Today's topic is: "The Perfect Beach" video

Hmmm... lots to talk about here (particularly after the "disappearance" of OpAphid, Tachyon and Brother ), so I'll take it one part at a time.

1. When they were playing on the beach, did Daniel actually carry Alex around for a few moments?!? Seems like love to me...

2. Alex apparently mentions she has memories of the beach. Could she have gone here with her Hymn of One/Order mother or Jonas's dad (her brother)?

3. Why did Lucy (you can see her if you look carefully) and some other Orderites come for Alex and not Bree, and why has Bree apparently been replaced?

1 and 2 are obviously completely speculative (so tell me what you think ), but for 3 I have an opinion for.

It is possible that the Order has given up trying to get Bree via OpAphid and is just going to do the ceremony with a willing substitute and Alex has been "recalled" or is going to face the Order's judgment (possible but not very likely).

It is also possible that Alex is being pulled back by the Order to split Daniel from the trio and get him captured again, which would then cause:
A. An argument between Bree and Jonas over getting Daniel back causing them to split and thus leaving Bree an easy target or
B. "Human Ransom 2" or
C. Bree simply gives herself up after Daniel is captured and tortured to protect him.
(I think this is a little more likely, and in any case the "new girl" thing is a ruse)

People have also mentioned "triggers" put in Daniel by the Order the first time he was held. Maybe he falling in love with Alex was supposed to be the trigger, even though she doesn't fully want to do it because of Jonas?

In any case, lots to talk about. So have at it!

What about Jonas sticking a gun in DB's face? Maybe they'll just hug it out, high five it and go out for foosball.

These kids really bounce back well from stuff like tying each other up and pointing guns in faces and taking one's love interest on "Snow Angel" hikes.

Oh, well, I guess the Order is the bigger enemy, so they have to stick it out together.

I think Alex may be being coerced into doing things against her will. However, the extent of psychological torture she imposed on Jonas and Bree in her speech at the end of "Alex is..." does give me reason for pause. She did not appear to be under duress; in fact, she appeared to enjoying inflicting that excruciating pain on Jonas.

Ah, Jonas and DB will be fine. They'll beat the hell outta each other and grab a round of beers together.

Ha ha ha. Have you ever seen "Ed TV" (great comedy, BTW)? In it the brothers (Matthew Macaunahey (sp?) and Woody Harrelson) look like they are going to go to serious fistacuffs, and then suddenly they just start laughing and hug. It was cute.

I hope Daniel rips Jonas up if they do fight. He deserves it for pointing that gun in DB's face.

Oh, yeah, forgot about the gun.

I think that was just things were really tense when the car pulled up and Jonas was trying to protect Bree... it just happened to turn into a yelling match. I do hope though that Danny Beast realizes that Jonas was only trying to protect Bree.

I can't blame Jonas for putting the gun on Daniel... Daniel has always had feelings for Alex: he's not thinking with his head when it comes to her. Things are so insane that Jonas has every right to have a gun because he can't trust anybody.

Alex pretty much chose the Order over her family/Jonas after her mother died. She can't be trusted, she can't be given sympathy...

I think he's using it at least as much as Jonas was.

He doesn't have every right to have one without letting his friends know. Not if he expects them to trust him.

Actually, if she was reacting to her mother's death, arguably she didn't care about the Order and was choosing her family. In any case, if Jonas gets a "get out of jail free" card for almost plugging Daniel, then Alex has got to be given a little bit of consideration for her emotions at that time.

Would that make you any better than your enemies? Sure, you might be alive, but what's the point if you can't express compassion?

Daniel was cowering at first when Jonas pointed the gun at him, and then he got brave, and said, "No", and pushed him away. I've never been prouder of DB than I was at that moment.
