Daniel and future drinking

OK, I know we all think Daniel is a riot when he's drunk, but I'm concerned.

Many heavy drinkers start out as happy drinks, and as they get deeper into the addiction they become abusive drunks.

I'm worried.

Me too. Especially since there is an evil organization with almost unlimited resources chasing them.

That definitely worries me too...The disturbing thing is that I can actually see Daniel becoming an abusive drunk in the future...

I think all we can do is hope that if his drinking gets to be too much of a problem, and if his behavior gets too severe that Jonas and Bree will try to pull him out of it.

Speaking of Jonas, he said that he was a heavy drinker at one time, and that he had done things that he didn't remember at Pins and Pints that were embarrassing. I think they are going to pull each other down.

 That makes so much sense, but I don't want it to happen!

Me neither! But I can definitely see it happening. The boys seem to be heading down this path, that's for certain.

Jonas hasn't been as drunk as he was in Vegas since he entered the show. That worries me too. He was once a big drinker, and it's easier to fall into abusive drinking if you were already an abuser. More importantly, he might be feeling intense emotions since Aunt Alex's little speech, and sorrow-drowning is not going to make him much happier. :?

I am just as concerned about Daniel, of course. His parents were alcoholics, and alcoholism can be hereditary. While plenty of children of alcoholics can drink responsibly (trying not to make anyone mad here..), it is generally accepted as truth that a descendant of an alcoholic is more prone to alcoholism than others.

Bree and Tachyon might end up saving these two goons from the Order more than once.

He didn't appear that drunk to me. While he stumbled into Bree, there was no slurring when he spoke of the columns at Caesar's palace.

I usually think Jackson's acting is great, but not this time.

that would be something...sad and funny at the same time.

I think he tolerates it better than Daniel. But he was definitely drunker than ever before. He laughed pretty strangely (although it was cute lol) and when he was the Caesar's palace thing was kind of random.

Hey, when it comes to trying to predict the storyline, I tell it like it is. I love DB, but he isn't without character flaws, just like Jonas isn't without character flaws.

I don't think Daniel is funny when he drinks. *shakes head*

Ahhh you and Jonas. will you ever make peace?

Anyway I agree with you Juli (like always). I love Beastie to death, but a character needs his weaknesses, and seeing a darker side of Daniel would be nice, in my opinion. As long as he doesn't go crazy and hurt somebody...like Jonas.
