Sorry Jay, but I really disagree with Buka's status as a "character". He purported to be an online fan who had no connection to Bree & Daniel any larger than any of us, except that he gets to run their fan site. Therefore if he's a character in LG, we all are. While he deserves a page, because his ineptness as forum admin led to the Anchor Cove secession and he was in a sense a bridge between the creators and the fans, he was not a part of the story at all. Also he can't be called an unseen character because by my definition (and I think a legitimate one), unseen characters only deserve that title if they've been mentioned in a video. Bukanator was never supposed to be part of the story, and he was never going to be seen on camera because he was not in their world. He was just a fan like all of us and therefore never a part of the story.

I don't see any mention of Andriy Bukatar in this article. Bukatar is an associate of Grant Steinfeld's AgentIdea company (see http://www.agentidea.com/people/index.html). He's a web designer and is likely the real identity of Bukanator. Note that name similarity.

The Children of Anchor Cove board is essentially dead now, with a trivial amount of traffic compared to the LG official board. This article should be updated to match.

Traffic is not the evening standard by which the health of internet communities is measured. The article is fine as it stands.

Do we know when Grant left the project for sure? In the initial YT comments announcing the birth of the lonelygirl15.com fansite and forums, on July 16, 2006, bukanator refers to "aishapuppy", which is Grant's dog. I doubt that the rest of the Creators would have included such details. That leads me to believe that Grant left the project shortly after the website was outed as being registered back on May 12, 2006.

This debut was announced and promoted through links and comments on both the lonelygirl15 and the danielbeast YouTube accounts. By mid-July, however fans had discovered that the domain had in fact been purchased in May, a full month before [[Bree]] started her vlogs. For the first time, the LG15 fan site quickly found itself at the eye of a storm of suspicion. When the domain registration discrepancy was revealed by fans, "Bukanator" claimed that Daniel had actually registered the website as a joke (reasons for this have been given as either because Daniel told Bree if she ever started blogging he bet she'd become famous and would need a fan site, or that Daniel registered the site because Bree bragged if she were to ever upload vblogs to youtube she'd become famous). While "Daniel" had supposedly registered lonelygirl15.com, at that time had no real plans of using it, so the story went that "Bukanator" e-mailed him asking permission to make a fan site and Daniel handed the already registered one over to be developed.

Following Steinfeld's departure and the subsequent mystery over the site's evolution, lonelygirl15.com remained almost completely stagnant. "Bukanator" would upload the videos, but with virtually no additional promotion of the site or its [[phorum|forum]] (which were silent) almost no one ever went to it. Finally a few core fans began talking at the forums and eventually a community was built up there, though none of this had anything to do with actions on the site administrator's part -- in fact, "Bukanator" was widely criticized by the fans at the forum for being a poor moderator. They made many pleas for improvements to the site and especially the forum, and despite the occasional promise he'd do something about it, the site's moderator never took any action. Frustration eventually led a group of fans to create and move to an alternate fan site, [[The Children of Anchor Cove]], and virtually all forum members joined it, leaving the official forum near silent once again.

In the video, Bree asks Daniel about the fate of a girl she knew from high school. Daniel says he doesn't remember this girl. Bree unsuccessfully tries to spark his memory, and then says she used to walk the track with her and that other kids were mean to Cassie. The last scene contained a somber tone that contrasts with the rest of the video, which was lighthearted and intimate.

(2) The unveiling of lonelygirl15 as an interactive multimedia production [http://lonelygirl15.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=36] and not a real video blog on September 7, 2006. The YouTube page for the first cassieiswatching video, [[This Is My Story Now]], contains the tags "bree" "tells" "lies" in reference to the news that lonelygirl15 is not real. The video ends with a voice saying "come and get it," commonly interpreted as an invitation to lonelygirl15 viewers to participate in an alternate reality game.

The game has leveraged the use of multimedia and interactive content to generate clues for the participants. Clues have been discovered in two videos, an altered Bible page, a voicemail message and several puzzles using morse code and anagrams.

Next, several still images are shown which includes two pictures of Bree from the [[In The Park]] video, dated September 14, 2006, a crime scene photo of the bodies of Sharon Tate and Jay Sebring as committed by the Manson Family members, another Manson Family crime photo from the LaBianca murder scene with "Healter Skelter" misspelled in blood on the refrigerator door, and several pictures of the park where the [[In The Park]] video was filmed (including a picture of clue #4). A loud scream is included with the still images. Then, the camera moves through the park at high speed to the location where Bree was waiting for Daniel in the [[In The Park]] video. Simultaneously, it plays audio of the Beatles song "Helter Skelter" at high speed (which includes the 'loud scream' previously mentioned) and U2's Bono saying "Charles Manson stole this from the Beatles, now were taking it back." in reference to the same song. The video suggests, that Cassie was in the park while Bree waited for Daniel, unbeknownst to either of them. The images shot in Cassie's video is taken from a different location than when Daniel was "spying" on Bree before meeting up with her in the park.

The video is heavily edited like the [[This Is My Story Now]] video but contains an ominous overtone due to the inverted color images, reversed audio, Tate-LaBianca crime scene photos and the 'scream'.

Daniel could be lying, which would alter the interpretation of the mystery, but there is no reason to believe he is withholding information from Bree. This has caused two lines of speculation: (1) Cassie disappeared due to foul play, possibly related to a cult (as many victims of cults are loners seeking acceptance from others), or (2) Bree has a split personality and Cassie is the other half.

In the '''My Helper''' video, Bree says the following:

The video consists of [[inverted]] video, image "splash frames", and a reversed audio track. It begins with two birds in slow motion with a person saying "I was here" in reverse. Next, several still images are shown which includes two pictures of Bree from the [[In The Park]] video, dated September 14, 2006, a crime scene photo of the bodies of Sharon Tate and Jay Sebring as committed by the Manson Family members, another Manson Family crime photo from the LaBianca murder scene with "Healter Skelter" misspelled in blood on the refrigerator door, and several pictures of the park where the [[In The Park]] video was filmed (including a picture of clue #4). A loud scream is included with the still images. Then, the camera moves through the park at high speed to the location where Bree was waiting for Daniel in the [[In The Park]] video. Adaptation of the Cassie character by cassieiswatching is increasingly divergent from the Cassie character referenced in the lonelygirl15 videos:

- cassieiswatching appears to be stalking the Bree character, however neither Bree nor Daniel have been aware of the whereabounts of Cassie for a year or longer.

- cassieiswatching has never suggested Bree will die, and there is no evidence of a life-threatening situation in the lonelygirl15 videos. Some followers have, however, theorized that cassieiswatching is suggesting that the upcoming 'ceremony' for Bree's religion may involve her sacrifice.However, now that the ceremony is over in the LG15 series, and Bree is in fact still alive, the Cassie character's story may in fact change too.

The last scene contained a somber tone that contrasts with the rest of the video, which was lighthearted and intimate.

The YouTube page for the first cassieiswatching video, [[This Is My Story Now]], contains the tags "bree" "tells" "lies" in reference to the news that lonelygirl15 is not real. The video ends with a voice saying "come and get it," commonly interpreted as an invitation to lonelygirl15 viewers to participate in an alternate reality game.

The game has leveraged the use of multimedia and interactive content to generate clues for the participants. Clues have been discovered in two videos, an altered Bible page, a voicemail message and several puzzles using morse code and anagrams.

The video consists of [[inverted]] video, image "splash frames", and a reversed audio track. It begins with two birds in slow motion with a person saying "I was here" in reverse. Next, several still images are shown which includes two pictures of Bree from the [[In The Park]] video, dated September 14, 2006, a crime scene photo of the bodies of Sharon Tate and Jay Sebring as committed by the Manson Family members, another Manson Family crime photo from the LaBianca murder scene with "Healter Skelter" misspelled in blood on the refrigerator door, and several pictures of the park where the [[In The Park]] video was filmed (including a picture of clue #4). A loud scream is included with the still images. Then, the camera moves through the park at high speed to the location where Bree was waiting for Daniel in the [[In The Park]] video. Simultaneously, it plays audio of the Beatles song "Helter Skelter" at high speed (which includes the 'loud scream' previously mentioned) and U2's Bono saying "Charles Manson stole this from the Beatles, now were taking it back." in reference to the same song. Daniel could be lying, which would alter the interpretation of the mystery, but there is no reason to believe he is withholding information from Bree. This has caused two lines of speculation: (1) Cassie disappeared due to foul play, possibly related to a cult (as many victims of cults are loners seeking acceptance from others), or (2) Bree has a split personality and Cassie is the other half.

Immant is a YouTube user that posted two videos before the ceremony that appear to be addressed to [[Bree]]. In the videos, he praises the addressee for her commitment to the "Order".

It is not known at this time whether this is a fan video or an official part of the [[Breeniverse]], but in the video [[See you at the ceremony...]] he seems to be claiming he will be at [[Bree's ritual|Bree's ceremony]], and is shown wearing similar attire to the people in the video [[The Ceremony]], before it came out. Also, in [[The Ceremony]], [[Daniel]] films a bald man who perhaps bears some resemblance to Immant, but Immant claims in his "[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kQlcRkSDc8c We do not wish to make enemies, only friends.]" video that while he was at the ceremony, he does not believe that he was spotted there by anyone. Since the [[Denderah|Order of Denderah]] seems to be aware of Daniel's presence at the ceremony, they probably know about the video he took and who does and does not appear in it.

On his blog, Immant mentions his acting experience. He is from New York state, making it less likely he was actually in Los Angeles to appear in the video.

In Immant's earlier videos, he used a protected mark of the religious organization OTO. His response to fan requests to remove the symbol has been reported as gracious and accomodating.

'''Bukanator''' was the pseudonym of a [[Lonelygirl15 (production)|Lonelygirl15]] fan who posted comments to her vblogs on [[YouTube]] and ran the [http://www.lonelygirl15.com/ lonelygirl15.com] website and forum as a fan site. He was played briefly by [[Grant Steinfeld]].

The character of Bukantor was supposed to appear like a regular fan; however, when it was discovered this "fan site" was actually created a month before [[Bree]] started her vlogs, the Bukanator fan site quickly found itself at the eye of a storm of suspicion. When this discrepancy was noted, the character of Bukanator claimed that Daniel had actually registered the website as a joke (reasons for this have been given as either because Daniel told Bree if she ever started blogging he bet she'd become famous and would need a fan site, or that Daniel registered the site because Bree bragged if she were to ever upload vblogs to youtube she'd become famous). While Daniel had registered lonelygirl15.com, but had no plan of using it, so the story went that Bukanator e-mailed him asking permission to make a fan site and Daniel handed the already registered one over to Bukanator.

Bukanator claimed to be a Web designer with an interest in photography. Under his watch, lonelygirl15.com remained almost completely stagnant. He would upload the videos, but with virtually no promotion of the site or its forum (which were silent) almost no one ever went to it. Finally a few core fans began talking at the forums and eventually a community was built up there, though none of this had anything to do with actions on Bukanator's part. In fact, he was widely criticized by the fans at the forum for being a poor moderator. They made many pleas for improvements to the site and especially the forum, and despite the occassional promise he'd do something about it, Bukanator never actually did anything. Frustration with his site eventually led a group of fans to create and move to an alternate fan site, [[The Children of Anchor Cove]], and virtually all forum members joined it, leaving the official forum near silent once again.

The character of Bukanator continued to operate the board well after Steinfeld's exit from the project sometime in July 2006. It is unknown who was moderating at the board in his absence.

I understand the reasons for the policy regarding only posting Revver videos. I feel, however, that if this is to be a good wiki, we should at least always provide a link to YouTube as well. For several reasons: 1) Thoroughness is preferable. 2) Some browsers, especially on computers where the user does not have admin privileges (such as younger fans or people at work) and can't install different software, do not support the file format of Revver. But it's not productive to keep deleting and undeleting his name from the main page. :I think it should be an open, not private, discussion. It seems to me that it's a problem because of Bukanator's strange status within the [[Breeniverse]]. He is a creation of [[The Creators]] and lonelygirl15 and Danielbeast both acknowledged him, and his administration of the fansite, in the comments of YouTube, thus he is a character. Comments from the YouTube accounts are canon, thus he is canon. So he's a canon unseen character. I think you could make the case that a better classification could be used than "unseen," but rather than add a category that's only Bukanator, I think we should leave him as an unseen character, and explain his story fully in his article--[[User:JayHenry|JayHenry]] 09:19, 8 October 2006 (PDT)

Of course lg15 and db "acknowledged" Buka, there is no question that he is "canon" and not a cassie spin-off character. What I'm saying is whether he is a character in the integral story line. For example in the Cookie movie some people that sent in suggestions were mentioned. Winekone and Brookers, etc. have been mentioned in the videos as well. Buka has not. Does that mean these random people are "unseen" characters too, just because Bree has mentioned them? No, Winekone nor Buka (as of right now) have not done anything to be a "part" of the story, and therefore not a character. If things had gone according to plan, we all would have thought Buka to just be some random fan who made a site like all the rest of us and there wouldn't even be a discussion as to whether he's a character to the plot or not. Remember, every page ever doesn't need a special place on the main page. I wouldn't be opposed to Buka being somewhere (a crew section, perhaps, as he is a "crew" member of sorts), but we can't confuse running the tribute site with being a character in the story! I can tell you right now a "bukanator" will never drop by in the videos ever, so why put him in a pantheon with Paul, Andrea, Bree's mom..., who one day could? If the "storyline" is perceived as being Bree and Daniel *and the response building up around them on the internet,* then any entity confirmed to have been invented by Miles/Mesh/Greg is just as valid a character as Daniel and Bree and Lucy are. If it is invalid to list Boris Bukanator as a character, although he comes from the Creators, why do we accept the tutle's name as "Owen," when that didn't come from the Creators? :It depends what you mean by storyline. Buka's not integral to the storyline if you mean the storyline of Daniel and Bree as written by [[Mesh Flinders|Mesh]]. But he ''is'' integral to the storyline of how the [[Lonelygirl15 production]] played out in the real world. Buka's fan site is integral to the production -- his fan site is still the hub of the LG15 community. I would argue that Winekone and Brookers and SteveXCraig are not characters because they're real people. Bukanator is, quite literally, a "character." Maybe we should make a separate category for him, other than "Unseen Characters," but I don't see anything that merits him being bumped off the main page. I agree Buka can be on the main page, just not in the "unseen characters" section. Unseen characters section should refer to those who have a chance of showing up and are in "Bree's" world. I think Bukanator, as he "acts" as a staff member, despite being just a character should be listed in the staff section. That way he is on the main page as desired but not listed as a character in the videos' story line.
I think that is an acceptable compromise. What is NOT acceptable is me just having to remove a "Boris Bukatar" as an unseen story character when he is ALREADY listed in the staff section. No matter what Bukanator and Boris Bukatar are completely one-in-the-same and there is NO reason to list him twice like that, nor to give Boris a page seperate from his on-line name Bukanator. Does anyone else but me think there should be not just an index for the videos as a whole but a separate index for the lonelygirl15 videos and the danielbeast videos? That is to say that while [[Daniel Responds]] is episode "0007", it might also be referred to as video "D001", and episode "0011" [[Boy Problems...]] could also be "B010"?
