The message is as follows: since the messenger said that 2 down was his fave, i took the second letter of each first word in a sentence.

It translates to this...

"The false hope in Texas, Jules, is a ruse".

At least that's how I think the punctuation is.

This message makes it sound like you might very well be on the wrong track by following Jules, Bree.

ETA: Yep, I checked her myspace. Jules is listed as from Texas as well. This can't be a coincidence... or can it?

Oh, don't go underestimating coincidence. There actually is an artifact from the civil war (probably in the Smithsonian) of two bullets that met in mid air. Now THAT's a coincidence!
