7 The Clue in the Diary
*No. 10 Password to Larkspur Lane
*No. 19 The Quest of the Missing Map
*No. 52 The Secret of the Forgotton City
*No. 63 The Twin Dilemma (still no consensus on it, although it is the closest match)

The Nancy Drew series was created and outlined in detail in 1930 by Edward Stratemeyer, founder of the Stratemeyer Syndicate, which continued the series after his death.

The file
In the video description to Jonas Sucks, Daniel posted a link to the file, http://tinyurl.com/33s4w2. The file has been uploaded here. It is a password-protected .rar file named "53454d494f54494353.rar", which is hex for "SEMIOTICS".
The password
The note from Tachyon pointed to "where it all started" and capitalized "Drew" in "a subtle clue I Drew". This led to the first part of the password, which was "stratemeyer" because the Nancy Drew series was started by him. Stratemeyer is an 11-letter word--11 was also the amount of x's in the upper-left corner of the note. The number of y's on the bottom-right of the note was 3, so the second part of the password was 3 characters long.
Another "subtlety" in Tachyon's note led to the second part of the password. Daniel had incorrectly noted that it was composed like a haiku, with the numbers of syllables per line being 5,7,5, respectively. Her note actually had 5,7, and 6 syllables. These numbers, "576" were the second part of the password.

Password (case sensitive):stratemeyer576

Contents
The disk contained two images and a text file. These contents are explained in detail at Bree's disk.
About a week later, Daniel found a package in Jonas's car (video Jonas Sucks). The package contained Nancy Drew books and a note from Tachyon, leading to a puzzle that allowed Daniel to crack the file.

When unzipped, SEMIOTICS.rar yields a folder named "igel tsetop non tse mucearG". Backwards, its name is "Graecum est non potest legi", which is Latin for "It is Greek; it cannot be read." The folder contains three files.

LIGATURES
The first is named "4c4947415455524553" and has no extension. When translated from hex, its name is "LIGATURES". Adding the extension ".jpg" allows the file to be opened as an image.
Definition: In writing and typography a ligature occurs where two or more letter-forms are joined as a single glyph. Ligatures usually replace two sequential characters sharing common components, and are part of a more general class of glyphs called "contextual forms" where the specific shape of a letter depends on context such as surrounding letters or proximity to the end of a line.
AMALGAMATION
The second file is named "414d414c47414d4154494f4e" and also produces an image when the extension .jpg is added. Its name is "AMALGAMATION" in hex.
Definition: Amalgamation means to combine or unite into one form; the word has several uses, among them chemistry, mining, dentistry and mathematics (particularly group theory).
The third file is named "53454d414e54494b4f53", which is "SEMANTIKOS" when translated from hex. Adding the extension .txt allows the file to be opened as a text file, which reads
Translating from BASE64, the following message is obtained:
::The Theta is similar to an Egyptian symbol that represents the Sun, and the Mu was derived from the Egyptian hieroglyphic symbol for water. So the Sun equals Ra...and the water equals Naunet? Or maybe Poseidon? When combined this "watcher" symbol establishes that the Order rules and watches over all that exists in between.

::Theta is the 8th letter, Mu is the 12th. So that's one more 12, but the 8 = ?.

::Theta was also used as an abbreviation for "Thanatos," and considered a warning of death.

This message used to examine the images from LIGATURES and AMALGAMATION in the next section.

Definition of Semantikos: Semantikos is the Greek root of the English word semantics. Semantikos means giving signs, significant, symptomatic. It comes from the Greek sema, meaning sign.

The Symbols
AMALGAMATION

align=center|Watcher

Tachyon explains this image in her text file SEMANTIKOS (above). In that note she demonstrates how the "watcher" symbol is constructed with the Greek letters Theta and Mu.

Theta
Tachyon's note reveals that Theta is "similar to an Egyptian symbol that represents the Sun".
It also mentions that Theta could be representative of a warning of death.
Mu
Tachyon's note explains that Mu is "derived from the Egyptian hieroglyphic symbol representing water".

"Watcher"
Combining Theta and Mu creates the "watcher" symbol. The "watcher" symbol's meaning is also a combination of the respective meanings of Theta and Mu. Thus, Tachyon concludes that the "watcher" symbol "establishes that the Order rules and watches over all that exists in between [the sun and the sea]".

Note on numbers: The Semantikos file also makes mention of the numerical value of these letters--"Theta is the 8th letter, Mu is the 12th."--but currently no one is sure what this numbering would imply.

LIGATURES

align=center|Watcher

align=center|Omicron+Tau

align=center|Lambda+Sigma

align=center|Theta+Pi
The meanings of the symbols below have not been ascertained, but forum users believe that Tachyon intends us to deduce their meaning by breaking them into their Greek-letter components and studying each part.
"Watcher" (blurry)
Hybrid 1: Omicron + Tau
After decoding Tachyon's message to brother in the recent Dancing In The Dark puzzle, it has been suggested that what was assumed to be Omicron is actually a Phi.

Hybrid 2: Lambda + Sigma
Hybrid 3: Theta + Pi
After decoding Tachyon's message to brother in the recent Dancing In The Dark puzzle, it has been suggested that what was assumed to be Pi is actually a Nu, or possibly an Eta.

When Googled, Theta + Pi, Lambda + Sigma and Omicron + Tau all show different Fraternities. Weither that has any signifigance to understanding the symbols has not been determined.

How it plays out
After seeing the files, the meaning of the second set of symbols is unknown. Tachyon posts a profile update that leads to another puzzle. The note obtained from that puzzle shows that Tachyon herself is not sure what these symbols mean. It appears that this is the information that she stole from the OpAphid information gathering facilities and that she is still trying to figure out what it means.
In How Dumb Am I?, Bree discovers that there is some "artwork" in Jonas's cabin that looks like the Hybrid 3 (Theta+Pi) symbol. Not knowing exactly what the symbol means, she nevertheless links him to the Order and ties him up.

The Human Ransom is the one hundred thirtieth video in the lonelygirl15 video series.

Transcript
Starts of with scenes of a highway, scenery, and driving in a car.
A sign says "La Brea Ave, Hollywood"
Cuts to more driving
Camera zooms into glass building

(INT- Outside of elevator)

Jonas (offscreen):Sure you're ready for this?
Bree: "Daniel saved my life. It's the least I can do. Take care of him, okay?"

Elevator opens and reveals Daniel blindfolded with hands tied, accompanied by Lucy and three other men in sunglasses.

Cut to Daniel (still blindfolded) and Bree hugging.

Jonas: Bree, I….think they’re getting impatient.

Lucy moves to cover the camera
Bree is still hugging danieal

Cuts to Bree in elevator looking out with Lucy and the three other men looking down.
Door closes

Goes to black
Bree: Wait!! Stop!!

Reversed footage of what we just saw plays back.
Tachyon music kicks in as an Malaysia airplane lands at LAX and
‘Tachyon’ flashes ascoss the screen.

More footage of driving from presumably Brother’s point of view.

Shot has a black/blue and white tint to them)
Bree in elevator looking up.

(Normal color) Oil fields and more driving

(Shots now have a black/blue and white tint to them and are replaying what we just saw through Tachyons perspective through cameras stationed in the hall, similar to her previous video and Brother’s video)

(lower right corner- ATR – CAM 1)
Bree with Jonas as he is filming.

(lower right ELEVATOR NO. 2)
Inside the elevator with Lucy and men

(upper right ATR – CAM 2)
Doors opening with Daniel

(lower right ATR – CAM 3)
Same as last shot but at different angle and with Lucy in the frame.

(upper left ATR – CAM 4)
Front view of Daniel

(lower ATR – CAM 5)
View from the side of Bree hugging Daniel and whispering something
Cuts to facing bree to where we can clearly see she is saying something to him.

Cuts to a far away shot of them hugging and Lucy crosses in front of them to block the camera Jonas is holding.

(lower left ATR – CAM 1)
Bree looking out of elevator towards Jonas and Daniel

Cuts to shot of a close up of the camera Jonas is holding and we can see Bree through the display screen.

Cuts to door closing as Bree makes a sudden move forward. (thought to match up to when she says ‘Wait!! Stop!!’)

(lower right ATR – CAM 1)
Door closes. Jonas and Daniel are visible but Daniel now has his hands untied and the blindfold off.

(lower right ATR – GROUND 1)
Lower half of elevator door is seen closing as and object (a flash bomb) is thrown in from the right.
The word ‘flash’ appears in the upper left corner then fades

(lower left ATR – GROUND 2)
the word ‘bang’ does the same in the lower right corner.

Then quickly goes to black with the caption at the bottom in small white writing say,
‘for a girl who scored 112 the last time she went bowling, that’s an impressive shot!'

(upper right ELEVATOR NO. 2)
Inside the elevator and then there is a white flash from the bomb.

Cuts to black
Bree: Daniel? Daniel?!?! RUN!!!!!!

(Goes back to normal color)
(Stair well)

Bree pulling Daniel by the hand running up the stairs with Jonas behind with the camera

Jonas: Bree!?!
Bree: Go up the stairs
Jonas: Are you sure we can trust this guy? He’s not like…really her brother is he?

The group reaches the top flight where a ladder leads to the roof.

Bree: If she says we can trust him, we can trust him. I'll explain it to you later.

Bree starts climbing the ladder

Jonas: Go! Go! Go! Go!

He pans down the stairs where Lucy can be seen chasing after them.

Bree: Jonas, put down the camera...?(can’t be heard from all the noise)

(a helicopter can now be heard)

Bree continues climb as Jonas pans back.

Notes
* Co-creators Mesh Flinders and Miles Beckett have cameo appearances as Watchers. The third watcher may be Greg Goodfried wearing a fake beard.
* This is the first Crossover involving Tachyon directly in the series, although Daniel mentioned her in the video Homeless as the one who alerted him to the Order's tracking device in his car.
**the Malaysian plane seen is thought to be the one with Tachyon on it from Fiji
*Helicopters have been seen in other videos but always thought to be connected with the Order not Tachyon
* the reference to bowling a 112 comes from one of Tachyon’s drop videos, Knock 'Em Down, which took place at Sea Bowl in Pacifica, CA.

The group reaches the top flight where a latter leads to the roof.

Bree: If she says we can trust him, we can trust him.

Bree starts climbing the latter

Jonas: Go! Go! Go! Go!

He pans down the stairs where Lucy can be seen chasing after them.

Bree: Jonas…….?(can’t be heard from all the noise)

(a helicopter can no be heard)

Profile Update
Around 5:45am PST, Tachyon had a profile update, which read:

"Go that way, really fast. If something gets in your way, turn."

///

Lately, I am not having the easiest time with the situation i am in. But i can handle it, right? What other choice do I have?

///

Oh, and if you think you can beat Stalin (because he's a punk)... http://the-K12.redirectme.net/

And at the very bottom, under the 'About Me' section, was this:

d3c0d3 4 k3y / c0d3d 1n70 l337 5p34k 17 3qu4l5 'T

First Quote
"Go that way, really fast. If something gets in your way, turn."
Is from “Better Off Dead” (1985) –the same year that the movied from Tach’s last profile quote was produced. This movie, like “The Sure Thing,” also stars John Cusack.

The Leet Speak
The leet speak:
d3c0d3 4 k3y / c0d3d 1n70 l337 5p34k 17 3qu4l5 'T
Translates to:
decode a key / coded into leet speak it equals 'T

It is believed that perhaps the number '7' will be key for a code later on because 7 coded into leet speak is 'T.'

The Craigslist Post
The redirectme link brought us to yet another craiglist site:
Bagged like my favorite character in Mallrats. - w4m

After Mallrats, I finally watched that crap mid-90s movie on cable. The one you love with the dude from Dogstar.
I can't believe you actually spent your hard-earned money on something that awful! I am still going to keep quoting
that one line from the trailer though. Ask me how I do it, that's totally my answer!

If you check the page's source you get the following color codes and a hidden link:
cassandra hughes
u may b [roughly] 32186 kilometers away butt eye can c ya
SuperBoy fitty fo'

Mallrats Character
Tachyon was referring to TJ Quint (Played by Jeremy London in the movie)
Quint means five -- Tachyon was trying to tell us that this puzzle with be bagged five times. You can see that there are five different parts to the hex message from the craigslist posting. Each line is a clue that will tell you how to decode the message.

Cassandra Hughes
A character in a British show called "Hex".

Decode from Hex and proceed

poly[amorous] sub[missive]? [u wish!]
Poly-alphabetic substitution
32186km = 20000 miles
Similar to lyrics in an NSync song called “Digital Get Down.”

Digital language = Binary

Decode and proceed

turn it out go _ 36 34
Similar to a Rob Base song called “Turn it out (go 'base')”
Base 64

Decode and proceed

SuperBoy fitty fo
In the comic "SuperBoy," issue #54, a character called "Hex" is turned from a man to a woman.
Hexidecimal again
Decode and interpret

The Fake Picture
Within the craigslist page's source code, a hidden link was found:
http://www.snapdrive.net/files/229709/4U.jpg
If followed, this link led to a blank .jpg file named '4U'. This actually happened to be a RAR file, and within it was a file named "havefun."
It was encoded several times (hex then base64 then binary then hex where the letters were encoded with a Vingere cipher and finally ASCII), but the hex was finally discovered. It can be viewed here:
http://www.acidfingers.com/hosted/unknown_code-12-01.txt
Then, once that was decoded from Hex, a message was discovered:

That reversed is:

Once cleaned up (Thanks to sphinx), it comes out to be:

Did I ever tell you that as a child I always wanted to go to Disneyland? I would pester my parents, but they kept saying we couldn't travel that far "because of my sister's obligations." I hated her for that. I hated her so much.
I bet you know what that's like--in fact, I know you do. It keeps you awake at night, that anger that you can't let go of...all because someone drilled into your head a sense of inferiority.
It isn't that the other person is better than you. It's that the situation helps you convince yourself that they might be, and you’re deathly afraid that they are.
Knowing what you dealt with awhile back really helped me put things in perspective. It helped me make peace with that part of my past, because I realized that my sister was never the enemy. There are other people to blame for creating that situation, but I also blame myself for not even trying to do anything about it except act like a spoiled brat.
But your situation is different in many ways…it’s almost the opposite actually. Although from what you’ve told me, maturity was neither of your strong suits (so at least we have that in common). Still, I know that how it all played out left a really bad taste in your mouth that you’ll probably carry around for the rest of your adulthood (the same way I held onto mine to the point where it almost ruined what little childhood I could cling to).
And yes, you can at least feel better about blaming yourself for the mess you got yourself into because a lot of it was actually your fault. (I may suck at sympathy, but writing it out really does wonders for my own issues LOL).
However, there might be an opportunity for you to resolve some of these feelings that you are still carrying around, or at the very least maybe settle the score. I’ll tell you more about it in a few days, once I do a little more research, because I want to be absolutely sure--plus there's another pressing task at hand that needs to be dealt with, once and for all.
I don’t want to ruin the surprise, and you shouldn’t get your hopes up yet, but I will tell you this much: We’re not going on vacation and no one is going to Disneyland, but if what I suspect turns out to be true, well...it damn well proves that it’s a small world after all.

Tachyon updated her profile with the message: "OMFG. I need to find a better phone line."

When Tachyons phone ((213) 814-2839) was called, A message of jumbled up song clips is heard:
"so you've figured out my little mash-up, well done. Bad news is I can't get online still, I've spent forever on the phone with AOL tech support. she kept telling me to right click and I was like 'listen lady, I've written out the word click over 100 times now and it's still doing nothing how many more times do you want me to write it. she said maybe I don't have the right software and I was like look, I got the software brand new with double bags and everything. so she tried to redirect me to another line, what's up with that? worst of all though I think I’m going out of my mind, I’ve been to like 100 computer stores this week and none of them sell a keyboard or computer with an any key on it. I hope you're doing well, mom and dad said if you aren't back in a couple weeks I can keep your stuff."

Craigslists and Algebra
When the message is looked over… a certain line stands out from the rest…

So she tried to redirect me to another line. What's up with that? Worst of all though, I think I'm going out of my mind. I've been to like eight different computer stores this week. None of them even sell a computer or keyboard that has an "any" key on it.

The Craigslist post was titled: How could a righteous babe like you be lonely? - m4w

Love spreads her arms, waits there for the nails
I forgive you boy, I will prevail
Too much time to take, some cross to bear
I'm hiding in the trees with a picnic, she's over there
Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah
She didn't scream, she didn't make a sound
I forgive you boy, but don't leave town
Cold black skin, naked in the rain
Hammer flash in the lightning
They're hurting her again
Let me put you in the picture
Let me show you what I mean
The messiah is my sister
Ain't no king man she's my queen
I have a dream, I've seen the light
Don’t put it out, say she's alright
Yeah she's my sister...

To solve:
Pulled scource code
Hex to ASCII
Base64

A. Song #6: Count every instance where the number # in the title is mentioned.
B. Song #4: Count every *female* vocal mention of summer.
C. Song #10: Count the number of times there is a mention of "pull the trigger."
D. Song #2: Before the first time one hopes to fall from grace, add up the number of separate instances a male appears to issue a count-off.
E. Song #9: Total the number of things specified as being taken (taking quantity into account).
F. Song #8: Total the # of times her numerical worth is mentioned.
G. Song #9: Total # of instances that the # in this song's title is mentioned.
H. Song #3: Total every 2 that is mentioned, before it's time to get loose.
I. Song #3: Add up the 1's mentioned. Any 1 counts, but "ones" don't.
J. Song #7: # of times the song title is mentioned.
K. Song #5: Total the days of each year, as if the mention of each counts as a seperate loss. Take into account that there'd be two leap years. Days in bed never count as a loss. Each mention gains you an additional week. All combined, how many days are lost?
L. Song #6: Add up every number mentioned that is NOT the # in the title of the song.
M. Song #13: How many times is the title repeated in the song. And then? See title.
N. Song #12: "Might as well," how many times?
O. Song #11: Total the # of things music saves you from.
P. Song #1: The song's title is repeated how many times in the song?
Q. Song #3: Add 1 to the # mentioned in the song title. How many times is *that* # mentioned in the song?
All done with that part? Redirect to what we do if it's wack...

If it's wack...put it back

Hi, information?
I was wondering if you might be able to direct me to a store that sells a keyboard or computer that features an any key?
Well, I've been trying to install AOL but it keeps saying press "any" key but I don’t see an "any" key.

Oh, so you mean I can press any key.
They should really be a little more clear about this.

The videos on "brothers" youtube page are several months old, but the tags seemed to have had hexidecimal code in them. The hexidecimal translates into a set of anagrams:

When that sentence is put together, you get the URL:
Love spreads her arms, waits there for the nails
I forgive you boy, I will prevail
Too much time to take, some cross to bear
I'm hiding in the trees with a picnic, she's over there
Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah
She didn't scream, she didn't make a sound
I forgive you boy, but don't leave town
Cold black skin, naked in the rain
Hammer flash in the lightning
They're hurting her again
Let me put you in the picture
Let me show you what I mean
The messiah is my sister
Ain't no king man she's my queen
I have a dream, I've seen the light
Don’t put it out, say she's alright
Yeah she's my sister...

To solve:
Pulled scource code
Hex to ASCII
Q. Song #3: Add 1 to the # mentioned in the song title. How many times is *that* # mentioned in the song?
All done with that part? Redirect to what we do if it's wack...

*Beep*
“For my "Brother":
10033
The numbers 10033 have been solved as a youtube account.

The videos on "brothers" youtube page are several months old, but the tags seemed to have had hexidecimal code in them. The hexidecimal translates into a set of anagrams:

From 3-2-1 Contact, we have:
Which anagrams into:
CALLING CARD

From Sparks are flying, we have:
49 53 494e 56 4f 4944
Which translates into:
ISINVOID
Which anagrams into:
DIVISION (although we aren't completely sure about that right now. It makes the most sense.)

From Misdirected. Lost Visual in the Burn Out, we have:
