I'm not sure if this is the correct place for this but lately, I will be cruising the forums and then all of a sudden I am logged out and have to log back in. It will happen at random times and it's a big hassle. some help please?!

thats usually caused by your computer automatically cleaning out th cookies/cache.

I'm not really sure what would solve this, other then manually cleaning it out yourself on a daily basis.

(at least this is what I've found with my computer)

Excellent suggestion, Kelly!

To me, it does sound like a problem with your computer, and not the site itself. If Kelly's fantastic suggestion doesn't do the trick, I'd send a PM to the moderator wintermute. He is the self-admitted geek here, and probably knows more.

This has been happening to me, as well. I cleared out my cookies, and yep, it's still happening.

Usually happens when I am trying to post something, which is very frustrating!

I answered Chelseyrl via PM, but I'll post what I told her here as well. In her case, she's running Google Web Accelerator, which I believe may be the culprit (based on past experiences with web accelerators in general while I managed the support department at a local ISP). She hasn't yet confirmed my suspicions, so I can't say for certain if that's the case.

Your case may be different, Silvermoon. What OS and web browser are you running? Are you using any plugins or extensions with the browser? Are you using any web accelerators or going through any proxies?

I'm leaving for vacation today at the end of my regular work day, so I may or may not be able to help get your issues resolved. If not, hopefully someone else can step in for me and try to help :)

Thanks, mute! My hubby just installed Google Web Accelerator on our computer! (I knew it would be trouble, lol!) I bet that's exactly the problem!

Thanks for the quick response!

You're welcome :)

There's a setting to allow specific sites to bypass the accelerator. Just add ".lonelygirl15.com" (without the quotes) to "Do not use accelerator on these sites" (or something to that effect) field on the Preferences page. That's if you decide to keep the accelerator. I've had issues with accelerators in general, though...

It's not intellect. It's experience. ;) (and you probably won't be swooning if it turns out I'm dead wrong )
