So I'm a long time evil lurker, trying to start to actually be active in a social (social? internet social?) place..
So I'm guessing everyone saw the thing on Oppy's profile on YT... here it is if you haven't seen it..
"Oh dear. If the latch-key kid is on the case, perhaps we should be afraid.
Considering the reading material Tachyon has so generously left behind, young Daniel certainly has our sympathy. Now had they been Hardy Boys books, that would be an entirely different story.
Perhaps once you're finished with those, you might want to check out the adventures of Jessica and Elizabeth Wakefield?"
So maybe I'm a dim-witted 14 year old, but eh. I don't get any of the references here. -___-
Some one care to explain? :}

Jessica and Elizabeth Wakefield are the main characters in the Sweet Valley High book series that was popular in the 80's. I don't know why Op would be referencing them. I read alot of the books when I was a kid (In the 80's! I am getting old!). They were twin girls...do you think Alex and Lucy are twins? But one of them may have dyed their hair? Is this too far fetched?Melisa wrote:So I'm a long time evil lurker, trying to start to actually be active in a social (social? internet social?) place..

I used to love the Sweet Valley High books. High school never lived up to my literary standards.
The SVH and Hardy Boys references have been discussed a bit in Parallax (the OpAphid area) and most likely Plot Discussion as well - but I'm not sure what the final assumed conclusion was. I think it to be more of a classic, sarcastic Op remark regarding the Nancy Drew books rather than the notion that Alex and Lucy are twins...though with all of the new twists in the plot, who knows? It'd be very interesting.

not really, you cant be blamed by the choices of another member of your family, and maybe he never met lucy, probably she was already in the order when he was borncolbertnationgirl wrote:I think it was Op being sarcastic that the Nancy Drew books aren't exactly high level reading. I like the Alex and Lucy twin theory though. It would prove Jonas is evil.
