Description
StormFaction is a YouTube account run by a user called Monark who proclaimes himself to be the leader of StormFaction. They began to post videos on the 10th August, 2007, a week after Bree's death.
In the first video named RESIST, the organisation simply states that the 'Fight Has Just Begun', though in the second video, Who We Are Monark claims that the Order took his family, his friends and turned him and the rest of the Faction into "Killers".
In StormFaction's third video, A Message, Monark leaves a message for "Jonas, Daniel, Spencer" and anyone else who "knows The Order". Monark also makes a statement addressed to the Order in which he states that "The War Has Begun" and that it's "Time To Take A Stand".

Monark and his men, including several unknowns named Echelon and Switch keep an up-to-date blog containing details of their operations and developments:

Timeline
* On August 9th 2007, StormFaction's YouTube account was set up and the first video, 'Resist' was posted.

* August 10th, 2007, StormFaction's second video 'Who We Are' was posted. It detailed why the organisation existed and that the Order had turned them 'into killers'. The third and henceforth final video was posted later that day, entitled 'A Message'. It was an open letter to 'Jonas, Daniel' and the Order and claimed that StormFaction was based in Ireland with links around the world. It also proclaimed that the 'war has begun'.

* August 11th 2007, Monark's blog was set up. In the first post he made allusions to the videos and that 'and the war against The Order is underway. The second post was put up later that day and Monark detailed that his two associates, namely Switch and Echelon, were planning to 'iniate Phase 1 as soon as possible'. Two external agents in Oxford by the names of Orion and Gemini seemed to have knowledge of LaRezisto, which Monark remarked was important. The third post was alo put up the same day. Monark alluded to the capture of LincD and Rachel by OpAphid. He mentions Wasp7, a supposed liason with LincD who was following OpAphid and planning to neutralise Rachel and LincD if the situation called for it.

*August 12th, 2007. Monark claims that Wasp7, Gemini and Orion have all gone offline and cannot be reached on 'any channels'. He mentions the 'Londonists', a supposed resistance group in England affiliated with StormFaction. Baron and Encore are also mentioned as resistance operatives in the 'North of Ireland'. Later that day, Monark posted a blog that claimed Wasp7 had been killed and his team in Seattle had been destroyed by the Order. Silver, Wasp7's second in command, supposedly left a voicemail message which read: "It's over for us, here. There was a bug. Be careful. Silver." Monark also alluded to KateModern by mentioning the Order was moving in on a trait positive girl in London. 'Phase 1' is iniated later that day when it is confirmed that Gemini is dead. Monark mentions later that the Order has gained the 'upper hand' and that his brother, 'Xarr' is on the run. The 'entire Resistance network on the Western European seabord' is reported as having gone offline.

*August 13th, 2007. Monark claims that the Order located their base and they were forced to burn all of their equipment and documents before Switch detonated a booby trap set for the Order. He claims he is posting from an internet cafe in Belfast and they have moved operations further north.

*August 14th, 2007. Monark makes the shortes post yet by stating 'We're alive. Just about.' Later that day, Monark confirms that they have made contact with Baron and Encore up North and they have tried contacting Gavin, Tariq and Kate but to no avail. He states that Bebo might provide some answers. Monark posts a few hours later, claiming that the Faction must go 'underground' for a few days to evade the Order and that the reader should make no move until LaRezisto says otherwise.

*August 18th, 2007. Monark claims that Kate is in danger but there is nothing he or his men can do to help her besides see what happens. They mention a trait positive girl as having been located in Ireland but cannot be contacted. He claims that he has gotten his hands on a nmber of weapons ans a substantial sum of money and a broadcast can be expected soon.

*September 7th, 2007, Monark and his men claimed the Order had discovered their identity and their location and cited Switch as the source of the information, having been a double agent.
Monark announced that he and his men were being forced to leave Ireland for fear of their lives and had left Echelon and Baron in charge of StormFaction which Monark proclaimed was now disbanded.
A little while after posting on his blog, Monark revealed his true name and history as Jack Doherty from Drogheda. Jack/Monark claimed that his sister was trait positive and had been killed by his parents who were members of the Order of Denderah and he subsequently killed his father and made contact with the resistance in Ireland. No posts have been made since the 7th, although on the 8th, StormFaction's Bebo account name changed from 'Monark O' to 'Echelon P' to signify the new command change. What remains of StormFaction and their efforts to stop the Order remains to be seen.

Location
Monark claims that StormFaction is based in Ireland and fights the Order there in Bree's name.
StormFaction claimes to have contacts in many different countries all over the globe, including the USA, UK, Japan and Australia to name a few. After they were discovered on Monday, August 13th, the Faction relocated to Belfast but have since disbanded to other parts of the globe as of midnight on September 7th. Echelon, Monark's right hand man, is now in charge of the remnants of StormFaction.

Crime Report

2007-10-30T20:49:58Z

159.145.15.101:

troccric
It has been noted that the characters in the Breeniverse, particularly Daniel, have a somewhat callous disregard for the law. Committing crimes is not necessarily wise, but posting them on the internet smacks of sheer stupidity. Not only do we have canon crime within the Breeniverse but we also have fan crime.

For the purposes of this table, it is assumed that the entire series takes place in California, although this is never explicitly stated.

* Burglary — In the video Following The Helper, Daniel breaks into Lucy's apartment. Burglary is usually considered a felony, even though Daniel stole nothing from Lucy's apartment. In the video Ransacked! whoever ransacks Bree's room, presumably OpAphid, also commits burglary. Daniel commits burglary once again when he enters Bree's house in the video Back At Bree's. In On The Road Again, Jonas breaks into his Aunt Alex's house. In Let's Play Doctor, Daniel steals confidential files from a hospital.

* Computer Hacking— In Let's Play Doctor Taylor hacks into a government database to obtain Julia's medical record.

* Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor

* Curfew violations — Bree was sentenced to house arrest after her parents discovered she had snuck out to go to a party.

* Driving without a license — In Learning To Drive Daniel takes Bree out driving in his car, even though she has never driven before and presumably has no license or learners permit. Driving without a license is a misdemeanor in California, and may be punished with probation, time in jail and $1,000 in fines. The car may be impounded.

* Evading arrest — In Let's Play Doctor Daniel runs away from a security guard who is chasing after him.

* Grand larceny — In the video Breaking And Entering, Daniel not only commits burglary by breaking into the warehouse, but he also removes a box of EPOGEN. Since EPOGEN is a fairly expensive drug, an entire box could be worth a large amount of money.

* Grand theft auto — In Bree's Gone, Jonas reveals that Bree has stolen his car.

* Hoboing — When Daniel hitches a ride on a freight train before the video Back Home he has committed the trademark offense of the hobo. Hoboing is a form of trespassing.

* Homicide — In The Unthinkable Happened members of the Order apparently shoot Bree's dad. That same day, Dr. Isaac Gilman was killed in a mysterious car crash; most likely another hit by the Order. In Gemma (Part V), Brother appears to assassinate Gemma. Interestingly, it may be Brother who commits the worse crime. Since his dislike of Gemma is motivated by her religious affiliation; the murder may also be a hate crime.

* Identity document forgery — In Hungover, Daniel reveals that he was in possession of a forged identity document which he used to illegally consume alcohol.

* Impersonating a Doctor— In Let's Play Doctor, Daniel dresses up as a doctor. This is illegal when you're willfully trying to mislead people into thinking that you are a doctor. Daniel does the same in The Mad Scientist.

* Kidnapping — In Psychological Torture (a "private" video) The Order kidnaps and presumably drugs Bree, Jonas, and Daniel. Later, in It's Not Kidnapping, BDJ kidnaps Jules in Texas.

* Stalking — In Who Is This?, Where Are They Going? and The Ceremony, Daniel pursues and videotapes Bree and Lucy even after Bree asks him to stop. However, since Daniel never threatened harm, it's likely that Bree could only request a restraining order.

* Statutory Rape — In both The Morning After and Bree And I Hooked Up, Jonas and Daniel respectively imply that they had sexual intercourse with Bree. Because Bree is underage, if either of these claims were true, then it would legally be a crime. Especially in the case of the former, in which Bree was hypnotized and therefore not under full control of her body, it would be an even worse crime because it was nonconsensual and/or forced. However, it is clear in Bree's video afterwards "Bree and I Hooked Up" that Daniel and Bree merely kissed, because Bree is angry that Daniel implied that he "did the walk of shame," and said that Daniel slept on the floor.

* Trespassing — In Lying Bastards, Daniel sneaks onto Alex's property and videotapes her talking on the phone.

* Underage drinking — (see: inebriated) In Truth Or Dare, Daniel consumes alcohol even though he is under the age of 21. Both Daniel and Jonas drink at the party in Uncle Dan. In Vegas, Baby!, the pair appear intoxicated together for the first time. Finally, Spring Break Sucks features the pair intoxicated together again but it could be argued that since they are in Mexico, they aren't really breaking the law.

* Illegal bearing of firearms: In the perfect beach Jonas brandishes a gun while in Mexico. Even though he may legally own and bear a gun in the US, in Mexico the buying/selling and bearing of firearms is illegal. It is only allowed to have at home with a special permit (which is extremely hard to get).

lonelygirl15 is a fictional video blog, that debuted on YouTube, under the guise of a "real" 16-year-old video blogger, named Bree. In "lonelygirl15"'s earliest videos, she posted video replies to and name-dropped popular YouTubers, which attracted the attention of their fans. Her video blogs eventually became popular in their own right, and attracted a massive following. To further the initial illusion that Bree was a real girl, a MySpace page was set up for her and she began meaningfully correspondence with many of her fans.

Her blogs quickly became very popular, but viewers grew suspicious that lonelygirl15 was not real. The question of whether or not she was real received a great deal of attention in the media, from late August to early September. Fans ultimately exposed lonelygirl15 as a fictitious character played by New Zealand actress Jessica Lee Rose. The Creators of the series were identified as Miles Beckett, Mesh Flinders, Greg Goodfried, and later, Amanda Goodfried.

The series is still running with new videos appearing regularly. Lonelygirl15 won the VH1 "Big in '06" award for Biggest Download, and remains the second most-subscribed channel on YouTube, with over 100,000 subscribers as of August 2007.

Theme and plot
:Main article: The Story So Far...

In the beginning, Bree's videos were similar to those of many other popular vloggers on YouTube. She would make brief videos out of her bedroom about her life, her best friend Daniel, and her conflicts with her parents.

Bree was homeschooled and lonely. Her only friend, who introduced her to YouTube and video editing, was Daniel, whom she met during a brief stint in public school two years earlier. Daniel had a crush on Bree, but Bree's parents wouldn't let her out of the house, and these tensions were behind many of the early videos.

Eventually, it was revealed that Bree was a member of a secretive religion, originally believed to be Thelema but later recognized as the fictional Hymn of One. Bree was selected to participate in a mysterious ceremony for the religion, but eventually ran away from home rather than participate.

Around the time Bree ran away, another character was introduced, an old friend named Gemma. Gemma made video responses in which she offered advice to Bree. However, it was eventually revealed that Gemma was working for the Order and attempting to coerce Bree into participating in the ceremony.

Bree and Daniel lived on the streets for a while, in order to escape the Order. Eventually, a character named Jonas, a rich orphan, offered Bree and Daniel a place to stay. The characters lived with Jonas until the Order tracked them down.

The show gradually abandoned its premise of being a highly-realistic story about a young vlogger. Many members of Bree's religion appear to be evil, going so far as to subject Bree to frequent injections of an unknown substance. Recent plot developments have included the murder of Bree's father, and the revelation that Bree was adopted.
Revelations of fictionality
Initial speculation
Fans of lonelygirl15âs video posts quickly began to wonder if Bree was, in fact, a real person or if the posts were part of a teaser campaign for a television show or an upcoming movie. Others felt that the blog might be part of an alternate reality game.

Fans pointed to small inconsistencies within the videos as evidence that the story might not be genuine.

* The website lonelygirl15.com, supposedly created by a fan named Bukanator, was registered in May 2006, several weeks prior to Bree actually uploading her first video.

* Bree had several fights with Daniel on webcam. It seemed unlikely a girl who just endured real fights with her only friend would upload those fights to YouTube.

* The appearance of Aleister Crowley on Bree's bedroom wall seemed improbable.

* The lighting, along with other cinematic elements, also seemed improbable.

Media reports of fictionality
* Richard Rushfield of The Los Angeles Times reported in an article dated September 8, 2006, that three lonelygirl15 fans - Shaina Wedmedyk, Chris Patterson, and an anonymous law student (these three fans are known as the Phorum 3) - set up a sting operation using IP address tracking software that showed that e-mails sent from a lonelygirl15 MySpace account were traced to the offices of Creative Artists Agency, a powerful Hollywood talent agency based in Beverly Hills.

* On Sept. 11 a commenter on the website TMZ.com said that he recognized Bree, and posted a link to her MySpace account. At 1:41 a.m. Sept. 12, members of The Children of Anchor Cove used Google cache to discover that the account belonged to New Zealand actress Jessica Lee Rose. Several other blogs quickly uncovered cached photos of Jessica Lee Rose and took credit for her discovery.

* Virginia Heffernan of The New York Times, on September 12, confirmed that the Creators of the series are represented by CAA and that CAA was one of several locations used by the Creators of the series to send emails from lonelygirl15 accounts. She identified Miles Beckett and Mesh Flinders as the Creators of the project. One main source for her story was Grant Steinfeld.

* The Los Angeles Times, on September 13th, featured the first interview with the Creators of lonelygirl15, confirming the link between the Creators and the CAA. This story also identified Greg Goodfried as one of the Creators.
