I sent him a coded message to test him out-of-game (if the account is run by the PM, he should figure it out almost instantly; if it's not, it might pose a bit of trouble), and to ask for more information about the vials in-game. I'll keep you guys posted if I get any replies.

I infer this to mean: "The information you seek will be forthcoming at the appropriate time on a need-to-know basis."

Obviously, some of the letters are missing. Anyone have any ideas on how this came about? My mistake? A new kind of cipher shift?


Note: This message is coded in the same manner as the message that I sent him (besides decoding into half-gibberish at the end).

EDIT: Using "storm" as a key gives the appropriate message. Double-checking my work...

Yeah I did the same thing independently and i still got "STOVE" instead of "STORM." Man this is just like the old days...

My theories by me:

a) TJ19 is going to announce that he discovered we were compromised, he's had to go into hiding, new channels of communication are being set up, etc.

b) It's not really the same TJ19.

If we wanted to, we could try testing to see if it's the same chap, by using a shared secret (e.g. if we can find a message one of us sent to him that didn't go to the board) and use it as a passphrase for an encrypted message. Of course, he might reply something like "The old accounts have been compromised, I can't safely access them," or some such plausible ducking-the-subject.

I don't think J19 is the same as travelerj19. the profile info is different, and j19 seems to have a different out look on what walter is doing now.

I'm glad there is some action going on!!

The shoddy camera work and lack of sound makes me kind of wary of a gamejack. The vial looks right, though (although these vials are very common in labs).

Interesting note: 00418 is a tag; this fits with the fact (noticed by deagol) that "storm" and "stove" are +4 and +18 letters shifted in the fourth and fifth letter positions, respectively. Did anyone mention this on the forum previously?
