This is hard to answer. I would not try to force my views on anyone, but I would try to stay open minded. However, I can't see it being logical if the person is depressed or had an illness that wasn't terminal. I may understand WHY they want that option, but it wouldnt' mean I would encourage them in that option, but rather try to explore all options. However, in terminal illnesses...I'm mixed. In a way I feel that a person should be able to decide their time and method of passing. If there is no hope, that person should be able to go peacefully and in as little pain as possible, rather than langor out their illness until the inevitable.

Please explain in your own words how you feel about euthanasia and why. Personally, I think it should be legal/available to those who are suffering from terminal illness...and maybe even illnesses that are incurable or cause you to slowly deteriorate which are not neccessarily labeled "terminal". I think it should be the choice of the individual, not the government...the same way I feel about abortion.

I am against Euthanasia in
most cases.
Doctors can't tell you if you're going to live or not. So I'm not goiing to base my judgement on a doctors opinion.
I was born prematurally and that doctor said I was going to die. I'm alive. Hmh.
If you're at that point that you can't take any psychical pain anymore, then I am mildy for it. Some pain is just to unbearable. But that's on your take, not you're doctors.

Please explain in your own words how you feel about euthanasia and why.
I feel that euthanasia is a personal choice. If a person chooses to end their life, it is not the responsibility of others to decide whether or not they have that right, but you do have the right to counsel them against it and tell them how you feel, especially if they are a close friend or family member. It's understandable that someone who is in a lot of pain and suffering from a terminal illness could consider euthanasia. Afterall, I'm sure that people in that situation feel very pessimistic about their time left, as they probably should if they can not enjoy it. Someone in this situation might choose to take euthanasia. However, someone who is not suffering from a terminal illness or simply from depression should not take euthanasia because their pain is only temporary or may, perhaps, be remedied either now or in the future.
In the end, however, it's up to the patient, and unless it is deemed that they are not mentally sound enough to make their own decision, it should remain their choice only.
