About The Gun is the one hundred seventy-third video in the lonelygirl15 video series.

Transcript
(Jonas is sitting in a parked car alone and talks straight to the camera.)

Jonas: Guess we're, uh, on our way back from Mexico. About the gun, um, it was the dumbest thing that I ever... (shakes head.) I acted imbalanced, you know. (Mumbles, then sighs and runs his hand through his hair.) Anyway, um, where did the gun come from? Uh... I stashed it under my seat, on the passenger side, when that watcher came to my house that day. It was my Dad's and, I don't know, it just made me feel safer to have it. I guess, in retrospect, not such a good idea. I watched the video and I don't even remember it, but I was... I was waving the gun at everyone. At Daniel. At Bree. I mean if I were... if I were to hurt one of them, I don't, I don't know what I would do. And I'm pissed. Pissed at Alex. I don't call her Aunt Alex. She's not Aunt Alex anymore. She's just Alex to me. And what she did was inexecusable and... unforgivable.
(Daniel and Alex are seen on a beach from a distance walking/dancing/running hand in hand)

Jonas: (speaking in a British accent off screen) Not two days we find out she's a good guy and he is all over 'er. (Bree laughs)

(Cut to Jonas and Bree sitting together apparently watching Daniel and Alex)

Jonas: Boom. It's disgusting. (now losing the accent) That felt like, it felt like a British moment. I'm not calling him uncle. I don't care if they have fifty, sixty kids; I am not calling him uncle. Now, seriously though, what you think? I mean, you, he's your friend too... is this not wrong?

Bree: I think it's fine. I mean he's a big boy and he can make his own decisions. I'm sure that his intentions are... honorable.

Jonas: Are you kidding me? Honorable!

Bree: -ish.

Jonas: There's nothing honorable going on over there.

Bree: You just need to find the right girl.

Jonas: Whoa... wait, we're not talking about me. I'm okay, trust me. We're talking about Aunt Fornicator down there.

Bree: (laughs) What?

Jonas: If they hook up it's going to be so awkward. Please don't. Ugh. Let's get outta here.

(Cut to Jonas and Bree walking down a street)

Jonas: So we left the lovebirds to their own devices, gross. (Bree laughs) And we decided to do a little exploring of old Mexico.

Bree: Yeah, stalking Alex and Daniel is not my idea of fun.

Jonas: Yeah, ummm I wasn't stalking them.

Bree: Okay, look you're paranoid. Just let whatever's gonna happen, happen.

Jonas: Oh, listen to you? When did you become the Zen Master?

Bree: That's right. I found my inner peace. (laughs)

Jonas: Yeah, well I got one thing to say to you on that one.

Bree: What?

Jonas: (speaks Spanish)
Bree: That is not Spanish.

Jonas: It's Spanish. It's a different dialect. (continues to speak Spanish)

Bree: That is not Spanish.

Jonas: It's so Spanish.

Bree: Oh no.

Jonas: (points to Mexican woman standing by the sidewalk) She understands exactly what I'm saying, right? (Bree laughs) See?

(Cut to Bree standing on a beach)

Bree: (wearing a sombrero) Okay, in an effort to cheer up Jonas, I have donned some of the local garb, and I'm now going to do a quick presentation of "Then and Now". A compare and contrast of our quaint little town in Mexico.

(Cut to Bree in front of the water of what we understand to be Rosarito Beach)

Bree: This is where the first residents lived. They were the Kumeyaay Indians and they called this place their home.

(Cut back to Bree in the sombrero)

Bree: These are some of today's residents. (Footage of people playing soccer on the beach is seen) I don't think they know what this place is called.

(Cut to Bree standing somewhere in the city)

Bree: Kumeyaay were absorbed by the Spanish missionaries who came here in the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries. They built many stone churches. (a church bell is seen) The Fransiscan monks who came to Rosarito beach had tremendous impact on the local Indian culture. They forced them to wear clothes, which they weren't accustomed to, and also trade up their tribal rituals for solemn prayer.

(Cut to Bree standing by a busy street)

Bree: As you can see, a lot has changed. I'm sure if you could ask the Kumeyaay Indians if they ever envisioned their sleepy little quiet town turning into this, they'd reach for the tequila and tell you, progress is progress (shrugs).

(More footage of people on the beach as well as in the city is seen)

Bree: (facing the camera at Jonas) What is it?

Jonas: I've just never seen you be sarcastic before, that's all.

Bree: That wasn't sarcastic, I was being genuine.

Jonas: Give me that. (Jonas takes the camera and points it at Bree) So, uh, what do you have against spring breakers, come on? Honestly?

Bree: Nothing. (shakes her head and smiles)

Jonas: Nothing? Say, say that with a straight face. I dare you. (Bree smiles and starts to walk away) I told you you can't say it. Say it.

Bree: Stop. (Jonas laughs) Nothing. (Jonas laughs again)

Notes
*This is the second time they explicitly mention their location while on the run. The other time was in Vegas, Baby! and they were abducted. Rosarito Beach, Baja, Mexico is located about 20 miles South of San Diego. Google Earth
*This is one of the few videos where Bree and Jonas spend alone time together. Other videos where they do this are Skateboarding and Snow Angels.
*The song "Have Fun Tonight" by Wang Chung can be heard in the background of the final scene.
Transcript

Bree: What is that?

Jonas: (continues to speak Spanish)

Bree: That is not Spanish.

Jonas: It's Spanish. It's a different dialect. (continues to speak Spanish)
(Daniel and Alex are seen on a beach from a distance walking hand in hand)

Jonas: (speaking in a British accent) Not two days we find out she's a good guy and he is all over 'er.

Bree: What is that?

Jonas: (continues to speak Spanish)

Bree: That is not Spanish.

Jonas: It's Spanish. It's a different dialect. (continues to speak Spanish)

*Apparently the "Spanish" that Jonas is speaking is gibberish and unintelligible.

I'm sure if you could ask the Kumeyaay Indians if they even envisioned their sleepy little quiet town turning into this, they'd reach for the tequila and tell you, progress is progress (shrugs).

(Daniel and Alex are seen on a beach from a distance walking hand in hand)

Jonas: (speaking in a British accent) Not two days we find out she's a good guy and he is all over 'er. (Bree laughs)

(Cut to Jonas and Bree sitting together apparently watching Daniel and Alex)

Jonas: Boom. It's disgusting. (now losing the accent) That felt like, it felt like a British moment. I'm not calling him uncle. I don't care if they have fifty, sixty kids I am not calling him uncle. Now, seriously though, what you think? I mean, you, he's your friend too,.. is this not wrong?

Bree: I think it's fine. I mean he's a big boy and he can make his own decisions. I'm sure that his intentions are... honorable-ish.

Bree: What is that?

Jonas: (continues to speak Spanish)

Bree: That is not Spanish.

Jonas: It's Spanish. It's a different dialect. (continues to speak Spanish)

Bree: What is that?

Jonas: (continues to speak Spanish)

Bree: That is not Spanish.

Jonas: It's Spanish. It's a different dialect. (continues to speak Spanish)

I'm sure if you could ask the Kumeyaay Indians if they even envisioned their sleepy little quiet town turning into this, they'd reach for the tequila and tell you, progress is progress (shrugs).

(Daniel and Alex are seen on a beach from a distance walking hand in hand)
(Cut to Jonas and Bree sitting together apparently watching Daniel and Alex)

Jonas: (speaking in a British accent) Not two days we find out she's a good guy and he is all over 'er. (Bree laughs) Boom.

Bree: What is that?

Jonas: (continues to speak Spanish)

Bree: Oh no.

Bree: What is that?

Jonas: (continues to speak Spanish)

Bree: That is not Spanish.

Jonas: It's Spanish. It's a different dialect. (continues to speak Spanish)

I'm sure if you could ask the Kumeyaay Indians if they even envisioned their sleepy little quiet town turning into this, they'd reach for the tequila and tell you, progress is progress (shrugs).

I'm sure if you could ask the Kumeyaay Indians if they even envisioned their sleepy little quiet town turning into this, they'd reach for the tequila and tell you, progress is progress (shrugs).

Transcript
Jonas: (speaking in a British accent) Not two days we find out she's a good guy and he is all over 'er. (Bree laughs) Boom.

Jonas: Are you kidding me? Honorable!

Bree: -ish.

Jonas: There's nothing honorable going on over there.

Bree: You just need to find the right girl.

Jonas: Whoa (can't tell), we're not talking about me.

Bree: What is that?

Jonas: (continues to speak Spanish)

Bree: That is not Spanish.

Jonas: It's Spanish. It's a different dialect. (continues to speak Spanish)
